10/7

betfA chance on Hougang United getting spanked again by a top 5 side away from home ( 5,4,4,5 against top 5)

***** ONE A DAY - 1230pm - Singapore Armed Forces v Hougang United - back S.A.F in the match odds at 1.31*****

Ahh, Qatar - what was I afraid of? BAyern bet of he century after team news of course ( which I could not supply at time of writing). Nice to get a correct score for Sligo, and a contrarian stance for the ladies would have paid off as Germany struggled. I did expect a late 2nd half goal though.

The horse racing was v difficult yesterday and definitely bookie benefit day.

1230pm - Singapore Armed Forces v Hougang Utd - 1.33 home
HEAD TO HEADS
15.04.2011 D1 Hougang United 1-2 Singapore Armed Forces

01.03.2010 LC Singapore Armed Forces 1-3 Sengkang Punggol
16.10.2009 D1 Sengkang Punggol 0-1 Singapore Armed Forces

same scoreline last twice and 4 of last 5 matches over 2.5 goals. General trend towards an eventual S.A.F.win.
LEAGUE POSITION - 4th v 6th - 38 points play 28 points after 18 matches ( max 54 points)

HOME TEAM - -S.A.F.

RECENT HOME FORM - WWLWDWWW - 4 wins in last 5 matches - loss ( 1-0) against 2nd and draw ( 1-1) against 5th. Wins against 11th, 12th, 1st, 7th, 9th, 8th, and playing 6th today. Only 1 draw in last 23 home matches.

RECENT FORM OVERALL - WWLWWLWWWDLDWWWWWL - solid look to overall form. Losses v 7th, 2nd, 3rd, and most recently away to top side ( 3-2 loss)

GOAL TRENDS - OOUUUOUO( where o is overs and U is unders) at home recently is a mixed bag. 6 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw, 3 clean sheets. 2 scored , 0.63 conceded on average at home. OOOOUOOO overall goal trend signals over 2.5 goals quite clearly in recent matches.

STREAKS - 4 won in a row at home, 6 without a loss at home, 7 overall without a draw.

AWAY TEAM - HOUGANG - we need to acknowledge the name change - did it bring a personnel change?

RECENT AWAY FORM - LLLWWWLWL - not a draw in sight away from home. Wins against 8th, 9th, 11th, 12th any coincidence ( bottom half) 7 of the 8 away matches over 2.5 goals. 5-2, 4-2, 4-2, 5-1 the away losses to top 5 sides ( remember S.A.F. are 5th)

RECENT OVERALL FORM - WLLLWLDWLWWWLWLWWL - overall no draw in 11 matches. Losses recently v today's opponents ( 1-2) - S.A.F. were 2-0 up, 1st, 7th and 4th. WIns against 4th, 11th, 12th, 2nd , 9th, 8th. Wins against 4th and 2nd procured at home.

GOAL TRENDS - 6 of last 8 matches overall over 2.5 goals. 8 of last 9 away matches over 2.5 goals. 4 wins, 5 losses, no draws.2 clean sheets. 2.44 scored, 2.56 conceded away on average

STREAKS - 12 away without a draw.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS SAF 2-0 up in most recent away H2H fits in with current odds. 4 wins in last 5 for SAF includes wins against 7th, 8th, 9th ( playing 6th). Losses overall against 7th, 2nd and 3rd. At home, mixed bag regarding overs/unders but in overall form unquestionable over 2.5 goals trend. 7 overall without a draw fits Hougang 12 away without a draw. Away wins for Hougang have come against teams 8th or lower. 7/8 away matches over 2.5 goals. Have conceded 5,4,4,5 against top 5 sides away ( SAF are 5th) 6 of last 8 matches over 2.5 goals , 8/9 away overs.
Lay the Draw?
Over 2.5 goals ( but concern that SAF home goal trends not distinctly overs)
Will Hougang concede 4/5 again as they have done in all aways against top 5.

