21/7

BETTING FORECAST: 11/10 Fitz Flyer, 11/4 Jobe, 11/2 Weatherstaff, 10/1 New Tricks, 12/1 Bun Penny, 14/1 Parisian Pyramid .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: FITZ FLYER created a favourable impression on his Beverley debut and only a decent newcomer should prevent him from going one better in maiden company. Jobe, a fellow Gimcrack entrant, could be the most likely one to upset the applecar

Early money for Jobe pushes him into favouritism and Weatherstaff at 3/1. Enough to lay Fitz flyer if short enough?

HAtrick for Murtagh yesterday good for the irish Combos

630 BEV
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Metroland, 5/1 Readily, Smalljohn, 10/1 Compton Ford, Dispol Mulofky, Silent Treatment, 12/1 Conakry, Jethro Bodine, 16/1 Blackwater Fort .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: METROLAND has swerved the nursery route for a crack at a much lower level and, from the inside stall, could prove hard to peg back against the favoured far rail. On balance, Readily might prove her strongest rival.[

Chance to back Metroland here? Diminished field and drop in class

620 WINDSOR
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Institute, 5/2 Special Reserve, 3/1 Sibi Saba, 7/1 Thought Is Free, 14/1 Look To This Day, Madam President, 16/1 Spider Silk, 33/1 No Wonga, 50/1 Aston Boy, Katy Kitten, 66/1 Misselliebee, 100/1 Ryan´s Rock, 200/1 Alright Chuck, Park Run .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Market confidence behind the Godolphin newcomer Siba Saba would be interesting, but preference is for INSTITUTE who shaped with plenty of promise on his only 2yo start and hails from a yard with a good strike-rate here. Special Reserve is becoming expensive to follow but looks easily the best of the remainder with Thought Is Free now having a good deal to prove.

Institute looks layable here at odds on

245 YARMOUTH
BETTING FORECAST: 11/8 Teeky, 7/2 Light Dubai, 10/1 Dazinski, 12/1 Captainrisk, Ray Of Joy, 14/1 Call It On, 16/1 Noble Dictator, 20/1 Come On Toby, Shape Shifter, Transfered, 25/1 Count On Guest, Temperence Hall, 28/1 Baileys Red, 33/1 Rebounding, 66/1 Fawaz ,

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Nothing of those with experience particularly leap off the page and it would be no surprise to see one of the newcomers rise to the top. TEEKY, a nicely bred filly from a family that has done well for these connections, looks the most intriguing one, while Light Dubai (whose yard has won this three times in the last five years) is one of the other likelier types

All debutants - lay the fav here if short enough

Saturday 19 July 2008

19/7

Non runners made Guest Connections very short indeed and my original bet unworkable. Carnalian won as a price gapper, Hoh mike was beaten, and (Rodney you plonker) I flag up the market move on Zuzu and decide you lay it - Jade Goody moment!

740 HAYDOCK
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Welsh Emperor, 5/2 Artimino, 4/1 We´ll Come, 10/1 Silca Chiave, Trinity College, 12/1 Barons Spy .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: WELSH EMPEROR (nap) relishes soft ground and may well be able to dominate. Artimino and We'll Come are capable of much better than their latest run suggests and look the biggest dangers

Lay welsh , 2 near price rivals and soft ground

550 LING
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Rankayo Hitam, 3/1 Hilbre Court, 7/2 Teasing, 6/1 What´s For Tea, 7/1 Sistos Fascination, 12/1 Valverde, 33/1 Autograph Hunter, Babieca, Ile Royale, 50/1 Lady Lorins, 66/1 Tagula Sands .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: A drop in grade can help see RANKAYO HITAM return to winning ways over this proven C&D. Teasing and Hilbre Court are obvious dangers at the weights

