22/5

Well under 2.5 goals came in, but I only profitted to 10% of what I should have won. At 1.31 I laid off 1/4 of my stake after the price reduced from 1.52. I was about to take another 1.4 out when Ronaldo scored. The price went to over evens and after it went down to 1.85, I took out another quarter of my stake leaving me with a small gain on unders and 1/4 stake loss on overs.

The 2nd half was in fact how I envisioned the full game - tight and goalless, but scuppered a lot of bets
How galling - I had 5 minutes to wait for the 31st minute and the first goal odds dutch to be profitable!

Well, as night follows day Paul Scholes gets bookes so a bit salvaged there. A half time goal blew my half time dutch - a night of what might have been! Draw/Draw came in for the half time/full time dutch

Nice to get Mr Jack DAniells beaten at 1.67. Contact dancer won by an, erm, distance.
How did the Irish get on?
April a head 2nd at 7/1 - another each way success but these close shaves are frustrating
Great wall was disappointing. Kalinka MAlinka a head and short head 4th, another frustrating close shave for the each way payment
Mystical lady won, and I missed Lunduv for Weld/Smullen - came 2nd - the other Weld representative unplaced.
BEachbound 2nd for Weld/Smullen
Add wings disappointed
All in all another case of heads beating nice payouts
Each way betting guaranteed some returns

730 CLONMEL - Spanish Cross today for Weld/Smullen - not really an each way price though

235 WETHERBY
BETTING FORECAST: 11/10 Wotchalike, 5/1 Isaac Newton, 6/1 Whistle Blowing, 13/2 Kalatime, 9/1 Scuzme, 16/1 Tirol Livit, 20/1 Francescas Boy, 25/1 Gatecrasher .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: WOTCHALIKE had a hard race just five days ago but will be hard to beat if reproducing that display. The lightly-weighted pair Kalatime and Isaac Newton can fight out the minor honours.

Typical of the kind of HTB and price gapper bets I see at present - looks all in a qualifier but has to concede plenty of weight all round and had a "hard race" just 5 days ago.

FOOTY

AN interesting football week continues with Celtic and Rangers wrapping up the SPL. Now will Rangers do a "Chelsea" and simpl give up if Celtic are winning
convincingly against Dundee United?
THe double pays about evens .

Over 2.5 goals for the Rangers game looks reasonable given the unique circumstances of the match and a return to an attacking style against Motherwell which really should have yielding 6 or 7 goals.
Celtic drew against Dundee United at Park head, but beat them 2-0 at theirs. I expect Celtic to replicate in a MUST WIN. They just MUST win - no doubts at all. HAlf time/full time Celtic/Celtic enhances the 1/3 but I am aware there may be a draw half time, but am willing to take the chance.

The Irish boys are out again.
630 - Egypt and April - albeit in a small field maiden. Live market really a necessity here and if possible, dutching these 2 to level stakes. If both are too short, I'd leave alone

700
BETTING FORECAST: 11/4 Prince Shaun, 3/1 The Loan Express, 4/1 Greatwallofchina, 5/1 Bett´s Spirit, Fourpenny Lane, 6/1 Dohasa, 66/1 Honkey Tonk Tony

Great wall of China and Fourpennylane look backable each way ( I hope that's the case)

730 - Dermot Weld has Kalinka MAlinka again looks an each way price at present

800 - Miss Chapparal and Mystical Lady each way

830 - BEachbound each way

900- Add wings each way
