4/3

Place bet successful yesterday and another short priced market mover won in More Time Tim's race. Another multiple handicap winner comes LAST! The cause? May have been the apprentice jockey against seasoned pros

230 FONTWELL
BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Ermine Sea, 3/1 Nordwind, 7/2 Fassaroe, 11/2 Nothing´s Easy, 12/1 Astrodome, 33/1 Search For Gold, Silver Wager, 40/1 Daring Racer, Ede´s The Best, 66/1 Balableu, Blind Faith, Missinlucan, My Jim Fan, 100/1 Dancing Valentine, Giggles O´Shea, One Upmanship.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: This can easily be narrowed down to a few. Ermine Sea is less exposed than his main rivals and should go well but the consistent NORDWIND can finally put his head in front under conditions which ought to prove favourable.[JN]

2nd and 4th betting forecast favs are non runners which must make AP McCoy's mount Ermine Sea's chance of placing, indeed winning, much much easier. Look at thebetting forecast - there were originally 5 sub 33/1 - now it's 3! 1.14 and 1.23
Fassaroe, of course, is also of interest now

235 FAIRYHOUSE
BETTING FORECAST: 2/5 Chevalier Country, 9/2 Street Legal, 8/1 Van Lone, 14/1 Idle Words, 16/1 Afram Blue, Dirar, 25/1 Eddie Dowling, Hepburn Bell, 33/1 Be Jing Lady, Horseguard, 50/1 Enceladus, Kingsdale Flyer.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Jim Gorman has found another good opportunity for CHEVALIER COUNTRY, and despite his winner's penalty he looks close to unopposable, loath as one might be to make such a statement as how any of these will jump the EasyFix hurdles is an unknown.

Soft ground the niggle here but "close to unopposable" states Spotlight 1.12

250 CATTERICK
BETTING FORECAST: 13/8 Description, 11/2 Hazy Oaks, 7/1 Emotive, 10/1 Just Waz, 12/1 Whatcanyasay, 14/1 Alloveragain, Peters Pride, 16/1 Satindra, 20/1 Macchiato, Mystified, 25/1 Farne Isle, Harcas, Ice Image, 33/1 Find Me, Parking Ticket, 50/1 Cinaman, 100/1 Big Bone.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: A big field but DESCRIPTION and Hazy Oaks, both of whom are ahead of the handicapper, look the two to concentrate on.[FC]

Ice Image 14/1 - significant?
SHortie in a big field handicap and a price gapper but not top of the list given it's a handicap hurdle

305 FAIRYHOUSE
BETTING FORECAST: 1/3 Apt Approach, 5/1 Storm Breaker, 7/1 Heavenly Bound, 10/1 Garamor Boy, 14/1 Valleyboggan, 16/1 Askwith, 20/1 Down The Dale, Kong, 25/1 Riscal, 50/1 Pour Ellie, 66/1 Alocin.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Willie Mullins hit the century mark at Leopardstown on Sunday and it would be a colossal shock if APT APPROACH didn't increase his tally in this race

A collosal shock if this one loses (apparently!) Not run since April 2008 so cautious approach but Ruby on board 1.1 to place

310 LING
BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Rough Sketch, 100/30 Lapina, 8/1 Sir Liam, Zalkani, 10/1 Generous Lad, Stoop To Conquer, 20/1 Spiritonthemount, 33/1 Shanafarahan.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Lapina should go well reunited with Jamie Spencer but the penny looks to have dropped for ROUGH SKETCH (nap) now and he remains capable of better over this sort of trip.[PSm]

Sir Liam now 4/1 so may qualify as a sub 5/1 market mover

320 CATTERICK
BETTING FORECAST: 15/8 Kilkenny All Star, 2/1 High Bird Humphrey, 9/4 Professor Higgins, 8/1 Ballabrook, 33/1 Naval Attache, 66/1 Linlithgow Lad, 100/1 Able Dara, Billsgrey, Tully Hill.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: There are possibilities about Ballabrook, but this is likely to revolve around High Bird Humphrey, KILKENNY ALL STAR and Professor Higgins. All three have proved a bit expensive to follow and Ferdy Murphy's gelding is chosen without a great deal of confidence.[FC]

4 at 66/1 or bigger amd 4 sub 33/1 make up for a possible probability race, but as with yesterday's race, dare we sicount Ballabrook? 1.35 / 1.4 / 1.31 to place the front 3 in the ebtting forecast

BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Aqualung, 3/1 Tragic Realm, 5/1 Fruity O´Rooney, 7/1 Dunkelly Castle, 10/1 Crashtown Hall, Land ´n Stars, 25/1 Quelqu´Un Comme Toi, 33/1 Sparkys Reflection, 50/1 Majic Moments, Toomuchinformation, 66/1 Light Entertainer.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: In the assumption that the ground will not be a problem, AQUALUNG is taken to follow up his debut success.[JN]