Again Rankayo Hitam has 3 near market rivals, hope to lay if short price

240 MR
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Akarshan, 4/1 Kijivu, 6/1 Never Catcher, Tyrur Ted, 8/1 Shot Through, 12/1 Ericarrow, Graze On And On, Joshua, 18/1 So Sublime, 20/1 Galley Slave, 50/1 Jastaanhi, Premier Class, Timewatch .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: This may not take a great deal of winning and the suggestion is the newcomer KIJIVU, who stays 1m4f on the Flat and is from a jumping family. Akarshan and Never Catcher are two others worth considering

Tyrur Ted now fav - significant - prefer place only bet OR lay Akarshan if short enough

415
BETTING FORECAST: 11/10 Sendani, 5/2 Southern Regent, 7/2 Little Lu, 20/1 Karasakal, Parkview Love, 33/1 Cool Sands, Falcons Theatre, King´s Account, One To Note, 100/1 Favouring .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: As things stand SOUTHERN REGENT has a bit to find with Sendani in terms of bare form but the Nicholls runner took a crashing fall last time so has to show his confidence is unaffected. Alan King's runner shaped as though a fair bit better than the result suggested over C&D last time and is open to plenty of improvement. Little Lu is the other danger. [RY]

Again Sendani looks opposable in this 3 horse race

150 NEWB
BETTING FORECAST: 6/4 Awinnersgame, 11/4 Oratory, 11/2 Doctor Crane, 6/1 Firebet, 9/1 Flying Lady, 20/1 Polish Pride, 33/1 Kaiser Willie .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: There should be more to come from Doctor Crane, Firebet and Oratory while Flying Lady would figure prominently if reproducing her Royal Ascot form, but AWINNERSGAME sets a good standard on his Coventry sixth and is down in class

Oratory to place - moved into favouratism

220
BETTING FORECAST: 11/8 Corrybrough, 7/1 Balthazaar´s Gift, 8/1 Strike The Deal, Wi Dud, 10/1 Beckermet, Dark Missile, Edge Closer, 11/1 Intrepid Jack, 14/1 Hoh Hoh Hoh, 25/1 Rowe Park, 33/1 Biniou, 40/1 Excusez Moi, 50/1 Final Verse .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The younger generation have tended to hold sway in this in recent times and the return to 6f should help exciting prospect CORRYBROUGH (nap) take care of the classiest opposition he has encountered. Strike The Deal looks a serious threat on his return to sprinting, while Dark Missile would have claims if back to the form she showed when second in an Ascot Group 2 last yea

HIghly competitive - been winning regularly but opposable in a field where there is quality around

200 NMKT
BETTING FORECAST: 11/10 Lake Windermere, 11/4 Cotton Reel, 6/1 Truly Divine, 8/1 Island Treasure, 10/1 Spotty Muldoon, 14/1 Ashton Heights, 25/1 Flight Of Fashion, 50/1 Emily´s Secret, Gun For Sale, Harryana To, 100/1 Jolie Fleur .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Not much to go on. Better ground will suit LAKE WINDERMERE, who tried to make a fight of it with Persian Sea (winner off 82 at Doncaster on Thursday) on her debut at Newcastle, and she can progress past Cotton Reel who may turn out to be a sprinter.

Again I like seeing form franked, especially in maiden races, and will chance Lake Windermere

Friday 18 July 2008

18/7

More internet problems yesterday
725 HAMILTON
BETTING FORECAST: 4/6 Guest Connections, 5/2 Fire Up The Band, 10/1 Obe One, 20/1 Alfie Lee, 25/1 Ducal Regancy Red, 33/1 Howards Prince, Mutayam, 50/1 La Guancha .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: A poor event. GUEST CONNECTIONS won a better race than this with something in hand over C&D yesterday and a reproduction of that will make him hard to beat

Potential HTB here, but Fire up the band is close - place only on him I think
Alternatively, given the look of the betting forecast Obe one and Alfie Lee each way appeal at big odds in the hope the first 2 in the betting are not the first 2 home