3pm - Umea FC v Hammarby TFF - 1.19 home
HEAD TO HEADS
22.08.2010 D3N Umeå FC 1-2 Hammarby TTF
20.06.2010 D3N Hammarby TTF 0-4 Umeå FC

Mixed 2010 head to heads.
LEAGUE POSITION - 1st v 14th of 14 with 12 matches played.

HOME TEAM - UMEA

RECENT HOME FORM - WDWWWD - draws against 2nd (0-0) and 4th (1-1) and wins against 5th,7th, 10th and 12th. In 3 of the 4 wins, Umea managed to score 2 goals.

RECENT FORM OVERALL - WWWDDWDWWWDD - unbeaten this season so worse case today a draw? Draws against 2nd, 3rd, 4th 8th and 13th. Wins against 9th, 12th, 6th, 5th, 7th, 11th, 10th.

GOAL TRENDS - Umea have scored 2 or more in all wins, and are priced today to score at least 2 goals - ergo a win? UUOOUU at home and overall UUOUUOOOOUUU - mixed bag really. Last 2 matches 1-1 draws

STREAKS - 4 wins, 2 draws , 3 clean sheets, 1.33 scored 0.5 conceded. 12 without a loss overall. 6 at home without a loss.

AWAY TEAM - HAMMARBY

RECENT AWAY FORM - LLLLLL - no goal scored in last 5 losses for Hammarby

RECENT OVERALL FORM - LLLWLDLDLLLL - win against 12th, draws against 6th and 2nd, both 1-1's so if you think that Hammarby can get a draw, back the 1-1.

GOAL TRENDS - last 4 matches over 2.5 goals. Hammarby have conceded 3 or more in their last 4 matches. No goal scored in last 5 aways. 6 losses away, 0.17 scored and 2.5 conceded on average.

STREAKS - 10 away without a draw, 8 match away losing streak.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - Well it is obvious that the Hammarby of the head to heads is different currently. Unable to score in last 5 away matches, it seems that if Umea score they win. I would look to back Umea with a 1-1 cover perhaps? hammarby have a terrible goals record with recounts a possible 3 goal scoreline for Umea. 4 of Umea's 6 home matches unders and last 3 overall unders might put a dampener on a goals bet.

330pm - IFK Goteborg v Syrianska FC - 1.47 home
HEAD TO HEADS
02.07.2011 D1 Syrianska FC 1-2 IFK Göteborg

LEAGUE POSITION - 9th v 14th after 15 matches

HOME TEAM - IFK

RECENT HOME FORM - LLWWDLD - wholly inconsistent, losses against 1st, 10th and 11th

RECENT FORM OVERALL - LLLLWWWDDWLWDLW - have just played this team 2nd July

I'm going to end the research there. IFK are inconsistent at home, and the recent meeting ( last meeting for both sides) might change the dynamic of this match. Both sides will be very familiar with each other and may quickly learn from the last match which was a 1-1 until a 2-1 win for IFK 2nd half.

5pm - Shakhtar v Obolon - 1.19 home
- Ukrainian top flight begins today and of course there is no form to go on.
Obolon have won last 2 head to heads 1-0 and Shaktar won previous head to heads, yes, 1-0. Signals a potential lay of Shaktar and back of 0-0 for a nervy first match of the season?

205 FAIRYHOUSE

BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Eagle Canyon, 11/4 Gonebeyondthemoon, 9/2 Dodging Bullets, 13/2 Sparkling View, 10/1 Hudson, 12/1 Danick Of Time, 12/1 Diamond Daze, 14/1 Golan Guy, 14/1 Red Allie, 33/1 Hi Kort Lady.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: GONEBEYONDTHEMOON looked gonebeyondrecall at Limerick until nabbed close home but this furlong shorter trip looks ideal and she can get the better of Eagle Canyon who bounced back to form under an aggressive ride over this trip at Naas on Wednesday. Dodging Bullets should again run his race and pick up some place money. [Alan Hewison]

Top 2 likely to dominate this maiden race with Gone the new fav.

