13/1

As ever, with the work load, I start early. Consequently team news is not available to me and it is a big factor. This you must try to do yourself.

SATURDAY
1230pm - St Johnstone v Rangers - 1.54 away
HEAD TO HEADS
19.11.2011PRGlasgow Rangers0-0St. Johnstone
30.07.2011PRSt. Johnstone0-2Glasgow Rangers
05.04.2011PRSt. Johnstone0-2Glasgow Rangers

28.08.2010PRGlasgow Rangers2-1St. Johnstone
30.03.2010PRSt. Johnstone4-1Glasgow Rangers

St johnstone have been a pain in the arses of the big 2 this season. Away, last 2, it's 0-2 to Rangers.
LEAGUE POSITION - 5th v 2nd, Celtic and Rangers dominate considerably and there is a big drop points wise to 3rd place, which is where St Johnstone could find themselves with a win.

HOME TEAM - -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team - St Johnstone

RECENT HOME FORM - LLDWWLWLLLW - have already lost at home 0-2, 0-2, 0-3 v top 3 and only one draw was a 3-3 v 6th.

RECENT FORM OVERALL - DLDWWLLLWW - recent wins v 12th and 7th came without conceding. A real Jekyll and Hyde side against the top 3, losing all at home, but win, 0-0 draw, win away from home.

GOAL TRENDS - 36% overs at home. 5 of last 7 overs, but 2 of last 3 unders ( 2-0 scorelines)Kept a clean sheet in last 2 matches.

STREAKS - 8 at home without a draw, 7 overall. No goal conceded in 2 overall.

AWAY TEAM - past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Rangers

RECENT AWAY FORM - WWWWWWWLWLL - vulnerable away it would seem of late, no draw. defeats against 1st, 7th and 8th. 7 clean sheets in those away wins.

RECENT OVERALL FORM - WDWWWDLWWWLLW - only 3 defeats this season and they have all come in last 7. Have already beaten 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th away this season without conceding.

GOAL TRENDS - 36% overs away from home matches St Johnstone at home. 4 of last 6 overs, and 5 were successful over 2.5 goals trades. The exception a 1-0 loss to Celtic. Have only failed to score in 3 this season and 2 of those ended in 1-0 defeats.

STREAKS - 11 away without a draw, 7 overall. 2 match losing streak away.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - 36% overs signals a tight match in prospect for a Rangers side with a 2 match away losing streak. Can we really see Rangers losing a 3rd consecutive away match? The lack of a draw for both sides as seen in the STREAKS signals a home win or away win, and the odds suggest the away win will prevail. St Johnstone have lost at home to nil against the top 3. 0-2, 0-1, 1-1 suggested scorelines incorporate the general under 2.5 goals trend for both sides.
St Johnstone could put up firm resistance early in this match.Overwhelmingly, Rangers goals are scored in the 2nd half. St Johnstone are quite firm defensively throughout the 90 minutes .

3pm - Aston Villa v Everton - 2.56 home

14.04.2010PRAston Villa2-2Everton FC
31.10.2009PREverton FC1-1Aston Villa
12.04.2009PRAston Villa3-3Everton FC

tough to split these 2 with 5 of 6 matches being score draws. A coincidence? An anomoly?
LEAGUE POSITION - 13th v 11th. Everton have generally played a match less then the rest. The tightness of head to heads reflected in league position proximity.

HOME TEAM - -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team  - Aston Villa

RECENT HOME FORM - WDDWLWLLLL - Villa hit a rocky patch at home. And a 4 match home losing streak really is a sequence that is due to end. It cannot be tolerated by management or home support. A double edged sword. Will the home fans pressure too much for a win? Villa only scored 1 in the last 4 home matches. 3 home defeats came against top 6 at home.

RECENT FORM OVERALL - LLDWLDLWLLDWL - inconsistent is the watchword for Villa. Last 2 wins came away v Bolton and Chelsea. I would have thought the Chelsea win would have been the shot in the arm required, but no, Villa lost 0-2 away to Swansea.

GOAL TRENDS - 40% overs at home. Only 3 of the last 9 matches over 2.5 goals. Villa have kept a clean sheet in only 4 matches this season. Villa have failed to score in 6 of the last 9 matches.