645 NMKT
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Carniolan, 7/1 Blue Sky Basin, Danish Art, Naval Review, 8/1 Choiseau, 12/1 Solar Spirit, 14/1 Brassini, 20/1 Mister Fips, San Jose City, 25/1 Arctic Cape, Charlie Allnut, Far Gone, Talk Of Saafend, 33/1 Ballycroy Boy, 50/1 Dry Speedfit .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: A competitive handicap in which the visor may well do the trick with Naval Review. The likes of Choiseau and Danish Art are open to further improvement but it was hard not to be taken by CARNIOLAN last weekend and he's the call under a penalty.

Quite a price gap there - very noticeable - and it remains in the live market (albeit 6 hours before off time) "a competitive handicap"
A back bet for me at odds against to rack up another 1.

715
BETTING FORECAST: 11/8 Hoh Mike, 5/2 Peace Offering, 7/2 Cute Ass, 10/1 Prior Warning, 12/1 Matsunosuke, 14/1 Biniou, Sakhee´s Song, 66/1 Thoughtsofstardom, 200/1 Lindbergh, 500/1 Little Miss Ginger, Shatter Resistant ,

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The weights favour Hoh Mike but he is not the easiest to win with given his run style and it remains to be seen how he takes to a visor. Preference is for the more straightforward PEACE OFFERING (nap) who suggested he retains all his speed in a Sandown Group 3 on his recent return when not far behind the Bell colt despite being hampered

Reasons to Lay Hoh Mike , especially if getting odds on?

245 NOTT
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Master Rooney, 11/4 Zuzu, 6/1 Spinners End, 8/1 Definightly, 10/1 Cook´s Endeavour, 12/1 Waahej, 14/1 Mabait, 20/1 Yaldas Girl, 25/1 Join Up, 33/1 Mattamia, 50/1 Liliaceae, 100/1 Prom ,

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: MASTER ROONEY sets the standard among those with experience and gets the thumbs up, though it would be no surprise to see Lowther entrant Zuzu make a race of it. Spinners End is one of the more likely newcomers

2nd fav a newcomer and fancied against Master Rooney. Lay Zuzu if can get odds on in the hope experience and Master Rooney can beat it

Wednesday 16 July 2008

16/7

Solo Act 4th at 85/40 - a nice lay - Hand painted was appauling in another small field maiden won by a 25/1 shot! Copperbottomed unplaced and Billion dollar kid won.Kritzia duly placed

Irish combos - one qualifer came in a race where the odds were 2/1, followed by 9/4, 9/4 -not really an ideal race eh? MAjestic concorde won at 7/4

"but it is a friendly" - those famous last words as Villa were stuffed 3-1 by Lincoln!

230 CATT
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Solo Attempt, 15/8 Inheritor, 5/1 Veronicas Boy, 10/1 Little Tokyo, 14/1 Digger Derek, 16/1 Sardan Dansar, 33/1 Dark Oasis, Smoke Me A Kipper .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Veronicas Boy is relatively exposed and could struggle under his penalty against INHERITOR and Solo Attempt. The latter's form looks less solid and slight preference is for Inheritor who is the one with the proven stamina

Digger Derek currently into 8/1 - significant? May be worth each way support

330
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Discanti, 3/1 Know No Fear, 4/1 Kinout, Sudden Impact, 7/1 Style Award, 25/1 Firenza Bond, 33/1 Baytown Blaze .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: It is possible to make a case for most of the runners. Discanti is the obvious improver but it is debatable whether he has made enough progress to confirm Haydock superiority over KNOW NO FEAR at the revised weights

Lay the fav then if " it is possible to make a case for most of the runners"! Of course we need to try to get the shortest price

500
BETTING FORECAST: 11/10 Next Of Kin, 3/1 Highland Laddie, 11/2 Silk Drum, 12/1 Rivington Pike, 16/1 Caffari, 20/1 Jackday, Miss Serena, 25/1 Spooky, 33/1 Pequeno Dinero, Templetuohy Max .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The step up to this trip saw an improved effort from NEXT OF KIN (nap) when pipped at Hamilton and his 6lb higher mark was made much more palatable when the winner followed up in fine style at Ayr on Monday. Highland Laddie is feared mos

I always like to see form franked and this could be the case with Next of Kin - the beginning of a winning sequence?

