6/10

1230pm - Hougang v Tanjong Pagar - 1.35 home
HEAD TO HEADS
25.04.2011 D1 Tanjong Pagar Utd 0-5 Hougang United
11.10.2003 D1 Sengkang Marine 3-1 Tanjong Pagar Utd
Only 1 head to head of interest is emphatically with the favourite.
LEAGUE POSITION - 6th v 11th

HOME TEAM - HOUGANG

RECENT HOME FORM - WLWDLWWLWLWDW - lack of consistency shown by no real sequences here.losses recently against 2nd, 5th, 8th and 12th.2-3 v Woodlands. Draws against 9th and 10th were score draws. So is this a match where Hougang are clear favs based on head to heads or do we acknowledge that they have lost to 8th, drawn 9th and 10th and lost to 12th at home, and they are playing 11th today!!

RECENT FORM OVERALL - WWLWLLLWLDWW - only 2 draws in last 32 matches overall in the league. 1st, 4th, 9th 12th the teams who have beaten Hougang lately.

GOAL TRENDS - 5 of last 8 under 2.5 goals at home. 4 of last 6 over 2.5 goals.

STREAKS - won last 2, but only 3 wins in last 8.Only 2 losses in last 8 at home.

AWAY TEAM - TANJONG

RECENT AWAY FORM - LLLLLLWLWLLLLL - no draw away this season.Wins against 9th and 12th both 0-1.

RECENT OVERALL FORM - LLLDLLLLLW - 3-1 home win against 9th latest somewhat out of the blue.

GOAL TRENDS - have failed to score in 4 of last 5 away matches.HAve conceded 3-0-2-1-4-1-6 recently away which shows inconsistency and unreadability. What will it be today? A tight 2 goal loss or a spanking?UUUUUUOUOOO - 4 overs in last 5 ended a recent run of unders.

STREAKS - no draw in 19 away

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - my problem here is with Tanjong. They are inconsistent in their goals concession recently and inconsistent sides are difficult to read. Hougang too, and it may be coincidence, have not beaten 8th 9th 10th or 12th and are playing 11th today.
The standout is the no draw in 19 for Tanjong away .
Not a match with any strong streaks continuing a poor week's selections in the International Break.
Tanjong have failed to score in 4 of their last 5 away matches and suddenly 4 of the last 5 have been over 2.5 goals. Makes Hougang strong favourites to score first.
As with a number of matches in this international break, these matches seem better approached from a reactive trading perpective. Wait for something to happen or reassess at half time?

4pm -
Greece U21 v San Marino U21 - 1.02 home - roll out the goals bets.
Only 2 draws in 18 home matches for Greece u21. Have scored in 10 of last 11. We need to look at goals patterns as Greece is renowned for defensive football. 4 of last 7 home matches under 2.5 goals inconclusive.
Only 1 draw in last 13 overall for Greece. 3 losses in last 4 for Greece but unlikely to have met as weak an opponent as today.
San Marino have not scored in last 18 matches and have conceded 2-3-6-5-5-1-8-6-8-6-11-3-5-4-6-3-7 .
San Marino have scored only 1 in last 15 aways, and are on a run of 11 without scoring.
6-5-6-8-5-4-6-7 conceded away in last 8. Now interestingly Cyprus won 6-0 and I would equate the mentality of Greece with Cyprus. Over 5.5 goals for speculators?

4pm -
Liechtenstein U21 v Italy U21 - 1.05 away - Liechtenstein have not scored in their last 5 home matches and are playing an Italian side who knows how to shut a team out. At home, Liechtenstein have conceded 4-3-4-3-4 -4-5-4-3-3 -highly consistent 3 or 4 goals mostly.
Liechtenstein have failed to score in 9 of their last 11 matches.
4-3-5-4-3-2-4-5-4-3-3-3-3-6-3 conceded recently.
No draw in last 9 for Italy. A recent 4-0 win against Luxembourg should be replicated today. Italy have kept a clean sheet in 6 of their last 7 matches
620pm -
Sweden U21 v Slovenia U21 - 1.46 home - only 1 draw in last 15 overall for Sweden. Sweden have scored in 13 of their last 14 home matches. Only 1 draw in last 10 for Slovenia away. 4 of last 5 away matches for Slovenia have featured 1-0 or lower scorelines. They could be difficult opponents today for Sweden. Slovenia have only lost 1 of their last 6 matches. Not a match in which I would confidently back Sweden initially.
7pm -
Germany U21 v Bosnia U21 - 1.16 home - sub 1.2 - you know the drill. 4-6-1-2-3-4-7 scored by Germany in their most recent 7 home matches. The problem I have is gauging this Bosnian team against Germany's recent opponents. Germany's recent losses overall have come against Czech Republic and Iceland.
Bosnia's recent wins have come against Malta, wales, Luxembourg and San Marino. This perhaps reveals their level .
Bosnia have not conceded more than 2 goals since November 2007 but then again they may not arguably have met a team as good as Germany in the intervening period.
Bosnia are unbeaten in their last 5 matches.
1-1 v Italy
0-1 win v Luxembourg
0-0 v Hungary
0-3 win v san Marino
1-1 v Belarus.
How much confidence will they gauge from this unbeaten run against largely questionable opposition.
730pm -
Croatia U21 v Spain U21 - 1.43 away
12.10.2010 U21Q Croatia U21 0-3 Spain U21
09.10.2010 U21Q Spain U21 2-1 Croatia U21
Spain dominant in head to heads.
Croatia have only won 1 of their last 6 matches , a 4-1 home win v Norway.
Croatia have not scored in their last 3 matches.
Only 2 draws in Croatia's last 18 home matches. 2 1-1 draws v Italy and Slovakia.
Croatia have lost their last 2 home matches and did not score.
15 wins in the last 18 for Spain overall.2-1 loss to Netherlands and 2 1-1 draws v England and Finland.
Spain have scored 2-3-1-2-3-3-2-7-2 in their recent matches.
Spain have won their last 6 matches without conceding.
745pm - Iceland U21 v England U21 - 1.67 away - in march this year, Iceland beat England away 1-2. - Only 1 draw in Iceland's last 15 matches overall.Recent losses to Norway, Switzerland, Belarus and Czechs.
6 match winning streak at home ended with a 0-2loss to Norway.
Norway have conceded in all of their last 6 home matches.
England have only won 1 of their last 5 matches, and that was against Azerbaijan. 3 draws against Romania, Ukraine and Spain were away.
England are unbeaten in their last 7 away matches, includes 5 draws, 3 0-0's and 2 1-1.s
The wins were against madedonia and Portugal 1-2 and 0-1.
England have found if difficult to score more than 2 recently away from home and this could hint at the 1.67 being a tad short against an Icelandic side a lot better at this level than you would think.
9pm -
Portugal U21 v Poland U21 - 1.37 home - no recent relevant head to heads. 4 wins in last 5 for Portugal, the loss 1-0 to England.
Only 1 loss in the last 7 at home for Portugal, again was against England 1-0.
4-1-2-2-4-2-0-3 scored by Portugal at home recently.
Poland have not had a draw in their last 22 matches.
Poland have lost 5 of their last 6 matches.
Away from home, Poland have not had a draw in 11 matches. In fact they have lost 8 of them. Wins against Georgia, Leichtenstein and Albania should not trouble Portugal at home.
