What a shocking day's betting opportunities and the only redeeming bet would seem to be Beaumonts Party who should be "hard to stop under a penalty"

*****ONE A DAY 420 CHEPSTOW - Beaumont's Party to place only***** - 1.19 showing currently - again the market is illiquid and there will be greater liquidity nearer to 420pm than 1020am Alternatively use Betfair SP
We were very unlucky with such a short priced non runner yesterday - hopefully this will not be the case today.

The price on No Heretic was appalling thanks to a non runner with a reduction factor of 31%. So the 1.17 I envisioned was nowhere near.
Elfsborg won 3-2 and goals arrived so perhaps a note to self that the Swedish leagues look readable despite being only 8 games in.

4pm - Croatia U19 v Estonia U19 - 1.29 illiquid - go with the odds here as there is little collateral form.
530pm - SCR Altach v St Polten - 1.36 home
HEAD TO HEADS
01.04.2011 D2 SKN St. Pölten 1-0 SCR Altach
05.11.2010 D2 SKN St. Pölten 0-0 SCR Altach
20.08.2010 D2 SCR Altach 2-1 SKN St. Pölten
24.04.2010 D2 SKN St. Pölten 0-2 SCR Altach
20.11.2009 D2 SKN St. Pölten 1-0 SCR Altach

Only one head to head at home recently for Altach - questionable form for a 1,36 home side from the head to heads

LEAGUE POSITION - 2nd v 3rd but there is a 20 point gap

Not for me today I'm afraid. Austrian 2nd tier is not familiar at all.

TENNIS

1230 - Nadal v Isner - 3-0 Nadal is 1.19 - and considering there is a market on Nadal not dropping a set all through the French Open, then this could be a goer. 7-5 , 6-4 on clay in a head to head and did drop a set in a 3 set hard court match with Isner. I feel there may be a few 7-5 setters here as Isner is simply a lumbering jackass with a big serve and thus relatively hard to break.
No for a 6-0 set is a great bet here but alas the market on Betfair is totally illiquid.

420 CHEPSTOW

BETTING FORECAST: 13/8 Beaumont´s Party, 11/2 Crazy Chris, 13/2 Yes Chef, 7/1 Edgeworth, 8/1 Oriental Girl, 17/2 Hurakan, 10/1 Norman The Great, 16/1 Needwood Ridge, 20/1 If I Were A Boy.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: BEAUMONT'S PARTY (nap) was impressive stepped up to this trip at Chester on Saturday and could take some stopping under a penalty. Edgeworth has run respectably in adverse circumstances the last twice and should be more potent if getting a decent pace here, while Oriental Girl would be interesting back from a break if the market suggests good things are expected. [David Moon]

Price gapper in this 9 runner handicap. Could be the start of a good sequence after a win last time out. 5/6 - - - - 7/1 price gapper in the live market and the market expects another good run - around 1.19 to place

645 HUNTINGDON

BETTING FORECAST: 8/11 Oceana Gold, 2/1 Hi Tide, 5/1 Newlyn Bay, 33/1 The Iron Giant.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Oceana Gold could be a very short price for a horse that hasn't been competitive for well over a year and the solid if unspectacular alternative is HI TIDE.[Alistair Whitehouse-Jones]

should be a 3 horse race for 2 places, but a novices chase.

540 RIPON

BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Tlaad, 6/4 Carrowbeg, 14/1 Izzy The Ozzy, 14/1 Thatcherite, 20/1 Charles De Mille, 25/1Border Abby, 25/1 Little O J, 25/1 Woolamaloo, 33/1 Silver Tiger, 50/1 Margot De Medici, 100/1 Hard Rok.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: A big drop in class for the Group 1 entered Tlaad following his debut in the Dee Stakes and there is very little in strength in depth here, but main rival CARROWBEG is going the right way and the drop back in trip is likely to suit.[Adrian Cook]

Should be dominated by the front 2 and I like Fanning/Johnston fancies ( Carrowbeg) -like yesterday's race the odds can be affected by late withdrawals which is a real pity in these late races.

4 under 16/1 currently with the market slightly favouring Tlaad over Carrowbeg ( 2/1) IzzytheOzzy is a potential market mover into 5/1

The problem with this kind of market is that we have to hope that both Tlaad and Carrowbeg place and make a choice between them.