620 KEMPTON
BETTING FORECAST: 3/1 Constant Cheers, Show Winner, 5/1 Alexander Guru, Aypeeyes, 7/1 Ross Moor, 8/1 Safari Sundowner, 20/1 Towerofcharlemagne, Yab Adee .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Quite a tight heat but a big run can be expected from SHOW WINNER, who has slipped right back into the groove since returning from a year out and this step back up in trip can only benefit Andrew Balding's charge

Quite a tight heat - lay the shortest priced horse then? Again preference for a nice short price

220 LING
BETTING FORECAST: 6/4 Plavius, Talayeb, 5/1 Sacred Flame, 10/1 Who´s This, 20/1 Magpie, 33/1 Al Mogeer, Cape Roberto, 66/1 Sarah´s Boy, 100/1 Ma Ridge, Steady Gaze .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Not a race to get heavily involved in and no surprise to see one of the outsiders pop up. Talayeb did better under a more aggressive ride on faster ground last time, but he's blown out badly a few times and it's rather offputting to see headgear back on. PLAVIUS was a costly failure himself in one run as a 2yo but he'll never be found an easier opportunity

Lay the fav then!

420
BETTING FORECAST: Evs Master Of Arts, 4/1 Furnace, 5/1 Vortex, 6/1 Hazzard County, 10/1 Dubai Meydan .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: It's anybody's guess who'll make the running and a tactical affair is quite possible. MASTER OF ARTS (nap) eventually won with a bit in hand here last time and is taken to complete the five-timer for his in-form yard (9-21 this month going into Sandown last night)

Winning sequence to end? On a 5 timer - the live odds will indicate a lay

410 UTTOXETER
BETTING FORECAST: 4/6 William Butler, 5/1 Karo De Vindecy, 6/1 Lace Your Boots, 12/1 Reasonably Sure, 14/1 Mistified, 16/1 Rash Moment, 25/1 Najca De Thaix, 33/1 Loriko D´Airy .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: WILLIAM BUTLER will surely start to feel the effects of his busy spell soon but he has been winning so impressively that he cannot be opposed in this company. Karo De Vindecy can chase him home

handicap chase - won 3 already - the sequence will end soon and hopefully the horse will be short enough to allow an odds on lay

905 WORCESTER
BETTING FORECAST: 15/8 Nortonthorpe Lad, 4/1 Flying Grey, 11/2 The Snail, 6/1 Jam Packed, 9/1 Bathwick Breeze, 14/1 Tayman, 16/1 Highland Games, Waldo´s Dream, 25/1 Dansilver, 33/1 Earnest, Sultan Fontenaille, 66/1 Grave Doubts .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: There are several here good enough to win a race of this type but they may all have to play second fiddle to NORTONTHORPE LAD (nap), if he can show the same sizzling form that saw him romp to victory two days ago

Lay the fav?

Combos up at Leopardstown tonight

Tuesday 15 July 2008

15/7

315 BEV
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Desert Falls, 11/4 Solo Act, 6/1 Positivity, 13/2 Monsieur Jourdain, Noble Heart, 16/1 Cool Sonata, Noodles Blue Boy, 20/1 Sale Or Return, Shadows Lengthen, 25/1 Future Gem, Real Diamond ,

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Desert Falls sets the standard but his C&D form has a hole or two to be picked in it and SOLO ACT, who is the daughter of an early 2yo, is taken to emulate her dam by winning first time out

Solo act's odds shortened - but a debutant - 5 furlong maiden - worth laying if short enough - how on earth are we going to know how the horse is going to perform?

