11/4

Three moons won last time out - and some more big market movers. Now I am out today and this is being written before 10am so is not ideal because I can't see market movers or any non runners etc

140 NA
BETTING FORECAST: 8/13 Minnie Hill, 5/1 Zi Missile, 6/1 Slick Mover, 10/1 Blandys Wood, 12/1 Petit Fleur, 20/1 Happy Fleet, 25/1 Lady Friend, 50/1 Blues Baby Daisey, Prudent Phoebe, 100/1 Commanche Smiles, Honeycombe.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: In what promises to be an uncompetitive heat, MINNIE HILL (nap) has plenty in her favour and can get off the mark, possibly at the main expense of Zi Missile and Slick Mover.[DH]

No early price markets today which is a disadvantage. Minnie Hill is a price gapper

220 CARLISLE
BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Sa Suffit, 7/4 Fit To Drive, 7/1 General Ledger, 10/1 Mr Gerrard, 14/1 Soubriquet, 25/1 Lady Chatelaine, 33/1 Panthers Run, 66/1 Paperchaser, Wensleydale Web.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: This looks between SA SUFFIT and Fit To Drive and, with the latter's yard quiet at present, preference is for the top weight, who conversely hails from an in-form yard and has no problems with conditions.

Mr Gerrard a non runner should make things easier for the front 2, the fav at odds on

355 CARL
BETTING FORECAST: 4/7 Isn´t That Lucky, 4/1 Logans Run, 5/1 Cornerback, 14/1 Classic Harry, 33/1 Lusento, 66/1 Almond Court, Spivitus.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: This should be a straightforward task for progressive chaser ISN'T THAT LUCKY, who ran a blinder when chasing home Chapoturgeon in the Jewson at last month's Cheltenham Festival.[RY]

The fav battered into 1/3 which is a positive

545 HAYDOCK

BETTING FORECAST: 15/8 Peveril, 7/2 Ridgeway Boy, 8/1 Cool Mission, 10/1 Ballymacduff, 11/1 Reland, 12/1 Anglesey, Danny Cool, 14/1 Good For Blue, Quizwork, 16/1 Avanos, Shannina, Solway Sam, 20/1 La Pirogue, Stand Clear, 40/1 No Brakes, 100/1 Payyousoon.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Leading owner Trevor Hemmings likes to have winners here and he may hold the key to this as, on paper, RIDGEWAY BOY and Peveril - who hail from different stables - have the most appealing credentials. With a doubt about the faster ground for once-raced Peveril, token preference is for Ridgeway Boy to make a winning debut

I have heard of Peveril before and he's now 6/4 with 2nd fav at now 7/1 , so an element of confidence - Barry Geraghty the jockey

SHORTLIST

Really not ideal at all as its before 11am and the markets have not started to sort themeselves out

355 CARLISLE - at this early stage isnt that Lucky at 1/3 looks a strong place chance despite the 2 places only 1.14 place only
Barcelona are at home and if ,AND ONLY IF, Messi, Henry and Etoo are all playing, are a stonking bet too ,to trade after they score the first.

At this stage, the above bet looks reasonable enough BUT there will probably be better opportunities which arise between now and 140 first race. There will be some non runners no doubt, late withdrawals which really make selecting a place only opportunity a lot easier.

So it is with this in mind that you must put the above selection (with limited information) into context.2 at 66/1 and 1 at 40/1 should reduce the field. As long as the jumping holds up, then , with only 3 horses under 25/1 this one looks a good place only bet

Alternatives - check out the short price football matches at www.ladbrokes.com and do your research on www.soccerstats.com or www.betdevil.com