210 PERTH

BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Glimmer Star, 7/4 Mr Tallyman, 5/1 That´ll Do Nicely, 7/1 Dancing Gizmo, 10/1 Wild Geese, 14/1 Lyrical Intent, 66/1 Forshour, 100/1 Mack Milan, 100/1 Sixties Rock, 100/1 Thistledown Rose.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Mr Tallyman is the pick of those with hurdle form but he's only a modest performer and preference is for hurdle newcomer GLIMMER STAR, who has shown ability in Irish points and bumper company and, although bred for further, should get away with it in this company for a stable with an exceptional record at this track. [Richard Young]

5 under 33/1 should dominate for the places. A maiden hurdle

510 PERTH

BETTING FORECAST: 10/11 Jive Master, 6/4 Incas Article, 6/1 Blazin White Face, 20/1 Lady Of Verona, 66/1 Askalott, 66/1 Ontario Lass, 100/1 Perfect Catch.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: A race that looks between previous winners JIVE MASTER and Incas Article. Preference is for the unbeaten former, who created a really good impression at Newton Abbot and is capable of conceding weight all round. [Richard Young]

4 under 14/1 for 2 places.

250 SOUTHWELL

BETTING FORECAST: 4/5 Chesapeake, 2/1 Call At Midnight, 10/1 Natural Action, 14/1 Laureldean River, 25/1 Wee Ziggy, 33/1 Beautiful Dawn, 33/1 Noble Witness.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: There may be more to come from Natural Action on his chasing debut with the stable having found another gear since he was last seen two months ago but likely this issue will chiefly involve CHESAPEAKE and Call At Midnight.[Frank Carter]

Ideal race this one. 6 runners, 3 under 14/1 - well I thought it was ideal as it was originally an 8 runner race but Betfair is showing only 2 places. -

350 SOUTHWELL

BETTING FORECAST: 4/6 Cygnet, 7/1 Fine Lace, 8/1 Mut´ab, 12/1 Buoy George, 12/1 Traditional Bells, 14/1 Nosler, 16/1 Morning Sunshine, 40/1 Baileys Benchmark, 40/1 Cosmic, 50/1 Lady Killer Queen, 100/1 Youandme.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Stamina is a possible issue but CYGNET is the clear form pick and still hard to oppose. Fine Lace may give him most to do.[Frank Carter]

Price gapper with McCoy onboard, albeit in a selling hurdle

200 STRATFORD

BETTING FORECAST: 4/5 Smart Freddy, 5/2 Hes Our Lad, 17/2 Salford Rose, 16/1 Harrys Whim, 25/1 Red Whisper, 33/1 All But Beat, 66/1 Gwendraeth Girl.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The two penalised runners look the ones to concentrate on and SMART FREDDY (nap) is expected to follow up his Southwell romp last month. Hes Our Lad should chase him home. [Dave Orton]

Front 2 clear in the betting with Smart Freddy now 1/3

SHORTLIST

1230pm - Singapore Armed Forces v Hougang Utd - 1.33 home - I acknowledge tight head to heads but last 2-1 did see SAF 2-0 up and comfortable away from home. Hougang tend to get spanked against top 5 away and if that continues, then 1.33 is a nice price. Good winning run for SAF so far.

3pm - Umea FC v Hammarby TFF - 1.19 home - ignore head to heads in favour of recent form? Well then Hammarby have lost all away matches and not scored in their last 5 away and have conceded 3 or more in their last 4 matches. Umeas wins this term have come about when they score 2 or more so that could open up the correct scores to nil if we hope Hammarby continue without scoring away.

205 FAIRYHOUSE - looks a 2 horse race with Eagle CAnyon and Gonebeyondthemoon tough to split. Faith in both finishing in the places?

510 PERTH - 3 under 14/1 here and default to the fav to finish in the first 2 in a prospective 3 horse race?Jive master an interesting 1.32

350 SOUTHWELL - clearly the biggest price gapper of the day has McCoy onboard and a massive drop in class to selling company could see him place at the very least. 1.19 home

200 STRATFORD - Smart Freddy 1/3 now to win and 1.09 to place. 2 places
