7/1

2 all weather venues again today -2 from 3 yesterday - in hindsight La Estrella should really have been the single selection with the huge price move into 1/3 from the original betting forecast price.

155 KEMP
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Towy Valley, 11/4 Five Star Junior, 9/2 Diamond Twister, 6/1 Princess Cagliari, 12/1 Captain Flasheart, Lake Sabina, 16/1 Valid Point, 25/1 Royal Mischief, 33/1 Lilleput.
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: A few possibles here and Five Star Junior and Diamond Twister are both respected. TOWY VALLEY ran well here behind a progressive sort last time though and can take care of her younger rivals

2 non runners brings the field down to 7 which should still pay 3 the place on Betfair.
2 perceived outsiders brings those -more-likely to 5, 3 of whom will place. Five star junior is currently the noticeable mover. Again this is a class 6 maiden ,hardly Kauto star to place is it!! (as has been the case the last 2 days) 1.29 to place

250 WOLVES
BETTING FORECAST: 11/10 River Kirov, 5/1 Figaro Flyer, 7/1 Peter´s Storm, War And Peace, 8/1 Incomparable, 10/1 Gainshare, 25/1 Dark Tara, 33/1 Maybe I Wont.
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: With Incomparable, Gainshare and Peter's Storm in the line up there should be plenty of pace on and that will suit RIVER KIROV (nap) whose recent busy spell showed no sign of catching up with him when a ready winner at Kempton last time. Figaro Flyer and War And Peace can fight out the places

On a hatrick in a handicap - odds on so priced to go in again, I am always wary, as you know, regarding multiple winners in handicaps - eventually the penalties will anchor the horse - it's a matter of determining when though - as I say he is priced to be competitive again today 1.16 to place

350 WOLVES
BETTING FORECAST: 10/11 Joe Jo Star, 8/1 Mocha Java, 10/1 King Of Cadeaux, 12/1 Dushstorm, Hi Spec, 14/1 Casablanca Minx, Maddy, Moorside Diamond, 16/1 Anduril, 25/1 Gifted Heir, The Graig, 33/1 Ridgeway Jazz, 50/1 Fish Called Johnny.
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: In a weak handicap the obvious one of interest is four-time course winner JOE JO STAR who is on a fair mark on what he showed for Brian Baugh but looked an improved performer when making a successful debut for Richard Fahey over hurdles at Musselburgh last month.[

Now that's a price gap!! We have not seen these this week given the really poor fare on offer. This is no better - a 0-60 handicap - I'll get me coat!

Now in my experience, ultra shorties in poor grade handicaps do tend to perform and perform well despite logic asking us if we can actually trust horses rated 0-60 (next stop Blackpool pleasure beach!) 1.25 to place

550 WOLVES
BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Cape Express, 11/2 Aypeeyes, 6/1 Heathyards Pride, 7/1 Clear Reef, 8/1 Aureate, Remember Ramon, 10/1 Bentley Brook, 12/1 Quince, 16/1 Indicible,
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Cape Express is the unexposed one here representing top connections but the handicapper hasn't taken any chances with his rating and it may be that he will go off at a very short price. As things stand, it may pay to side with C&D specialist HEATHYARDS PRIDE who can be relied upon to give a good account of himself round here and looked in rude health last time.[

Interesting one here, shorter in the live market 1.41

Others today? Man Utd away to Derby at 1.47 looks very appetising while we await for the return of turf racing. This will be my one a day today.
Were I to do the horse racing today, then Joe Jo Star I think would be my pick as the standout horse in a poor quality field
