7/1

*****ONE A DAY - no bet today. Weather affected racing and a 1.17 to win in a seller at Lingfield is the only one of interest today. I would preferplace only but at 1.05 it is not worth it.*****

Hopefully the weekend will provide solid betting opportunities if the weather does not deteriorate.
There will doubtless be a great one a dayer uncovered in the live betting as horses get withdrawn because of the ground.

Ericht placed, albeit nowhere near the 1.17 I had envisioned.
A good day on the horse racing side ( I know some people back these to win, so seeing Cucumber Run, Volcanic Ash, Madam Meyam all winning was a welcome sight.
The 150 was a perfect 3 horse 2 place race and finished as per the betting 1-2-3.

3pm - Russia U18 v Italy U18 - 1.28 home - only £93 available here so its best to leave this alone.

The horse racing looks hit and miss today with 11am inspections at Wolverhampton and Fontwell.

140 LINGFIELD

BETTING FORECAST: Evs Luck Of The Draw, 7/1 Squad, 8/1 Active Asset, 8/1 Hibba, 10/1 Soundbyte, 12/1 It´s Dubai Dolly, 14/1 Burnbrake, 20/1 Jenny Potts, 25/1 Fleur De´lion, 25/1 Rosy Dawn, 33/1 Dawson Creek.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Although both this year's wins have been on Fibresand, LUCK OF THE DRAW (nap) has run well here too and it's probably the case that he's just improved since the summer. Squad can chase him home.[Steffan Edwards]

Guess what? Another price gapper in a class 6 0 - 65 handicap

4/6 - - - - 8/1 in the live betting market.I like meeting these horses as they begin their winning runs - 2 wins now for Luck of the draw and , in this grade especially, we cannot reasonably expect this winning run to continue ( despite the market saying otherwise overwhelmingly)

1.17 to place here in an illiquid market.

240 LINGFIELD

BETTING FORECAST: 1/4 Addwaitya, 6/1 Hatch A Plan, 7/1 Barodine.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: This should be plain sailing for ADDWAITYA, who is by far the pick at the weights and is tactically versatile.[Steffan Edwards]

Oh Joy! A 1/4 shot in a seller in the all weather! 1.17 to win and 1.05 to place.

510 WOLVES

BETTING FORECAST: 6/4 Lord Lansing, 6/1 Al Rayanah, 8/1 Our Kes, 8/1 Tres Froide, 10/1 Fastinthestraight, 10/1 Mr Maximas, 14/1 Duneen Dream, 14/1 Mouchez, 20/1 Flyjack, 20/1 Laura Land, 20/1 Rigid, 33/1 Gems, 50/1 Briary Mac.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: LORD LANSING won't be much of a price but he registered a much-improved effort on unfavourable terms on his Polytrack debut and first run over 1m2f last time and he's the one to beat under his penalty (due to go up further 10lb in future). At bigger odds Our Kes could be worth an each-way dabble back up in trip.[Richard Young]

Another price gapper here who ran badly on standard to slow 2 runs ago and is likely to face it today.

SHORTLIST

A day which seems best left alone.

240 LINGFIELD - Addwaitya looks very obvious here of course - 1.17 to win and 1.05 to place.

This is a 3 horse race and I would have to go with the win only here.

"He can be ridden a little more positively now his new connections know he stays."

The Racing Post points to this as standard rather than standard to slow.

I cannot get involved at Fontwell's heavy ground and Wolverhampton's Standard to slow.