STREAKS - 4 match home losing streak. 7 without a draw at home, have conceded in last 6 at home

AWAY TEAM - past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Everton

RECENT AWAY FORM - WLLWLWLDW - Everton's away defeats have all come against top 7. Coincidence? villa are 13th, and have beaten 14th, 15th, 18th and 20th. Against the last 3, they won without conceding.

RECENT OVERALL FORM - LLWLLWWLLDWDWL - Last 5 defeats have been 0-1, 2-1, 0-1, 1-0, 1-2 -all very tight matches. The recent xmas run saw Everton score 0,0,1,1,1,1,1. Troubles in attack.

GOAL TRENDS - 33% overs away from home. 7 of last 8 matches under 2.5 goals. Have only kept 4 clean sheets this season, 2 of which came in last 4 matches.

STREAKS - 2 away without defeat. Have scored in last 2 away, and last 5 overall.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - the first way I would look at this match would be from a sequencing perspective. Your decisions will be based on whether you think Villa will avoid a 5 match home losing streak. It is tough to call. Obviously the natives will be restless and that could be counterproductive. But today's opponents are an Everton side who have scored 0,0,1,1,1,1,1 recently and their defeats have been either 1-0 or 2-1 of late. Everton will doubtlessly set up defensively. Both sides have only kept 4 clean sheets this season which could hint at a score draw , or a 1-1 back to lay trade? Also look at laying the first goalscorer in the hope that the side who score , concede.
Under 2.5 goals pervades these 2 teams. A correct score shout is difficult. You could see a Villa side scared stiff to concede.

3pm - Blackburn v Fulham - 2.58 away
HEAD TO HEADS

25.11.2009PRFulham FC3-0Blackburn Rovers
11.03.2009PRFulham FC1-2Blackburn Rovers

tough to call based on head to heads.
LEAGUE POSITION - 20th v 14th

HOME TEAM - -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Blackburn

RECENT HOME FORM - LLWLLLWLLL - no draw at home. 2 wins v Swansea and Arsenal. 4 defeats were 1-2. It is Yakubu who is scoring the goals for Blackburn at present as he did against Swansea.

RECENT FORM OVERALL - LDLDLWLLLDWL - only 3 wins this season and they have involved 5+ goals. The most recent win, 2-3 away to Man Utd. The losing run has ended recently with a draw against Liverpool and win v Man utd. The losses returned at home to Stoke, and another 1-2 scoreline.

GOAL TRENDS - 80% overs at home and 75% this season. 3 out of every 4 matches will end over 2.5 goals. Blackburn have conceded in all matches this season. Will that continue?

STREAKS - 10 at home without a draw. Have conceded in last 20. Have scored in last 9 overall.

AWAY TEAM - past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team  - Fulham

RECENT AWAY FORM - LLDLWDDLDD - 4 draws in last 5 see Fulham trying to shake off that rep as a poor away side. Last 3 draws were 1-1 and 2 matches against the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal. Sole win came away to Wigan 2-0 .0-0's against Sunderland and WBA, and Fulham have a feel of that kind of side. 3 defeats saw 2-0 losses against Stoke, Swansea and Wolves.

RECENT OVERALL FORM - LLWLDDWLWLDDW - last 3 wins were at home against Liverpool, Bolton and Arsenal. Only 2 defeats in last 9 against Swansea and Man Utd.

GOAL TRENDS - 10% overs away from home relate a defensive solidity. Only 2 of last 9 matches over 2.5 goals. Have scored and conceded in the last 3.

STREAKS - 5 away without a win. Have scored and conceded in last 3 overall.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - not a match to dwell on. Head to heads are tight. Fulham away have kept things tight, and Blackburn now have an inform Yakubu who helped them win against Man Utd and Swansea. Blackburn are overwhelmingly over 2.5 goals and Fulham overwhelmingly under 2.5 goals. So no congruency there. Reactive traders note the 1-1's for Fulham in their away draws and the fact Blackburn have conceded in all matches this season. 1-1 the scoreline to back initially. There should surely be some movement?