230 BRIGHTON
BETTING FORECAST: 2/1 Hand Painted, 9/4 Johnny Rook, Skid Solo, 10/1 Kutanga, 14/1 Cash In The Attic, 40/1 Cashed Up ,

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Quite a warm little maiden. Hand Painted shaped really well when a long way in front of Cash In The Attic at Chepstow on his debut and is expected to improve plenty on that which makes him a major contender, but it may pay to give JOHNNY ROCK another chance back at the trip over which he shaped so well on his debut. Skid Solo is the other one who has an ordinary maiden within his compass and must be considered.

Decimated field leaves a virtual 2 horse race BUT this is a maiden. Interesting to see whether betfair still payout 2 for the place as this could be a good place to start. Hand painted for me to win in a 50/50 toss of a coin

610 GREAT LEIGHS
BETTING FORECAST: 10/11 Billion Dollar Kid, 4/1 Bazguy, 6/1 Copperbottomed, 10/1 Wreningham, 12/1 Glenveagh, 20/1 Azzaamm, Bahamian Blue, Rockjumper, 66/1 Westwood Dawn ,

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Billion Dollar Kid's best form would see him win this as he pleased but he has been reported as having a breathing problem, is back in trip and tackling Polytrack for the first time. Copperbottomed is unlikely to be far away, but BAZGUY faces his optimum conditions here and can capitalise on this drop in grad

I made a mistake yesterday of opposing an odds on shot and NOT laying it, rather looking for something to beat it, BUT I like Copperbottomed who put in an excellent run and at 5/1 is an each way chance.
I can't make my mind up regarding laying Billion Dollar Kid - lots of negatives and 5/6 won't harm the liability

640 GREAT LEIGHS
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Foresight, 9/4 Solas Alainn, 7/2 Kritzia, 6/1 Don´t Stop Me Now, 25/1 Kaichou, Sponge, 66/1 Renege The Joker .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Foresight's debut effort sets the standard here but he wasn't at his best on his reappearance and could be worth taking on this time. Kritzia looks sure to do better with her initial outing under her belt but this step up in trip should suit SOLAS ALAINN well and he can get off the mark at the fourth attemp

An intersting early market with Foresight out to 10/3, and Kritzia in to 15/8 -significant? 7 horses - 2 the place - a potential 3 (stretch to 4) horse race - Kritzia to place.

KILLARNEY tonight - irish combos represented by Pat Smullen but the prices are short

FOOTY
I had some success with a half hearted back of Blackburn against MAcclesfield - ince as Manager - first signing Robbie Fowler - Ince has also looked into signing Gordon BAnks, Pele, and George Best who ince has mentioned as " an upcoming talent from Northern Ireland"

Villa take on Lincoln tonight in another friendly having been unable to beat the mighty FC Zurich ( 2 pens for them so may have been unfair)
This should be easy pickings but is a friendly

Monday 14 July 2008

14/7

Well Moonstone first and 66/1 stable mate Ice Queen 2nd for the combos.!
No blog yesterday given the broadband problems.
310 AYR
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Holiday Cocktail, 4/1 Annibale Caro, 6/1 Chin Wag, 8/1 Polish Corridor, Shy Glance, 12/1 Dar Es Salaam, 16/1 Always Brave, Wednesdays Boy, 20/1 Grethel, 33/1 Polish Star .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Holiday Cocktail is an obvious contender, unpenalised for last week's Pontefract success over Annibale Caro, but CHIN WAG looked well worth a crack at this trip when second here last week and can build on an already respectable course record.
Holiday Cocktail layable for me - again prefer odds on

410
BETTING FORECAST: Evs Capucci, 5/1 Fitzroy Crossing, 6/1 Ninefineirishmen, 8/1 Resounding Glory, 10/1 Doon Haymer, 12/1 Boy Blue, 20/1 Bavarian Nordic .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: This is a better race than the one CAPUCCI (nap), John Gosden's only runner on the card, won at Newbury last time but he looks open to further improvement and can defy a 6lb rise.

