5/9

For me today, a straight home win for Sweden u21 ( 0-0 the killer here), England u21 ( with a full team and remember this is only a PR friendly), Spain u21 ( look to goals if the markets get more liquid) and 340 BATH 50/50 race are the ones ..

It would be a choice between a straight match odds bet on Sweden u21 or 340 BAth, place back the market leader , currently One Lucky Lady

*****ONE A DAY - 6pm - Sweden u21 v Lithuania u21 - Back Sweden in the match odds at 1.15***** Looks safe this one, despite a question mark over their 89th minute away win on 1st September. The market expects goals, and Sweden have scored 5 in their last 2 home matches.

Nice win in Norwegian 2nd division

Midday - Thailand (W) v China (W) - 1.08 China - China have scored 9 in 2 head to heads albeit 3+ years ago.
China have drawn their last 4 matches, and 2 of those matches were 0-0 Olympic qualifiers. Surely this is the opportunity to get some goals on the board?
Thailand have recently conceded 3-3-5 in their last 3 qualifying matches. They have won a fair few but obviously the strength of the opposition nowhere near that of China.
As you know by now, sub 1.2 ( and even sub 1.1) should equal 3/4 goals minimum for China.

3pm -
Metalurg Zaporizhya v Nyva Vinnytsia - 1.24 home - Ukrainian 2nd tier so tread carefully. We do not know team news etc.
WWWWWLWW for the home side since the season began.
4-3-2-2-1-4-2 scored by them this season -consistent goal scoring.
4 wins out of 4 at home. 5-1, 3-0, 2-1, 4-1
LLDWLLDD for away side this season. Draws against 8th and 15th lately ( although league positions have less relevance after only 8 matches)
Sole win 1-0 away win against 17th ( of 18)
LWD away from home - win against 17th and draw against 18th (bottom) - dare we assume with so few matches played that there is a pattern here? Away side ok against lower teams but likely to struggle against 2nd in the league?
Home team's goalscoring consistency this season suggests capability for 2 goals or more? Likely to be an illiquid market though.
6pm -
IK Brage v Qviding - 1.57 home - Swedish 2nd division.
30.05.2011 D2 Qviding FIF 1-2 IK Brage
05.11.2009 D2PO Qviding FIF 0-1 IK Brage
01.11.2009 D2PO IK Brage 2-1 Qviding FIF

1 goal matches in recent head to heads, albeit a gap in 2010

14th v 16th and not a match that appeals with the odds on favourites having won only 1 match in their last 12 and with this form at home!
LDDWWWDDDDL
Away side LDLLLLLL overall and away from home LDDLLLWDLLL - win against 5th, draw against 15th.

Only 1 win for Qviding all season and no win in the last 10 for Brage. Likely to be as tight as the head to heads suggest. Yes, both poor form, but Brage have only lost 2 at home.

6pm - Sweden U21 v Lithuania U21 - 1.15 home - if they are as solid at home as the First team, then this should be comfortable.
1-0 89th minute winner for Sweden away on 1st September hardly screams out backing at 1.15!
Lithuania have only won 2 in their last 12 in all competitions, similar figures away.
Sweden are on a 4 match winning streak, scoring 4-2 -3-1
Sweden have only lost 2 in their last 12 at home, 1-2 against Israel and Italy.
They have scored 5 in their last 2 2011 home matches, beating Holland 3-0 last time which is impressive.
Still the away struggle as recently as 1st September wrankles a bit , because 1.15 suggests easy home win by 3/4 goals not an 89th minute away 0-1 win!

7pm -
England U21 v Israel U21 - 1.27 home - this is a friendly so caution advised.Israel have only won 1 of their last 9 and are on a 4 match losing streak and have not scored in those 4 matches. England at home have not had a draw in their last 12. I would look to team news here as this is not a competitive fixture and Psycho might shuffle the pack.
There is no angle in here bar perhaps watching the match if you can.
745pm -
Brazil v Ghana - 1.45 home - team news vital - again how can I get an angle in this friendly? No team news for both camps. Instinctually, the African athleticism should ensure a tight early encounter? I would prefer to watch friendlies to assess team news.
745pm -
Spain U21 v Georgia U21 - 1.07 home - this is a Euro qualifier so expect Spanish guns a blazing. 2-7 away win on 1st September can easily be replicated at home now. 0-6 at halftime and the Georgians look up against it away from home. 1.07 equals a replication of that away performance from Spain, and should help us look towards over 4.5 goals, or even over 5.5 goals for the more speculative.
Spain have only lost 1 match in their last 12 and that was against France 3-2.
WWWWWWDDDDW at home. 3 score draws and a 0-0 in that draw period can hopefully be put to bed with another win this evening.
With the likes of United keeper De Gea in the ranks, confidence should be high for goals and the possibility of a clean sheet.
745pm -
UCD v Shamrock Rovers- 1.5 away - irish cup holds no interest for me at all. The league is hard enough. Perhaps a contrarian view?

