23/4

Hereford Boy won, but I opted safer given the 5/2 betting forecast price - d'oh! Fiveforthree placed. With Pomme tiepy at 6/4 and Air force one at 2/1 ,we could dutch at £1 = 1% eg 6/4 = 40% and 2/1 = 33.33% .Total stake £73.33 - return is the difference between £100 and £73.33

Tencedur placed
Calzaghe wins 2 in one week! A fun coincidence bet with a bit of method behind it ( 4 horse race) so a welcome win!
Le GRande Villez surprisingly unplaced

Under 1.5 goals - absolutely no excuse not to come out with a profit for traders given how late the late goal was. Coorect score half time and full time depended on the odds unavailable at time of writing.

455 CATTERICK
BETTING FORECAST: 6/4 Killer Class, 6/1 Captain Turbot, 7/1 Rightcar Hull, 9/1 Emir Bagatelle, 10/1 Kiowa Princess, 14/1 Myriola, 16/1 Kyzer Chief, 20/1 Moon Spray, Mr Lu, Wicksy Creek, 25/1 Bahamarama, Gelert, Mchepple, Stormy Journey, 33/1 Big Slick .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Emir Bagatelle and Kiowa Princess look the most interesting of the unexposed ones but KILLER CLASS (nap) came home like a train at Nottingham on Saturday and gets the vote despite the difficult draw

Multiple handicap winner with a poor draw.
The 6/4 indicates the horse is expected to come in again, BUT 2 of the 3 wins have come by a head and 3/4 length.
Worth laying if price remains low - difficult draw over 5 furlong will hopefuly do for the horse

KEMPTON
720
BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Sweet Lightning, 6/1 Bassinet, 7/1 Bell Island, 8/1 Everybody Knows, Nikolaievich, 10/1 Power Player, 16/1 Don´t Stop Me Now, Smart Artist, 20/1 Bonzo, 66/1 Hawk Gold .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: SWEET LIGHTNING shaped with stacks of promise on his recent debut and with this extra furlong likely to suit, it will be disappointing if he can't get off the mark at the second attempt.[PSm]

Sweet lightning for the place only given the fact it is a maiden.

255 NOTTINGHAM
BETTING FORECAST: 3/1 Cabinet, 5/1 Eradicate, Heaven Knows, 6/1 Best Prospect, 10/1 Tears Of A Clown, 12/1 Rio Riva, 16/1 Maslak, Suits Me, 25/1 Longspur, Moonlight Man, Mull Of Dubai, Night Crescendo, Northern Jem, Pevensey, 33/1 Ella Woodcock, Peruvian Prince .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Best Prospect has been clobbered with an 8lb rise for his Doncaster win, which will make things tougher, but there's not a lot to choose between Eradicate and Heaven Knows and that pair should both go well. CABINET (nap) remains open to improvement, though, and looks the one to be on.[GW]

Cabinet to place under the excellent Ryan Moore -BUT big field and asence to overcome

330
BETTING FORECAST: 4/7 Curtain Call, 3/1 Drill Sergeant, 5/1 Bold Choice, 50/1 Woolfall Treasure .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: CURTAIN CALL, currently a best-priced 10-1 for the Derby, should have too much class for these now he's back on slower ground.[GW]

I'll go with Spotlight here.

415 PUNCHESTOWN
BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Neptune Collonges, 11/4 Mossbank, 8/1 Kicking King, 10/1 Mister Top Notch, 12/1 Snowy Morning, 16/1 Beef Or Salmon, 20/1 Hi Cloy, New Alco, 50/1 Sher Beau .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: NEPTUNE COLLONGES (nap) has strong prospects of repeating last year's success following his fine third at Cheltenham. Mossbank is the one most likely to trouble him

Hankies out for BEef or Salmon's retirement run - he's priced to have a pipe and slippers ride , waving at the crowd like the pope in his pope mobile, signing autographs etc. and then getting lucrative endorsements for his retirement
Those who want to back Beef each way incase he signs off with a surprise placing at least will get great odds.
Looks like a dutch beterrn Neptunes Collonges and Mossbank here with the quality of the race backing up the accuracy of the odds.

525
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Cousin Vinny, 4/1 Corskeagh Royale, 7/1 Endless Intrigue, 8/1 Apt Approach, Touch Of Irish, 10/1 Front Of House, 12/1 Academy Sir Harry, Lilywhitedancer, 14/1 Have You Seen Me, 16/1 Dayia, Rolling Wave, 20/1 Genuine Pearl, Murphy, Preswell Lad, Total Excitement, 25/1 Quartetto, 33/1 Lasse Viern .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: COUSIN VINNY is hard to fault on his Cheltenham performance, though Noel Meade's fine recent record in this race provides grounds for believing that Corskeagh Royale represents a major threat in the rematch. The Cheltenham race looks the one to focus on, and Apt Approach could also be in the mix.

Corskeagh Royale each way here for Willie MUllins and Nina Carberry

705 WORCESTER
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Prince Taime, 5/2 Quinte Du Chatelet, 9/2 Matuhi, 10/1 Freddy´s Star, Space Mission, 14/1 San Marino, 20/1 Catch The Wing, Saint Eric, 25/1 Wessex King, 50/1 Mattaking, 100/1 Penyfan Man, Pivolant .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Unbeaten hurdlers PRINCE TAIME (nap) and Quinte Du Chatelet might well dominate. Preference goes to the former whose form has more substance and he returns from a break with the yard firing.[BDO]

Matihi each way incase the front 2 stumble?

