7/7

Back to business after a weekend in Dublin!
230 BRIGHTON
BETTING FORECAST: 10/11 Like For Like, 2/1 Wohaida, 11/2 Night Of Fortune, 12/1 Imaginary Diva .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Wohaida is evidently held in a bit of regard having been at the head of the market on both her starts and she looks the main threat to LIKE FOR LIKE, who has several pounds in hand on her bare form and seems likely to be better suited by the sharp test at the trip, unless there's plenty of rain.[
Odds on favourite here - only 4 runners - ie only 3 to beat. Still worth laying given that "Wohaida is evidently held in a bit of regard"
A more risky lay but odds on so that's the positive

300
BETTING FORECAST: 15/8 Game Lady, 9/2 Jal Music, 11/2 Cleveland, Young Ivanhoe, 6/1 Bye Baby Bunting, 10/1 Majestical, 16/1 Half A Tsar, 25/1 Moon Forest, 33/1 Ela Aleka Mou, Pretty Selma, 50/1 Vlasta Weiner .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Some sort of case can be made for several of these but the strongest claims belong to GAME LADY, whose Windsor win last week makes her 1-1 in selling company and she's also 1-1 for Seb Sanders. Bye Baby Bunting and Young Ivanhoe both drop to this level for the first time and also might be involved.[

Which side of the fence? " some sort of case can be made for several of these" indicates the fav is unlikely to have it her own way"
but Game lady is also a price gapper of sorts. The thing is that this is a seller. From a layer's perspective I like the fact there is 4 horses sub 10/1 who could provide some resistance and the threat of rain will be welcome for the layer.
Again if odds on, I will chance the lay

215 MUSSELBURGH
BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Highland Warrior, 3/1 Fire Up The Band, 7/1 High Reach, 8/1 Welcome Approach, 10/1 Throw The Dice, 12/1 Valiant Romeo, 25/1 One Trick Pony, 33/1 Howards Prince, La Guancha, 50/1 Percy Douglas, 66/1 Compton Lad, 100/1 Sokoke .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: HIGHLAND WARRIOR (nap), a C&D winner a couple of years ago, has been knocking at the door off marks around 70 of late and should be able to pick these up as long as he doesn't lose too much ground at the start and gets the breaks. Any rain would work in his favour. Throw The Dice is drawn to attack and should do better now he's had a ru

Because this is 5 furlongs and a seller, and , liking the close proximity of Fire up the Band, Highland Warrior looks a good lay , and should be short given punters will latch onto the fact this is a NAP. Again odds on ensures no liability issues.

315
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Forrest Star, 5/2 Infinity Bond, 4/1 Billy Cadiz, 7/1 Hester Brook, 8/1 Rascasse, 33/1 Cranworth Blaze, 50/1 Cabin Gate .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: There's nothing between Infinity Bond and Forrest Star on official figures. The market will help as regards newcomer BILLY CADIZ but he's been found the ideal race for his debut anyway

A shove out to 4/1 would usually sound the death knell to Infinity Bond, but he now becomes an each way selection given "there's nothing between" the front 2 on official figures

720 RIPON
BETTING FORECAST: 4/5 Sweet Applause, 5/1 Kutanga, 13/2 First City, 10/1 Identity, 16/1 Lunar Romance, Rossett Rose, 20/1 Paint Splash, 25/1 Jessica Mary, 33/1 Inventing Paradise, 50/1 Look For Value, Real Diamond, 66/1 Aven Mac, Dispol Kintie, Without Equal, 100/1 Pennine Rose .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: For all that there may be some reservations about exactly what SWEET APPLAUSE achieved at Ascot, she still ran to a level that would make her hard to beat in most maidens for 2yo fillies and assuming she can reproduce that form over this extra furlong she can get off the mark. The newcomers will probably provide her biggest opponents with Kutanga and First City chief amongst them

"clearly the one to beat" after a satisfactory run in the Queen Mary. Restrictive odds and could be a back today

ROSCOMMON
Usual Irish Combos to note. I will have to check their performance this weekend gone.