US OPEN
6pm -
Djokovic v Dolgopolov - 1.03 home - Dolg an exciting prospect with his flowing lady's hair. But too much surely? Can he hassle Djoko for a set?

240 BATH

BETTING FORECAST: 15/8 Suzy Alexander, 5/2 Atia, 4/1 Sleep Dance, 8/1 Miakora, 10/1 Lough Corrib, 14/1 Lady Excellentia, 25/1 Ivory Trilogy, 33/1 Coalburn, 33/1 Two Bucks More.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: SUZY ALEXANDER is marginally preferred to Atia, though if holding her own in the market newcomer Sleep Dance could easily beat them both.[Alistair Whitehouse-Jones]

3 under 12/1 currently and Suzy has the experience which should help her place in this maiden.

340 BATH

BETTING FORECAST: 3/1 One Lucky Lady, 5/1 Sasheen, 6/1 Peira, 7/1 Undulant Way, 10/1 Lily In Pink, 10/1 Shades Of Grey.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: One Lucky Lady won in a slightly higher grade here last time but EFFERVESCE is that bit more intriguing on her debut for David Pipe, in the hope there's further improvement to come from this impeccably-bred daughter of Galileo.[Alistair Whitehouse-Jones]

Now 6 runners and 3 places and the fav remains. Interesting probability race.

400 NEWTON ABBOTT

BETTING FORECAST: 11/8 King Edmund, 5/2 Fountains Flypast, 4/1 Royale´s Charter, 12/1 De Luain Gorm, 18/1 Combustible Lady, 33/1 Haulit, 40/1 Cailin Maghnailbhe, 40/1 Megagrace, 50/1 Sans Un Souci, 66/1 Koralsdarling, 80/1 All For Eve.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: King Edmund will likely prove popular and should go close, but there's always a slight doubt about chasers returning to hurdles and he's never won back off a break. The penalised Fountains Flypast should also go well, but a chance is taken that the break will have done ROYALE'S CHARTER good and it will be surprising if he doesn't rate higher this term. [Dave Orton]

3 under 12/1 should dominate here. Fountains current favourite.

530 NEWTON ABBOTT

BETTING FORECAST: 13/8 Argaum, 4/1 Tamarillo Grove, 7/1 Munich, 10/1 Maadraa, 12/1 Bull Market, 12/1 Django Reinhardt, 12/1 Lets Get Cracking, 14/1 Salford Rose, 20/1 Knightsbridgelives, 20/1 Rolanta, 33/1 Cinnamon Hill.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: ARGAUM had begun to look a bit exposed but seemed to improve when visored at Hereford last week and, given the manner of that victory, should be able to defy his penalty at the main expense of Tamarillo Grove.

11/10 - - - - 7/1 price gapper currently this Argaum. Solid recent form may be nudging him up the weights.

SHORTLIST
6pm - Sweden U21 v Lithuania U21 - 1.15 home - 0-1 89th minute winner away at Lithuania certainly does not inspire confidence, but at home, surely Sweden are a different proposition and a side who can score - 2 and 3 in last 2 home matches. 1.42 over 2.5 goals could be tradable. 1.15 straight win could be scuppered by a 0-0, however unlikely.

7pm - England U21 v Israel U21 - 1.27 home - Henderson and McEachran return to their clubs. No other news. A strong England side should see a victory - this is a PR exercise as Israel are hosting the 2013 Euros.

745pm - Spain U21 v Georgia U21 - 1.07 home - extremely illiquid markets as I write but over 3.5 goals looks in reach here surely ( if the markets flesh out ( they have 9 hours from time of writing to!)

240 BATH - Suzy Alexander has a reasonable chance of placing here.

340 BATH - I love these races - 6 runners and 3 places still on Betfair augurs well for original market leader surely? 50/50 chance of placing. 2/1favourte and outsider only 9/1 relates a typical tight handicap, but I would play the probabilities.

530 NEWTON ABBOTT - Argaum is a huge price gapper but nearer last than first on the card - ideal to look at market. The market expects this handicapper to prevail again in this hurdle.
