16/5

At Limerick, Great Wall won and Award Ceremony placed each way at 10/1, DIstant Piper unplaced. I missed the Aiden o'Brien horses at York - Frozen Fire was a head 2nd at 14/1! - in a 7 runner race - Four general Star unplaced at 3/1.

At Salisbury, Naughty Thoughts won and the mug punter acca went south.

10 minutes for the first goal allowed a window of opportunity for trading

645 CORK
Mystical Lady is a O'Brien entry at a decent price each way

720 - Woodland Beauty for Dermot Weld

710 DUNDALK - Rock Critic
840 - Maximo
910 - Patriot Jack under Smullen is the outsider

940 - Reformist the outsider for WEld/Smullen

725 HAMILTON
BETTING FORECAST: 2/1 Love Galore, 5/2 Captain Webb, 4/1 Bold Choice, Meeriss, 8/1 Ellmau, 33/1 Doon Haymer, 200/1 Northwest, Premier Class .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: A couple of confirmed front-runners in here in Meeriss and Bold Choice, while the two Johnston runners have also had plenty of use made of them, so it shouldn't become tactical. LOVE GALORE made a good impression here last backend and is the call.[GW]

8 runner race - each way opportunity? - Ellmau is speculative

220 NEWBURY
BETTING FORECAST: 11/10 Fat Boy, 13/8 Tajdeef, 11/2 Skadrak, 10/1 Spirit Of Sharjah, 33/1 Irish Pearl .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: FAT BOY (nap) and Tajdeef stand out, with preference for the first-named, whose very good second on his reappearance in the Free Handicap sets a useful standard on this season's form. Tajdeef would be a major threat on last autumn's close third in the Middle Park but he was some way off that level on his comeback at Ascot, albeit on ground slower than ideal.

Another 2 horse affair - I'll plump with Fat Boy

240 York - Honolulu - Aiden O'Brien but preference is for the each way contenders

The majority of the cards today will be better served with a look at the live betting market - a lot of maidens today