3 into 1

Another odds on beaten albeit by a neck but does strenghten my argument re finding a way to exploit odds ons poor runnings

none - back when evens or over - possibility of laying odds on shots using fibonacci loss retrieval

FOOTY
Good results yesterday.
A far trickier and less predictable game this evening. Barcelona have not been firing in La Liga but can always change and play to their potential at the drop of a hat. Henry is out and to be honest is not going to be missed with Etoo up there and probable return of Messi.

7/4 BArca 7/4 United tells it all at Ladbrokes. Can't be split - the prices indicate a tight affair (again) but this is an infamouy dodgy BArca defence and a Rooney and Ronaldo on their day can really cause problems

No bet for me alas tonight - the unpredictability of Barca could come back to bite me on the arse!
They could beat Man Utd but could also capitulate with said defence!

BETTING FORECAST: 6/4 Pomme Tiepy, 7/2 Air Force One, Finger Onthe Pulse, 5/1 Sky´s The Limit, 7/1 Notre Pere, 10/1 Ballycullen Boy, 200/1 Narrackses .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Willie Mullins has exploited the weight concessions with his imports from France throughout the season, and POMME TIEPY can add to her tally here by accounting for Air Force One, who looks a big danger on his Reynoldstown run.

2 strong market leaders and if prices are available , I will dutch both with preference for the Mulllins horse pomme Tiepy

350 SOUTHWELL
BETTING FORECAST: 11/4 Kensington, 7/2 Dudley Docker, Hits Only Jude, 4/1 Tencendur, 10/1 Byron Bay, 12/1 Thunderousapplause, 14/1 Mr Wolf ,

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Back under quicker conditions on a track that will suit, TENCENDUR can add to this month's Catterick success. Dudley Docker is potentially well treated back on turf but has done all his winning in double-figure fields and a bigger threat may be the penalised Kensington.[AC]

A 4 horse race - Tencendur each way for me

500
BETTING FORECAST: Evs Pertemps Networks, 5/1 Top Spec, 7/1 Just Intersky, 8/1 Black Falcon, Calzaghe, 10/1 Marquee, 20/1 Sularno, 25/1 Old Romney .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: PERTEMPS NETWORKS translated his recent hurdle progress back on to the Flat when winning in good style at Newcastle last time. Faster ground is a definite concern here, but he could still be well handicapped and is hard to oppose. The main dangers are Just Intersky and Calzaghe.[DM]

Coincidence bet with CAlzaghe? Pertemps Network has some ifs and buts and in an apprentice ridden race may be worth taking on. Interestingly, from the same stable, Old Romney is a big price - stable plot? Hmmm don't know. I'll stick with Calzaghe each way

TOWCESTER
BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Possol, 11/4 Tramantano, 7/2 La Grande Villez, 6/1 Muhtenbar, 40/1 Swift Sailor, 50/1 Keltic Moon, 100/1 Clockers Corner, Somewin, 200/1 Bluecoat, Superfling .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: A classy race for the course and assuming that POSSOL's run of narrow defeats is more the result of bad luck than any lack of desire on his part, he is given the vote. Tramantano looks the most obvious threat.[JN]

La Grande Villez is a course and distance winner on this most difficult of finishes and with the same jockey who won on him may be backable each way as it's a 4 horse race judging by the betting forecast

700
BETTING FORECAST: 11/8 Kerriemuir Lass, 100/30 Dancing Dasi, 7/2 Summer Of Love, Tambourine Ridge, 20/1 Ishismart, 33/1 Smarties Party, 50/1 Quamerone, Radar Love, 66/1 Fair Coppelia, Julatten, Maud´s Cat, 100/1 Cove Mountain, Ellerslie Lisa, Mystik Megan, 200/1 Darnay´s Breeze, Notoverdear .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Dancing Dasi and Tambourine Ridge are very well served by a stiffer test of stamina and are expected to find C&D winner KERRIEMUIR LASS (nap) too lively at this trip. Summer Of Love could prove most dangerous if blinkers have the desired effect

Another course and distance winner in Kerriemuir Lass in a 4 horse race(although the field is big) I'll chance Kerrie here (preference for the place only) in the win market to monitor in running

FOOTY

Lay of Angers came off with a 0-0 - these French boys seem to be bottling it at the end of the season so laying opponents to cover the draw seems to ensure a return

The big one this evening and with plenty at stake what chance under 2.5 goals (again!) Surely looks the obvious bet . Neutral as well probably safer.

BEtfair is unavailable at time of writing - I wanted to look at the half time scores market and perhaps 0-0, 0-1, 1-0 dutch if prices allow.

How tight will this game be? Liverpool at home in the Champions LEague seem extremely effective -will we get anything from backing under 1.5 goals , again with an eye on trading.

Other markets which interest me include correct score - again I will look a bit later on at the 0-0, 1-0, 0-1 ,2-0, 1-1 and see if prices allow for a correct score dutch
