19/5

Again the football was the real highlight of the day - aconfident over 3.5 goals trade and Real 3-0 up at halftime pretty much seasled it.

Supreme team 2nd, Cnoc Moy 2nd, At Gowran, if you checked, it was Set Sail for O'Brien NOT Love Trial - an error on my part - said Set sail duly obliged. No luck for the Irish combos until Turklord placed in the 315, and Whispering Wind placed at 7/2.
I'll not ignore this despite the lean period. LAst time I did that Septimus for Aiden O'Brien bolted in at 12/1. I am confident a winning sequence with the Irish Combos is going to arrive soon.

210 MUSSELBURGH
BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Marning Star, 9/4 Randama Bay, 3/1 Sir John Lilley, 14/1 Ayrpassionata, 20/1 Mandalay King, 25/1 Wilmington, 50/1 Warm Tribute, 100/1 Oriental Gift.

8 runner field - place only Ramdana Bay - crap odds but should return

240
BETTING FORECAST: 3/1 Aleatricis, 5/1 Talon, Wogan´s Sister, 11/2 Addwaitya, 8/1 Flashy Max, Jevington Star, 10/1 Bourse, 12/1 Miss Understanding, 16/1 Dawn Wind, Scarlet Royal .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: From a good family that his shrewd handler knows very well, ALEATRICIS has to be top of the list despite this trip looking a minimum this year on breeding. Sir Mark Prescott has a strike rate of around 40% here in recent seasons and market confidence would be highly significant. Addwaitya appeals best of the remainder.

Early move for Addwaitya ,now joint favourite - worth following? Preference again for place
220 NEWTON ABBOTT

BETTING FORECAST: 1/2 Ofarel D´Airy, 7/2 Martin Pitchwood, 11/2 Cornish Flame, 16/1 Gouranga, 25/1 Devil´s Creek, 33/1 Marlowe, 50/1 Glanworth, 66/1 Ice Cream .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: OFAREL D’AIRY was beaten at odds-on in a novice hurdle last time but came up against a decent type who may have been revitalised by a switch of yard. He sets a clear standard here and should be very hard to beat. The main dangers are Cornish Flame and Martin Pitchwood

Heavy ground and the straight 8 and a short priced fav - each way thievery? - obvious contenders are Martin Pritchwood and Cornish Flame with preference for Martin each way at bigger prices

ROSCOMMON - payback time for Weld/Smullen and O'Brien?

530 - Annaween each way
630 - Daasij - win only

WOLVES
820
BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Kafuu, 5/1 Arthur´s Edge, 6/1 Axiom, 8/1 King´s Ransom, 10/1 Justcallmehandsome, Kildare Sun, 12/1 Harare, Mountain Cat, 14/1 Supercast, 16/1 Fly Free, 25/1 Dushstorm, 33/1 Lend A Grand .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Some in-form performers up against a couple of potential improvers in KAFUU and Axiom. Simon Callaghan will be keen to do well with his first runner for Derby-winning connections and the evidence of his first two runs suggests that a mark of 80 is well within his compass.

My last coincidence bet on Calzaghe after he won, came in. What chance Kafuu -4/1 each way price currently

FOOTY

Again probably the main focus of my betting today will be on football, AND THIS WEEK to be honest - all roads to Moscow and some great opportnities on Wednesday followed by the Monaco grand prix where I suppose pole position sitter is the one to back to win.

Rangers MUST WIN this evening and I will go half time/full time to enhance the odds of 1/3 in the match odds market.

RAngers to win to nil also appeals, perhaps 1-0 , 2-0 , 3- 0correct score dutch?

Greece face Cyprus tonight in a local derby 1/5 about GReece is layable I think, although as a trade and not with a huge amount of confidence.

Why waste time on the maidens and difficult handicaps and just wait for the Champions league final!
