6/1

Like yesterday, today has 2 all weather venues with a poor selection of races, but at least yesterday we had Blackburn Rovers at 1.22 as an alternative. Majehar, my one preference above the others won, and Bollin Franny was unplaced in a 5 furlong handicap

140 SOUTHWELL
BETTING FORECAST: 8/15 Smalljohn, 5/2 Madison Belle, 8/1 Sally´s Dilemma, 20/1 Art Discovery.
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Madison Belle should make SMALLJOHN work harder than last time but today's small field will suit the selection's running style and he can make it five wins out of 16.

Now 4/9 but another small field 1.1 to place

240 STHL
BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 La Estrella, 11/8 St Savarin, 8/1 My Mirasol, 12/1 Force Tradition, 14/1 Ricci De Mare, 66/1 Siegfrieds Night.
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: St Savarin comes out best on adjusted BHA ratings and his decent record at Southwell suggests a return to this track may have a positive effect but in-form LA ESTRELLA, who is unbeaten here, looks virtually certain to give his running and can complete the four-timer

Again frustratingly 2 the place but the look of a 2 horse race - La Estrella now odds on
1.18 for LA Estella and 1.43 for St Savarin

250 KEMPTON
BETTING FORECAST: 2/5 Mutamared, 11/2 Angel Voices, Red Rudy, 12/1 Obe Royal, 33/1 Stoneacre Donny.
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: A small field and steady early pace proved no barrier to MUTAMARED last time and this looks an easier contest, so he has obvious claims. Angel Voices might be his toughest rival if the switch to a visor has the desired effect.

Now 1/3 the fav in a claimer - with 2 at 20/1 and 33/1 this looks great place only albeit at a terrible price 1.11 to place

ALl 3 shortlisters have merit here today ,preference for the 140 Sthl and 250 Kempton - I will go in race order here, although the race types are terrible (2 the place)