3pm - Celtic v Dundee Utd - 1.26 home
HEAD TO HEADS

The emphatic victories dried up in December 2011 but Celtic still manufactured a win. What will it be today? Emphatic overs victory or a 1-0? Note too that in 5 of last 6 head to heads, Dundee scored a goal.
LEAGUE POSITION - 1st v 6th. A 2 point gap between them and Rangers at the top.

HOME TEAM - -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Celtic

RECENT HOME FORM - WLWWWDWWWWW - sole defeat was that infamous St Johnstone match 0-1 which saw celtic miss a 3rd minute penalty.A 5-1 home win against today's opponents already this season. 6 clean sheets at home and only conceded 1 goal maximum in the other matches.

RECENT FORM OVERALL - LDWDWWWWWWWWWW - superb winning sequence down to imperious defence as you will read in the goal trends.

GOAL TRENDS - 55% overs at home. Average 0.45 conceded at home on average.6 clean sheets in last 7 matches. 13 clean sheets all season in 22 matches. Only away from home have Celtic conceded more than one goal. Have only failed to score in 3 matches all season. Only 2 of last 6 matches over 2.5 goals ties in with the clean sheets of late.

STREAKS - 5 match winning run at home and 10 overall. No defeat in 13 and have scored in last 10 overall. No goal conceded in 2 overall.

AWAY TEAM - past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Dundee United

RECENT AWAY FORM - WLDDLWLDWDD - only 3 wins away, 0-1 to Hearts, and 2-3 and 1-4 against 10th and 12th. 4/5 draws away were score draws. Against 1st , 2nd and 3rd away, it's 5-1 loss, 3-1 loss and 0-0 draw. As ever the Old Firm results must be taken as separate from the rest.

RECENT OVERALL FORM - LLDWLWDLWDWDL - inconsistent the best word to describe this overall form. Could be dangerous , but then against the Old Firm this season, it's 4 defeats out of 4.

GOAL TRENDS - 73% over 2.5 goals away from home. Concede an average 2.09 goals away from home. 4 of last 5 matches over 2.5 goals. Going down the league table, Dundee United, away, have conceded 5,3,0,0,3,1,2,3,2,3,1 .

STREAKS - Have scored and conceded in last 5 matches overall. No defeat in 4 away.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS ,  so is this going to be typical of Celtic and Rangers at home to Dundee United ( 5-1 and 3-1 this season) or will the Dundee United who only lost 0-1 at home to Celtic and Rangers transfer that defensive bent away on this occasion? It is difficult to determine. Celtic historically have scored plenty in head to heads. Indeed Dundee United have scored in 5 meetings prior to the last meeting, a 0-1, which ended celtic's impressive goalscoring record and Dundee's record of scoring. Celtic's clean sheet record suggests another home win, with correct scores ideally cradling overs and unders  because Celtic's recent record is for unders. So 2-0, 3-0, 2-1 potentials?
Value seekers could hope for this correct score and over 4.5 goals as a trade in the hope Celtic replicate their 4-1 and 5-1 home wins and 3-1 away win in 3 of last 4 head to heads.

3pm - Chelsea v Sunderland - 1.46 home

Remember folks, this is Sunderland under O'Neill , a different proposition entirely.
LEAGUE POSITION - 4th v 10th. A real must win for Chelsea with Spurs now joint 2nd on points, albeit not on goal difference. Sunderland are now top 10, amazing!

HOME TEAM - -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team - chelsea

RECENT HOME FORM - WWWWLLWWDL - only 2 wins in last 6 at home. Defeats to Arsenal, Liverpool ( of the top 10) and Villa. No win in 2 at home, 1-1 draw v Fulham and 1-3 loss to Villa. Have beaten 9th, 11th and 12th 3-1, 3-1, 4-1 and playing 10th today.

RECENT FORM OVERALL - LLWLWWWDDDLW - Villa "Oh Arse" is really earning his ridiculous wages , squatting on the sideline like a drunken lady on a Friday night out in Bolton. Last match ended the 4 match run without winning.

