24/2

Navikov placed which was great . The curse of the 1.5's struck Riplling Ring, as mentioned, and Aureate unplaced in what, looking at the ebtting forecast originally, was a tight handicap

210 CATT

BETTING FORECAST:
3/1 Ras Laffan, 13/2 Gin Mill, The Iron Giant, 7/1 Alloro, 10/1 Petrichan, 12/1 Silver Terra, 14/1 Lerida, 16/1 Cuccinello, Iris´s Flyer, Luzenie, Pendle Forest, 20/1 Amour Daria, Feeling Peckish, 25/1 Etoile D´Or, Vision Victory, 33/1 Fortune´s Fool.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: GIN MILL is an interesting newcomer to handicaps as although he's been beaten a fair way in novice hurdles, he's jumped and travelled well for a long way the last two times. Ras Laffan has solid enough form at this level and also has much to recommend him.[EMW]

Etoile D'or now 14/1

220 LEIC
BETTING FORECAST: 1/2 Song Of Songs, 11/4 Iffy, 15/2 Double The Trouble, 20/1 Midnight Diamond, 66/1 Guns Of Love.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: SONG OF SONGS jumped competently enough when a respectable third in a better race than this on last month's chase debut at Newbury and, assuming his jumping again passes muster, should be very hard to beat. Iffy is readily preferred for forecast hunters. [MCu]

Obvious chance? 1.14 to place

230 LING
BETTING FORECAST: 8/11 Dance And Dance, 9/2 Head Down, 11/2 Hector Spectre, 10/1 Alternative Choice, 25/1 Brett Vale, Georgina Macrae, Volito, 33/1 Buail Isteach, Sumani, 66/1 Lukatara.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: DANCE AND DANCE makes more appeal than Head Down and ought to get off the mark unless Alternative Choice has progressed a fair bit since last seen or Hector Spectre is an above-average newcomer.[GN

Dance and Dance 322 last 3 times and priced again to be competitive in another maiden. Caution - some debutants 1.16 to place

320 LEIC
BETTING FORECAST: 2/1 Apocalozzo, 13/2 Mr Floppy, 17/2 Supreme Leisure, 9/1 One Of The Boys, 10/1 Kinkeel, 11/1 Mikado Melody, 12/1 Macamoto, Saddler George, Simple Glory, 16/1 Donald Will Do, Instant Shot, Mnason, Team Chaser, 25/1 Lord Lieutenant.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: APOCALOZZO may be the answer, having won his first two starts over regulation fences and with his latest second back from a break over 3m1f at Folkestone last month strongly suggesting the return to today's shorter trip will suit him much better. Mr Floppy and Mikado Melody are both of definite interest as well.[

Donald will do now 9/2! and Team chaser 10/1. Does this put at jeopardy the chances of the fav who has been backed into 6/4
Donald's move from 16/1 betting forecast looks worth following?

410 CATT
BETTING FORECAST: 10/11 Chief Dan George, 15/8 Great Approach, 7/1 Master Builder, 16/1 Anglicisme, Oh Pickles, 20/1 Pass The Class, 66/1 Treehouse, 100/1 Esme Rides A Gaine, 150/1 Tully Hill.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: None of these look nailed on to make better chasers than hurdlers but CHIEF DAN GEORGE faces easier opposition than the last two times and gets the vote. This ground should be better for Great Approach and he is preferred of the others.[EMW]

PAss the class now 10/1 - each way chance?
A tricky race again despite only 9 runners and 3 places - will the first and 2nd favs finish in the top 3. If not ,which one may falter?

430 LING
BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Elsie Jo, 3/1 Miss Mojito, 6/1 Hint Of Honey, River Rye, 8/1 Daily Double, 10/1 Sarasota Sunshine, 16/1 Yellow River, 25/1 Lend A Light.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: bElsie Jo and Hint Of Honey are entitled to do better, but MISS MOJITO looks on a fair mark still and this half-sister to the stable's former good C&D winner Dark Islander can lose her maiden tag.[GN]

Sarisoto sunshine now 7/2 in places - significant? Definitely worth each way support given the field size

510 CATT
BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Southerness, 11/4 Sir Mulberry Hawk, 3/1 Exciting Car, 6/1 Apache Blue, 14/1 Roman Cruise, Shadrack, 20/1 Boxbury, 33/1 La Bacouetteuse, Nightboat To Cairo, 66/1 Quelbal, 100/1 Ivanshaya.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Not much strength in depth here. SOUTHERNESS has had a few chances but he's shown more than enough on decent ground to suggest he should go well under suitable conditions in a race of this nature.

Boxbury now 7/1 in places! Sir Mulberry Hawk has taken over favouratism but check out the race type!!

ONE A DAY
Only 2 appeal today -Song of songs ( 2 to place) and Dance and Dance (3 to place but a maiden)
Fankie Spencer is on board, and provided his beret does not fall over his eyes, dance and Dance has a great chance of placing for the 4th time at least. Spencer has placed on the horse twice. Head Down looks a viable alternative.
The only question in maidens is - is there a dark horse who will surprise? If so, will this affect Dance and Danceplacing at the very least?
Song of Songs only has 2 to place and ,as I am getting very wary of small field jumpers, I would prefer flat opportunities if they arrive.

No real opportunities football wise as alternatives, so again I put my faith into the hands of Spencer 1.16 is a relatively poor price alas but there are no solid alternatives in a day of big fields