2 to place, Capucco should place

220 NA
BETTING FORECAST: 11/10 Trinity Rose, 7/2 Briteside, 5/1 Marigolds Way, 10/1 Vic´s World, 14/1 Lets Get Busy, 16/1 Back The Bid, 20/1 Flowing Valley, Gotta Get On, 25/1 Fishguard Filly, Romney Marsh, 33/1 Daramoon, 100/1 Cushty, Silverick Lady, 150/1 Sterling Moll .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: TRINITY ROSE needs to brush up her jumping but she should carry too much firepower for these rivals on ground that suits. Briteside is an interesting newcomer to hurdles for her top yard

2nd and 3rd fav each way for me.

Quiet day for me

Saturday 12 July 2008

12/7

Mazzola placed at 1.52, surprisingly Jolly hockeysticks unplaced. Yamal won so the lay lost. Doughnut won. Hamish McGonnigall won and irple Cee lost, albeit a relatively bigger priced lay.
Irish combos - 12/1 unplaced, 8/1 unplaced, 1st 4/1 at Wexford, 3rd 10/1 and again enhanced odds on BEtfair ensure we scrape a profit
Note too the number of evens and lower horses who lost in Ireland AGAIN, a quick glance showed 5th at evens and 2nd at 1/2. This is a regular occurence and something worth investigating for odds on layers

8 meetings on bookie benefit day

ASCOT
220
BETTING FORECAST: 6/5 Markyg, 7/2 Sixties Swinger, 4/1 Pegasus Lad, 11/2 Rio Del Oro, 16/1 Fisher Hill, 25/1 The Cheka .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The score between MARKYG and Pegasus Lad stands at 1-1, but the Chesham Stakes, in which Karl Burke's colt came out clearly the better, looks much the more relevant piece of form. The betting should give an idea of expecations for the newcomers

Lay Markyg if odds on? 3 in close enough proximity to be deemed rivals

255
BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Cesare, 2/1 Ramonti, 11/2 Archipenko, 12/1 Pressing, 16/1 Elusive Warning, 25/1 Barshiba, Kandidate .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: With the doubt over Ramonti's fitness - although Godolphin's Hala Bek was also presumably thought badly in need of his race on Thursday, when he won by 7l - and Archipenko and Pressing looking vulnerable under their penalties, this should be a good opportunity for course specialist CESARE.[RA]

Group 2 class 1 - lay the fav if we can engineer odds on either pre race or thru keep bets. Looks to concern the 3 but in races of this nature outsiders in class 2 races are still class 2 horses!

435
BETTING FORECAST: 11/4 Crimson Fern, 5/1 Strike Up The Band, 6/1 Siren´s Gift, 13/2 Mac Gille Eoin, 8/1 Judd Street, The Trader, 10/1 Something, 11/1 Matsunosuke, 14/1 Evens And Odds, 33/1 Sir Edwin Landseer .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: CRIMSON FERN has improved out of all recognition and although things have not worked out for her in every race this season, they have on five occasions and it is very hard to go against her given the style of her Sandown win eight days ago. Siren's Gift and Strike Up The Band are feared most.[RA]

Crimson Fern alternate form 12131 -another place or a win to break the sequence? I'll chance a lay here, again trying to get as low odds as possible

545
BETTING FORECAST: 6/4 Cheveton, 11/2 What Do You Know, 6/1 Efistorm, Hereford Boy, 14/1 Blessed Place, Cape Royal, Malapropism, 16/1 Digital, Thoughtsofstardom, 20/1 Calabaza .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: CHEVETON (nap) is going from strength to strength and makes easily the most appeal. Efistorm could be the chief problem if, as suspected, he has come on for his first two runs this season.

