2/6

It's a Euro Qualifier so will be taken seriously and I cannot see any flaws in this Spain match today. There is a tempation to bump the odds up on Carries Magic, but Spain look solid.

*****ONE A DAY - 230 SPAIN u19 v MONTENEGRO u19 - back Spain in the match odds at 1.14*****
As ever, under 1.2 teams should win by 3/4 and over 2.5 goals is 1.35 which boosts the odds a bit.

Tony Donizzo placed with ease at around 1.13 - not quite the 1.2 available earlier.

230pm - Spain U19 v Montenegro U19 - 1.14 home - looks like goals afoot.

HEAD TO HEADS - none

HOME TEAM - SPAIN U19

RECENT HOME FORM - - WLWWLWWWWWWW - no draws in last 12 at home, and comfortable wins. Spain have scored 4,2,3,3,4,3,3 in their last 7 home matches.

RECENT FORM OVERALL - WWLLWWWWDLWW - draw against Portugeuse and loss 1-0 to France.

STREAKS - 18 home games without a draw - 7 wins on the trot at home.

AWAY TEAM - MONTENEGRO

RECENT AWAY FORM - LDDLDLLDLLDL - no win away in 12 plays 7 wins on the trot at home.

RECENT OVERALL FORM - LWDDLWLDDDLL - only 1 win recently against San Marino.

STREAKS - 19 away games without a win.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - this looks fairly straightforward with rock solid home form and consistent goalscoring ( around the 3,4 mark) plays no win in 19 away.1.14 signals goals and if Spain continue their recent home exploits, 3,4 minimum should be within reach.

240 HAMILTON

BETTING FORECAST: 6/4 Dark Lane, 3/1 Carrie´s Magic, 4/1 Prince Of Vasa, 7/1 Sweet Cheeks, 10/1 Country Waltz, 14/1 The Fiery Cross, 33/1 Rosbertini, 50/1 Reach For The Sky, 100/1 Old Firm.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: CARRIE'S MAGIC may gain some reward for her consistency at the main expense of the blinkered Dark Lane.[Paul Johnson]

8 runners, 3 under 14/1 for 3 places.

250 LINGFIELD

BETTING FORECAST: 4/5 Aine´s Delight, 5/2 Galiotto, 7/1 Barbirolli, 12/1 King Kieren, 33/1 Drawback, 33/1Illuminative, 33/1 Lucky Diva, 33/1 Press To Reset, 66/1 Lady Freda.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Galiotto is capable of better than he showed last week and some will be with him under Ryan Moore for the first time back in headgear. AINE'S DELIGHT (nap), who's been tearing it up over hurdles this spring, is clearly the one to beat though.[Graham Wheldon]

4 under 25/1 currently makes this a good potential probability race.

600 SANDOWN

BETTING FORECAST: 4/5 Marcus Augustus, 3/1 Red Mischief, 11/1 Concordia Notte, 11/1 Imelda Mayhem, 12/1 I´m Still The Man, 14/1 Clarkson, 16/1 Faraway, 25/1 High Five Prince, 40/1 Lucifers Shadow.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Probably a very ordinary maiden and a decent-looking opportunity for MARCUS AUGUSTUS to fulfil the distinct promise of last month's Salisbury debut second. Twice-raced Red Mischief promises to be suited by the drop to 5f and can chase the selection home.[Mel Cullinan]

2 under 10/1 and faith in Hannon/Hughes one time outer?

330 SOUTHWELL

BETTING FORECAST: 11/10 Classic Voice, 11/4 Jay Jays Joy, 8/1 Eduardo, 8/1 Valley Tiger, 14/1 Calormen, 16/1Lindo Erro, 16/1 Sing Alana Sing.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Classic Voice is the pick of the weights and ran well on his first two starts for this stable, but he is unproven on the surface and could prove vulnerable. Jay Jays Joy should be in the mix, but EDUARDO ran his best race so far under these conditions and the return to Fibresand could see him gain his first success.[Paul Smith

A seller so some caution advised. 7 runners now and still 3 places and I would favour Jay Jay's joy having had numerous spins on this unique surface.

830 TIPPERARY

BETTING FORECAST: 6/4 Ainama, 5/1 Otay Kawn, 6/1 Derinlaur, 6/1 St Devote, 7/1 Prince Rudi, 10/1 Souvenir Royal, 12/1 Total Victory, 14/1 Seven Days, 20/1 Lapse Of Reason, 25/1 Steady Counsel, 50/1 Market Garden, 66/1 Total Containment, 100/1 Smooth Notion.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: AINAMA was the best of these over hurdles and his chasing debut gave nothing but encouragement for his prospects in this. Market support for Prince Rudi or St Devote would be very interesting.

A 2nd run over chase fences and a clear round should see Ainama place.

825 UTTOXETER

BETTING FORECAST: 10/11 Suburban Bay, 5/1 Ben Cee Pee M, 8/1 Be Ashored, 9/1 Call At Midnight, 12/1Tisfreetdream, 16/1 Apache Chant, 16/1 Balamory Dan, 25/1 City Heights, 33/1 Gulf Punch, 33/1 Platin Grounds.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Several of these are quite interesting for a variety of reasons but it's hard to escape the conclusion that if SUBURBAN BAY turns up in the same form as last week, he will take a great deal of beating.[Jonathan Neesom]

Price gapper " take a great deal of beating"

10/11 - - -- - 7/1 augurs well but remember the time of this race is some 10 hours hence.

SHORTLIST

230pm - Spain U19 v Montenegro U19 - 1.14 home - there looks to be no concerns here and Spain could record another 3/4 goal win.

240 HAMILTON - 3 under 16/1 and it is Carries Magic that I would risk at 1.3 to place

250 LINGFIELD - Aine's Delight is a hurdler on a better rating let in on the flat under a rating of 54 and expected to exploit that today. One of only 4 under 16/1, has an excellent chance of placing. 1.22 to place

330 SOUTHWELL - is only 2 to place and not 3 ( I expected 3 as this was originally an 8 runner race)
