8/7

Nice to get like for like beaten in a 4 runner race, and Game Lady in the sprint seller. I thought we had Highland Warrioir but he won by a neck! And I thought Sweet applause won but he lost by a neck. Infinity Bond won well at 7/2 capping off a reasonable day
Luminous Eyes at 10/1 for Weld /Smullen at Roscommon got the Irish Combos off to a flyer ( remember on BEtfair, the odds would have been far bigger than 10/1 given the 1/2 favourite)
Following races - 2nd at 4/1, unplaced 9/1, 2nd 10/1 and 3rd 12/1. The ideal - to stop after bagging one in the first given the heavy ground and the enhanced BEtfair odds.

ETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Syvilla, 9/4 London Bid, 7/2 Siyabona, 6/1 Gifted Leader, 10/1 Hevelius, 20/1 Decibel, 33/1 Sweet Destiny, White Lightening, 100/1 Glenisland, I Feel Fine, 200/1 Alright Chuck .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The market should be highly revealing about London Bid, but SYVILLA looked a certain future winner when going close at Lingfield last time and the greater emphasis on stamina on a track like today's is expected to suit

"looked a certain future winner"

Look, though, at the close proximity of London Bid and Siyabona in the betting forecast. Current 2/1 for a "certain future winner" looks worthy of investment. Those put off by the close proximity of opponents price wise could entertain place only betting.

BETTING FORECAST: Evs Le Toreador, 4/1 Select Committee, 6/1 Beat The Bell, 8/1 Grudge, 14/1 Another Socket, Barraland, 16/1 Revue Princess, 20/1 Paddy Jack, 33/1 Chinese Temple .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Deteriorating ground is the one concern for LE TOREADOR who is progressing quickly now and looked well ahead of the handicapper at Kempton last week. In contrast softening ground will be all in the favour of Select Committee who responded well to a first-time visor when winning at Newcastle last time with Grudge and Revue Princess behind

To lay or not to lay?
Has won 2 on the trot now - did you remember Precision break ? - that multiple handicap winner I laid who won by 7 lengths - I said to lay it when he was next out and he ran yesterday - and duly lost.
Well, in which category do we put Le Toreador? Is there one more win ? Will there be deteriorating ground? If so, this may signal a lay.
As things stand I believe another win is possible BUT will not bet if ground conditions deteriorate.

BETTING FORECAST: 4/5 Heritage Coast, 5/1 Nisaal, 8/1 Boucheron, Motarid, 12/1 Lough Diver, 14/1 Manalito, 20/1 Major Promise, Yes Sir, 33/1 Bella Medici, Kaichou, 100/1 Tuxedo, Willaby Lad .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The return to this trip will suit HERITAGE COAST and she can gain a well-deserved success. Boucheron may be able to reverse last month's C&D form with Motarid and could emerge as the main danger ahead of Nisaal.

4 2nds on the trot -1/2 -I will chance the win on this favourite.

ROSCOMMON - watch out for irish combos, BUT be careful of heavy ground - I would prefer backing the bigger prices in the heavier ground