Dunkelly Castle now 4/1 in places and Crashtown Hall now 6/1

340 LINGFIELD
BETTING FORECAST: 3/1 Super Academy, 7/2 Jawaaher, 4/1 Fantastic Dubai, 7/1 Head Down, Keep Ringing, 10/1 Valkyrie, 16/1 Hector Spectre, Love Allowed, 20/1 Abu Dubai, 33/1 Primera Rossa, Rubbinghousedotcom, 66/1 Kings On The Roof,

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Jawaaher and Super Academy both remain capable of better but FANTASTIC DUBAI is bred to be a useful performer and can leave his easy-ground debut behind him this time.[PSm]

Fantastic Dubai quit a move into 10/11 in places in a race where 4 are sub 16/1 1.16 to place

350 CATTERICK
BETTING FORECAST: 4/5 I´m Delilah, 4/1 Twilight Dawn, 6/1 Karmest, 8/1 Pokanoket, 14/1 Lady Wright, 16/1 Five Wishes, 20/1 Madge, 33/1 La Donna Del Largo, 40/1 Little Firecracker, 50/1 Millbury, 150/1 Globe Trekker, 200/1 Tempo Sound.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: I'M DELILAH had the advantage of previous hurdling experience when in front of Twilight Dawn at Musselburgh and, although Len Lungo's mare didn't get the breaks either, the outcome may still be the same, albeit with a reduced level of superiority.[PJ]

Looks to be one of those days when there are many opportunities - 4 horses sub 20/1 and a market leader placed last twice 1.15 to place

400 FONTWELL
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Valentia Island, 4/1 Amoreigh, 6/1 Prey Bird, 7/1 Le Briar Soul, 9/1 Sesame Rambler, 14/1 Monzon, 16/1 Hazeljack, That´s An Idea, 20/1 Lahinch Lad.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: VALENTIA ISLAND (nap) looks a progressive type and can add to last week's emphatic success. Prey Bird could be the fly in the ointment.[JN]
Le Briar Soul standout mover and Hazeljack 10/1

BETTING FORECAST: 9/2 Head To Kerry, 6/1 Days Of Pleasure, 7/1 Alaminos, Global Strategy, 8/1 Jades Double, 10/1 Morenito, 12/1 Wiesenfurst, 14/1 Saint Par, Supa Tramp, 16/1 Amazing Request, 20/1 Better Moment, Henchman, 25/1 Compleat Artist, Hector Barbossa, Mistified, Sun God, 33/1 Major Upset, Pete The Feat.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Couldn't be bullish about the chances of any here but at least DAYS OF PLEASURE began to fulfil his potential with the help of headgear last time and remains at the right end of the weights for this. Global Strategy is a probable danger.[BDO]

Henchman 7/1

450 CATT
BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 I See A Star, 6/1 Farmer Frank, 10/1 Alisons Treasure, Gunner Royal, 12/1 Persian Prince, 14/1 Heavenly Leader, Oca De Thaix, Simply Smashing, 20/1 Shanteen Lass, Whatever You Think, 25/1 El Fargo, 33/1 Nectar De Guye, 50/1 Cupid´s Mission.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: A weak affair and an ideal launching pad for I SEE A STAR's career under rules. He looked a decent prospect in his only point and most of his rivals are established as moderate. Persian Prince may be the best each-way alternative.[FC]

Class 6 Hunter chase price gapper - GULP! 1.34 to place

520 CATTERICK
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Roses, 4/1 Whirlijig, 9/2 Lady Bluesky, Samaret, 12/1 Can´t Remember, 16/1 Carrosa Rose, Crystal Witch, Plum Mac, 25/1 Carnival Fair, Iwantclosure, 33/1 Lilla Sophia, Mizvot, 50/1 Nightboat To Cairo.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Alan Swinbank has a great record in bumpers and market confidence behind either of his debutants Roses or Whirlijig would catch the eye but a safer bet may be LADY BLUESKY, who looked a bright prospect when winning at Wetherby last spring.[BDO]

Possible movers - Carnical fair 12/1 in places and Iwantclosure 16/1 places

850 WOLVES
BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Whodunit, 5/1 Amber Moon, 7/1 Tabulate, 15/2 Trees Of Green, 10/1 Dancing Duo, Karmei, 12/1 Miss Clarice, Winged Farasi, 25/1 Almora Guru, Mays Louise, Mont Cervin, Tobago Reef, 33/1 Carnival Dream.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: This looks a weaker race than the one Whodunit dominated last week, but with Mont Cervin possibly taking him on it may be worth taking a chance with TABULATE who should get a decent pace and the race run to suit. Trees Of Green needs a market check, as does Miss Clarice.[GN]

Tabulate and Trees of Green both 7/2 and Almora Guru 14/1 in places (but some 9 hours to race time !)

It is really one of those days where target profit per dayers have many choices in both the horse racing place only and football markets
From a footballing perspective, I would hope Hamburg could do the business against Wehen ( who? - exactly!!)
From a horse racing perspective, Ermine Sea looks to have an outstanding place only chance given the non runners
If you put faith in SPotlight Ireland, then Chevalier Country is" close to unopposable" and it will be a" colossal shock" if Apt Approach does not win (so therefore his place chances are enhanced !!)
