HEAD TO HEADS

08.06.2010 D1 Home United 2-0 Woodlands Wellington
22.03.2010 D1 Woodlands Wellington 2-2 Home United
10 goals scored in last 2 meetings is exactly what you expect from 1.08 shots. Remember the rule of thumb is usually a win to nil scoring 3/4 minimum. Woodlands seem adept at getting at least a consolation.
LEAGUE POSITION - top v bottom - 65 points v 11 points.

12 wins and 2 losses at home. Not a draw in sight.

RECENT FORM OVERALL - no draw in 21 overall. 11 wins and 2 draws in the last 13 matches.

GOAL TRENDS - 15 of last 18 matches over 2.5 goals , the exceptions 2-0 matches. Have kept a clean sheet in 3 of the last 4 matches.

STREAKS - no draw in 21 overall , 11 wins and 2 draws in last 13 at home.

AWAY TEAM - Woodlands.

RECENT AWAY FORM - LDLLLLWLLLWLLL - wins courtesy of Woodlands scoring 85th and 90th minute goals so v lucky indeed.

RECENT OVERALL FORM - LLLLLLLWWLLLLLLL - says it all really.

GOAL TRENDS - 9 of last 11 matches over 2.5 goals. No draw in 21 overall.

STREAKS - as above.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - form points rather straightforwardly to a home win and the possibility of a replication of the 2 previous 5-1 wins in head to heads. the probability of Home United winning 5-1 for the 3rd consecutive match is low I would suggest. Over 4.5 goals should have a good chance of coming in, and speculators can look further ahead to over 6.5 or higher.

6pm -
FC Copenhagen v FC Nordsj - 1.47 home
HEAD TO HEADS
30.07.2011 D1 FC København 2-0 FC Nordsjælland
17.04.2011 D1 FC Nordsjælland 1-3 FC København
21.11.2010 D1 FC København 2-1 FC Nordsjælland
14.08.2010 D1 FC København 2-0 FC Nordsjælland
05.04.2010 D1 FC Nordsjælland 0-3 FC København
24.03.2010 D1 FC København 0-2 FC Nordsjælland
Copenhagen have won the last 5 and scored either 2 or 3 goals.
LEAGUE POSITION - 1st v 4th after 12 matches.

HOME TEAM Copenhagen

RECENT HOME FORM- DWWWWD - only failed to score 2 or more goals in the last match a 1-1 draw

RECENT FORM OVERALL - WDWWWWWWWWDL - slipping a bit with the last 2 results? Loss to 3rd and draw with 5th.

GOAL TRENDS - 33% overs at home, largely because of the 2-0 scorelines !! Only 4 over 2.5 goals matches this season. Have only failed to score in one match, the last match, this season, and they lost,

STREAKS - 6 at home without defeat. Have scored in the last 6 matches.

AWAY TEAM - Nordj - 4th so must have had a good start to the season.

RECENT AWAY FORM - LLLWL - no draw away and only 1 win. have conceded 2-2-2-1-1 away ( and remember Copenhagen like scoring 2 at home!)

RECENT OVERALL FORM - LDLWWLWWWLWW - only a single draw this season. The last 3 matches have been 1-0's , 2 1-0 wins and a 1-0 loss. A sign they are more defensive minded.

GOAL TRENDS - have naturally kept a clean sheet in last 2 matches and in 3 of last 4. last 4 matches under 2.5 goals.

STREAKS - 10 overall without a draw. A pity they are not playing at home as they have not conceded in 5.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - laying the draw looks a logical first step here. We must acknowledge the away side have had a good start to the season. Anything to read into 3 clean sheets in the last 4 matches? A hint Copenhagen could resume scoring 2 against at home, given Nordj have conceded 2 goals at least in 3 of 5 away matches. Also factor this in. DL is most unusual for Copenhagen and it is inconceivable surely that they will go a further match without a win?

745pm -
Brighton v West Ham - 2.5 away - I remind you that these odds are the bookies saying this is too close to call, so remember that. I have committed for following the Hamsters this season though.
HEAD TO HEADS - no recent relevant head to heads.

LEAGUE POSITION - 12th v 4th. For some reason I thought Brighton were higher. Perhaps the competitive nature of this league is catching them out.

HOME TEAM - Brighton

RECENT HOME FORM - WDWDLD - drawing alternately seems to be the problem here at home.Have only played one of the top 4 at home, losing 1-3. Draws against 5th, 7th and 11th and wins against 10th and 23rd.

RECENT FORM OVERALL - WWWDWWLDLLDD - what a contrasting season so far! Losses against 3rd 9th and 13th. Recent draws against 5th, 7th and 20th.

GOAL TRENDS - 67% overs at home. Have only failed to score in 2 matches this season.

STREAKS - 2 match drawing streak. No win in 6 matches. Have conceded in 5 of last 6 matches.Have conceded 3 goals at home against 3rd and 5th.

AWAY TEAM - West 'Am

RECENT AWAY FORM - WWWDDL - wins against current 19th 20th and 23rd

RECENT OVERALL FORM - LWWDWWDWLDWL - mixed bag latest. All losses have been 1-0 and against 1st , 8th and 9th.. An inference this early that Hammers unlikely to lose outside of the top 10 home or away.

GOAL TRENDS - 2 of last 3 matches over 2.5 goals. 50/50 overs/unders away from home. 2 of last 6 matches under overs.

STREAKS - 3 away without a win.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - West Ham's away form might flatter. Wins against bottom 6 sides. But, their only defeats overall have been 1-0's and all against current top 9 sides, of which Brighton are not. Draws against 5th and 7th ( Hammers 4th) suggests a draw most welcome and achievable with 2 hammers draws away in last 3 and no win away in last 3. Away from top 10 though, Hammers tend to draw or win which would suggest laying Brighton at current odds ( nice and low) But I will remind you that 2.5 odds means the bookies have not got a scooby doo!

815pm -
Sp Lisbon v Gil Vicente - 1.32 home
HEAD TO HEADS - no recent head to heads so Gil must be newcomers to the top flight.

LEAGUE POSITION - 5th v 9th after 7 matches. a win takes Sporting 3rd dependent on goals.

HOME TEAM - Sp Lisbon

RECENT HOME FORM - DLW - worrying form so far against lesser lights. Loss 2-3 v current 3rd Maritimo.

RECENT FORM OVERALL - DDLWWWW - return to form with away wins. 2-3-3-3-1 scored in last 5 matches. There have been 3 3-2 results ( hinting at a poor defense? )

GOAL TRENDS - 4 of last 5 matches over 2.5 goals. Have kept a clean sheet in last 2 matches. Have failed to score in only 1 this season.

STREAKS - no draw in 5, have scored in last 5, have not conceded in last 2.

AWAY TEAM - Gil Vicente

RECENT AWAY FORM - LLW - losses both 3-1 against Porto and Sporting Braga. are Lisbon to be bracketed with these teams? They are certainly priced to replicate something approaching these score lines.

RECENT OVERALL FORM - DLWLDWD - inconsistent form overall and unable to string together a meaningful sequence. 3 of the draws have come at home.

GOAL TRENDS - all away matches over 2.5 goals. Have scored and conceded in all away matches.

STREAKS - no strong trends at all.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - the market expects a replication of the 3-1 defeats Gil have suffered against Porto and Braga. Sporting have regained the winning thread now and have shown they can score 3 ( although in a Keeganesque 3-2 kind of way) Sporting should continue winning, and over 2.5 goals has a realistic chance with both sides congruency recently pointing to overs.