Highly progressive form for the fav here. Won his last 2 by 11/2 and 2 1/2 lengths - so convincing enough. Again we face the conundrum - hatrick or will the weight penalties stop the sequence? Place only for me today. I think another solid run is on the cards

335 CHESTER
BETTING FORECAST: 15/8 Borderlescott, 11/4 Oldjoesaid, 11/2 Hoh Hoh Hoh, 6/1 Green Manalishi, 15/2 Angus Newz, 9/1 Day By Day, 20/1 Bertoliver, 33/1 Foxy Music, 40/1 Coconut Moon, 500/1 Willhewiz .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The two best runners have the widest draws to contend with which certainly muddies the waters. Angus Newz is perfectly drawn to attack and will make a bold bid to fulfil her trainer's dream of winning this race with her but BORDERLESCOTT, who ran so well for this rider in a Haydock Group 2, and Oldjoesaid may ultimately have too much class for he

Looks layable the fav here in a competitive field

410
BETTING FORECAST: 11/8 Like For Like, 9/4 Red Baron Dancer, 8/1 Say You Say Me, Titus Andronicus, 12/1 Lemon Dash, 14/1 Ballade De La Mer, 16/1 Lucky Numbers, 20/1 Dark Velvet, 33/1 Accomplishment, Peckforton .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: LIKE FOR LIKE may be worth one more chance as she had a legitimate excuse when a beaten favourite for the third time at Brighton on Monday and, on previous form, in particular a third in a 5f Windsor maiden two starts back, is definitely the one to beat. Red Baron Dancer may well be next best unless there is a strong market move for one of the newcomers, none of whom make strong appeal on paper.

SUccessful odds on lay for me last time, place only bet today

IRISH COMBOS at Curragh and Dundalk

640 HAMILTON
BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Glenveagh, 3/1 Johnston´s Glory, 5/1 Saafend Geezer, 7/1 Gelert, Violet´s Pride, 10/1 Mensadil, 14/1 Head To Head, 25/1 Portugal, 33/1 La Guancha, Terandeil, 66/1 Sokoke, 100/1 Deer Park Lord, Ourbelle .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Races don't come much weaker than this one. GLENVEAGH hasn't run since last summer but he showed enough on two starts last year to suggest he should go well in a race of this nature for his in-form yard if retaining any of that abilit

LAy Glenveagh here ,again try to secure a shorter price

725 SALIS
BETTING FORECAST: 11/10 Tudor Key, 3/1 Canwinn, 6/1 Granski, 8/1 Full Toss, 16/1 Silver Print, 25/1 Kidson, Prince Siegfried, 33/1 Dubai Crest, Meirig´s Dream, Zaruschka, 50/1 Bermondsey Bob, 100/1 Into My Arms .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The betting should provide some pointers to the prospects of the newcomers but no surprise if the form horses Canwinn and TUDOR KEY dominate, though the ability of both to handle soft ground has to be taken on trust

Lay tudor key - "ability...to handle soft ground has to be taken on trust"

800
BETTING FORECAST: Evs Topazes, 9/2 Traphalgar, 6/1 Border Owl, 8/1 Meydan Dubai, 10/1 Majority, 14/1 Bere Davis, 20/1 Rich Kid, 25/1 Ten Pole Tudor .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Successful four times and runner-up twice since venturing into handicaps, TOPAZES (nap) may not have finished progressing just yet and, proven on soft ground, looks difficult to oppose with solid alternatives thin on the ground. Traphalgar could emerge as the main dange

Winnign sequence has already been broken so we may have missed the lay. A new winning sequence started? Chance a win, perference place

FOOTY
Friendlies today and again no motivation makes it difficult to guage odds. Man Utd are 1.51 against Aberdeen. Neutral over 2.5 goals bet here, ditto in the Liverpool match I think.