GOAL TRENDS - 90% overs at home and this is likely to continue if Daniel Sturridge starts the match. A superb striker. Chelsea have scored in all home matches this season. The 3 1-1 draws ended overs sequence recently.2 of those 3 1-1's definitely successful over 2.5 goals trends. Chelsea have only failed to score in 2 matches this season. Have scored and conceded in the last 5 matches.

STREAKS - have scored in the last 10 home matches, and last 11 overall, so reactive traders take note if 0-0 for a concerted period.

AWAY TEAM - past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Sunderland, under new management, so difficult to get an angle on.

RECENT AWAY FORM - DDLLWLLLWW - only 2 draws away came at the start of the season. 2 match away winning streak under O'neill. What an impact he has had, emphasised more when we look at recent overall form.

RECENT OVERALL FORM - LDLLWLWDWW - look at the difference new management makes. 4 wins in last 6 matches includes a 1-0 home win against the might of Man city. Now if Sunderland can keep City quiet with all of their attacking talent, then surely they have a chance away at Chelsea.
Before we get carried away, other wins were against Blackburn, QPR and Wigan, so let's put that in perspective( bottom, 2nd bottom and 4th bottom). Sunderland's record against the top 7 is poor, albeit mostly under "nice to see you to see you" Bruce.Tightness though against the better teams. 3 1-0 defeats against top 7, 2 away, 2 2-1 defeats against top 7, one against Chelsea at home, a 1-1 v Liverpool and a1-0 v Man City ( win away at City). These correct scores should be the shortlist we choose from.

GOAL TRENDS - 50% overs away from home. Only 2 of last 5 overs (under O'Neill). This O'Neill era has seen Sunderland only fail to score in 1. BUT only keep a clean sheet in 1 of last 8, importantly against Man City.

STREAKS - 8 away without a draw. Have conceded in last 5 away. Unbeaten in 4 overall.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - this could be an ideal time to take Chelsea on, at least at heavy odds on. You must decide whether this Chelsea can replicate 3-1's and 4-1's against teams either side of 10th place, today, against 10th place, or whether Sunderland will continue to be strong and tough to beat against top 7 sides. If Chelsea were to win, then 2-1, 1-0 look like goers here.Chelsea could score again as they have in all home matches. Sunderland though are renewed and you get the impression under O'Neill they will want to replicate the 1-0 against stronger City. So a 0-0 back initially I feel if Sunderland are as sound defensively as they have been against top 7. 2-1, 1-0, 0-1 correct scores covers both sides. Chelsea likely to be late merchants again so if 0-0 2nd half , get involved.

3pm - Liverpool v Stoke  - 1.46 home
HEAD TO HEADS

16.01.2010PRStoke City1-1Liverpool FC
19.08.2009PRLiverpool FC4-0Stoke City
Only 1 overs in last 5 and only 2 Liverpool home matches to go by, both scoring 2 or more, and both clean sheets.
LEAGUE POSITION - 6th v 8th. With potential Chelsea vulnerability, a win for the Reds takes them tied on points with Chelsea as is ( before we know the Chelsea v Sunderland result). Stoke are top 10 so are having a great season and can breach the 30 point mark with a win.

HOME TEAM - -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Liverpool

RECENT HOME FORM - DWWDDDDWDW - unbeaten at home and an effort to stave off those draws has kind of worked in the last 3 matches.

RECENT FORM OVERALL - WDWDLWWDDWL - all defeats this season have come away from home and without scoring.

GOAL TRENDS - 30% overs throughout this season. Although last 2 overs, general trend obviously for under 2.5 goals.

STREAKS - 10 at home without defeat. Have conceded in last 3 overall.

AWAY TEAM - past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Stoke

RECENT AWAY FORM - DWLLLLWWLW - great recent form and wins against Everton, Wolves and Blackburn. Have lost away to 1st and 5th and all defeats have tended to be emphatic.

RECENT OVERALL FORM - WLLLLWWWWLDDW - only one defeat recently sees a return to stubbornness. That defeat was against City.

GOAL TRENDS - 60% overs away from home. 10 of last 12 over 2.5 goals.

