4/12

Nine stories placed easily for my one a day - no need for me to use Amble Forge who did not place

120 WINCANTON
BETTING FORECAST: 2/5 Pepite De Soleil, 4/1 Arrayan, 8/1 Secret Dancer, 14/1 Anay Turge, 16/1 Dr Kildare, 50/1 Poppy Red, Soviet Cat, 66/1 Slayer, 100/1 Keepholdin.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: PEPITE DE SOLEIL has a big reputation and connections will be disappointed if she cannot take this. Secret Dancer might be the one to chase her home.

Clear market principle - Secret dancer a market mover (as of 10am -not my usual time for checking makret movers) 1.39 - further strengthened by Arrayan's absence 1.1 to place

150 WINCANTON
BETTING FORECAST: 10/11 Lightning Strike, 11/8 Tarotino, 7/1 Scaramouche, 50/1 Keyneema.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: An eight month absence and a lack of winners from Venetia Williams' yard recently raise doubts, but LIGHTNING STRIKE was comfortably the best of these over hurdles and is taken to make a successful start to his chase career

Agaqin 3 vying for 2 places , we always take a chance with these races especially over the jumps as any of the 3 we are interested in could fall. An ideal in rnning bet for me _Tarotino come in for money 1.24 to place in what looks now like a strong 2 horse race

210 LEIC
BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Pacco, 4/1 High Jack, 9/2 Ours, 5/1 Desert Secrets, 9/1 Phar Again, 12/1 Yaboya, 20/1 Flashy Sir, Morenito, 25/1 King De Lune, Master Papa, 33/1 Rookery Lad.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Some talented horses who have lost their way are taken on by some up-and-coming handicappers, best of whom could well be PACCO (nap). He looked a likeable type when winning a lesser Chepstow event last time and gets the vote off the same mark, despite the better company. Desert Secrets may be best of the others

Now 5/4 with High Jack at 7/2 2.6 / 1.27 in a 3 the place race with now only 6 runners

240 LEIC
BETTING FORECAST: 13/8 Latanier, 11/4 Night Cru, 7/2 Bugsy´s Boy, 4/1 Grandage, 14/1 Optimus, 33/1 Grand Article, Port Erne, 50/1 Shield Of Zeus, 66/1 Lady Lorins, Prince Des Marais, 100/1 Reasontobecheerful, Robin Des Bank.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Bugsy's Boy, Latanier and Night Cru are all dangerous but it has been a good week for Oliver Sherwood and GRANDAGE is an interesting proposition with his Warwick run under the belt, especially with that form being handed a big boost when the third dotted up at Fakenham on Monday

With Optimus out, this is a great probability race which should revolve around 4 horses for 3 places 1.27 place Latanier

820 GREAT LEIGHS
BETTING FORECAST: 2/1 Timeless Dream, 5/1 Miss Hollybell, Yellow River, 11/2 Little Calla, 6/1 Granny McPhee, 10/1 One Cool Mission, 16/1 Chantilly Pearl, Lady Vivien, 25/1 Downstream, 40/1 Field Fantasy, Twenty Score.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Four of these have shown significant ability and there are some speedy pedigrees on offer among them, and elsewhere. With no recent evidence to go on from Miss Hollybell, the vote goes to TIMELESS DREAM.
2.16 / 1.12

With the absence of Arryan ,Pepite de Soleil should only be required to put a clean round in to profit. 1.1 the place in the circumstances is good - 1.38 for the win is better but the horse HAS to win
