10/1

Yesterday I made the wrong decision. Today I need to make the right decision - safety or speculation? The former would involve a straight back of Australia in the match odds at a restrictive 1.07.
Halftime though is 1.32 and given UAE and Kuwait both led 2-0 and 3-0 against India at half time in November, augurs well for an Aussie squad with Cahill up front. My only concern may be the heat?
If UAE and Kuwait can score 5 by halftime, surely Australia can muster 1 in the first half at least to no reply?
Further speculation in the 335 Wolves with 3 horses and 2 places. You simply take a chance here but the place only odds are quite reasonable.
More speculation with Lord Villez who will be a very decent place only price if the novice chase goes as per the betting market.
Secret World at 1.13 looks a solid proposition for Barry Geraghty

*****ONE A DAY - India v Australia - back Australia in the Half Time market at 1.31*****
First match of the tournament. Obviously superior, my hope is that Australia can replicate UAE and Kuwait against India and win at halftime.

Huge disappointment yesterday as there were many other alternatives . I presumed a poor Jordan side would be easy pickings for World Cup contenders Japan.

115pm - India v Australia - 1.08 Australia -can they translate that 1.08 to goals?Asian handicap begins at +2.5 which makes over 2.5 goals at 1.39 attractive.

1.33 halftime/fulltime Aus/Aus enhances the odds too.

5pm -
Omonia v Alki Larnaca - 1.19 home 8 wins and 4 draws in last 12 for Omonia.4 game winning run ended with a 0-0 draw.
5 game winning streak at home, scoring 4,1,2,3,2
2nd with a game in hand but 7
points behind, this is a must win against 12th of 14.
Alki have won 4 of their last 12 only, but importantly, 3 wins in last 4 matches ( in all competitions)
Alki have won 4 and drawn 3 away matches in the league WWLLLWW - 2 wins on the trot.
September 2010 saw an Omonia away win in head to heads. Prior to that the last head to head was 2008.

1.19 over 1.5 goals is interesting but Alki's last 2 losses were 1-0 aways.

145 TAUNTON

BETTING FORECAST: 4/5 Secret World, 4/1 Dona, 5/1 Thunderstorm, 10/1 Old Way, 14/1 Decoy, 16/1 Reverend Green, 33/1 Ladies Dancing, 33/1 Light Dragoon, 66/1 Jomade, 66/1 Turf Legends, 100/1 Draco Boy, 200/1 Empty Scabbard, 200/1 Persian Present, 200/1 William Womble.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Thunderstorm looked a bright prospect when winning his bumper last term, but SECRET WORLD (nap) was just touched off when well clear of Dona on his hurdling debut at Newbury last month and should prove too speedy for him.[Dave Orton]

I am hoping the ground remains as it is stated in the Racing Post. Secret World represents Nicky Henderson and has the excellent Barry Geraghty onboard.

One of only 3 under 14/1 now, Dona could be the value alternative if we could trust the betting market as accurate.

155 TOWCESTER

BETTING FORECAST: 1/3 Rackham Lerouge, 7/2 Lord Villez, 14/1 King Ozzy, 33/1 Raspbary.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The odds are unlikely to tempt but it is hard to get away from RACKHAM LEROUGE after his highly encouraging chasing debut. Lord Villez is most likely to take advantage of any jumping lapses.[Frank Carter]

Another value alternative in Lord Villez against the novice chase hotpot.

335 WOLVES

BETTING FORECAST: 6/4 Unbreak My Heart, 9/4 Midnight Strider, 3/1 Haveahaarth.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Question marks over all of these. Unbreak My Heart is the pick of the weights in this lower grade but he doesn't really appeal as one to be taking too short a price about. Ravi River faces a very tough task at these weights and this could go to MIDNIGHT STRIDER, who should be suited by the drop back to this trip and the drop to this grade and who could be allowed to dominate.[Richard Young]

Best probability race by a long chalk.

It's a seller so a case of pick and hope - you have a 66% chance of placing.

SHORTLIST
115pm - India v Australia - 1.08 Australia - the Aussies will win, the question we need answering is whether they will oblige with over 2.5 goals ( as I suspect the Indians may not get a sniff here) and halftime/fulltime? You would suspect the Australians to be able to breach India in the first 45 minutes when priced at 1.08 ( rather generous as they are 1/100 elsewhere!)

Surely not another Asian Cup shock this one? In their last 4 losses, India have lost at halftime.

0,0,2,1,0,0 the goals scored, though, by the Aussies , in their last 6 matches. Granted, the Aussies have been playing a higher calibre of team than India. Injuries for India suggest that they are there for the experience and expect nothing from this match.

145 TAUNTON - Secret World is warm order here at 1.5 to win and 1.13 to place. ( Australia are only .05 points below and are far safer propositions)

Dona at 1.39 appeals as the value play here although faith in the market!!

155 TOWCESTER - novice chases are difficult betting mediums ( given the n word!) Rackham lerouge is 1.13 to place here for McCoy, but must complete as always.

Value could be Lord Villez if this race is dominated by the 2 under 12/1 - very illiquid place only price, one would hope it replicates the current 1.68 to place but that will not happen ( only £63 available!)

335 WOLVES - 3 horses and 2 places - simple as that really. A seller so any indepth form analysis is pretty much redundant and I tend to take my cues from the betting market.

The fav in the place market is Unbreak my heart at 1.21 to place. - The outsider is 1.97 to place ( the market giving him a 50/50 chance of placing in a race where the odds of placing are 66%)