STREAKS - 9 away without a draw, have conceded in last 3 away.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - goal trends wholly incongruous here , and we have a Stoke side with only one defeat in their last 8 matches and that was against Man city. When Stoke lose, it tends to be by 2+ goals. Will this occur today. Likely Liverpool will have to be patient . Will they win to nil again? 2-0 suggested? I think this might be 0-0 for a while until Liverpool make the breakthrough.

3pm - Man Utd v Bolton - 1.17 home

17.10.2009PRManchester United2-1Bolton Wanderers
17.01.2009PRBolton Wanderers0-1Manchester United

LEAGUE POSITION - 2nd v 18th and another must win for the Red Devils with Spurs now serious contenders.

HOME TEAM - -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Man Utd

RECENT HOME FORM - WWWWLWDWWL - 2 defeats at home v City and Blackburn, a 2-3 which saw the Yak in superb form. Will United lost 2 consecutive home matches? Well they did lose 2 on the trot recently.

RECENT FORM OVERALL - WWWDWWWWWLL - recent losses to Blackburn and Newcastle.

GOAL TRENDS - 70% overs at home. Have scored in all home matches.  5 of the last 6 matches over 2.5 goals.

STREAKS - have scored in the last 10 at home. no draw in 7 overall.

AWAY TEAM - past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team  - Bolton

RECENT AWAY FORM - WLLWLLLLWW - no draw away suggests United have an ideal opportunity to win today. Bolton beat Blackburn and Everton 1-2 last 2 matches. This could be the shock scoreline.

RECENT OVERALL FORM - LLWLLLLLWLDW - only 1 defeat last 4 a sign of recovery? Lost 0-2 to Newcastle recently. against top 6, have lost 3-0, 3-0, 3-1 away from home. 3 of 4 wins have come against bottom 4 sides.

GOAL TRENDS - 90% overs away from home.

STREAKS - 10 away without a draw. Have conceded in last 9 away and last 9 overall.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - United should score today, and the fact Bolton have not had a draw suggests home win or away win. Over 2.5 goals seems congruous here and rather obvious. 3-0 and 3-1 usually for Bolton when meeting the big teams.  Add in a 1-2 away scoreline incase !Over 4.5 goals for the speculator? Goals could come late enough allowing goals bettors to get a better price in running?

PART 2

3pm - Portsmouth v West Ham - 2.6 away

26.01.2010PRPortsmouth1-1West Ham

26.12.2008PRPortsmouth1-4West Ham

LEAGUE POSITION - 17th v 2nd

HOME TEAM - -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Portsmouth

RECENT HOME FORM - LWDWLWWWDWDW - and that explains the relatively big price considering this is 17th v 2nd. Only defeats at home v 14th and 15th and solid tight performance at home against 1st, 1-1, 3rd, 1-1, 5th,, 1-0 win, and 7th , 1-0 win.

RECENT FORM OVERALL - LWLWLDWLDWWDLW - last 5 Pompey defeats were away from home.

GOAL TRENDS - 33% overs at home reinforces performances at home against top sides. Tight defence.Have score in 11 at home.

STREAKS - no defeat in 7 at home

AWAY TEAM - past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team - West Ham

RECENT AWAY FORM - WWWDDLWWWWLDL - recent dodgy run against 5th, 10th and draw against 9th.

RECENT OVERALL FORM - WDWWWWLLWDLW - 3 defeats in last 6 against top 11 sides, last 2 wins, 1-0's at home, suggest a wobble at present from West Ham?

GOAL TRENDS  - 46% overs away from home. Only 1 of last 4 matches over 2.5 goals. Have only failed to score in 2 of last 11.

STREAKS - no win in 3 away.HAve scored in last 4 overall

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - now we understand why the odds are as they are for 17th v 2nd. Pompey are good at home, and defensively solid. A slight wobble for West Ham at present could make them exploitable. Under 2.5 goals is the obvious call given Pompey's record against top 10 sides. 1-1 against 1st and 3rd, and for another match, 1-1 could be the correct score trading starter.  But what to make of the 4-3 HAmmers humdinger in last head to heads?

12.12.2009PRTottenham0-1Wolverhampton

LEAGUE POSITION - 3rd v 16th and last 3 have seen a tendency for 2/3 for the Spuds.

HOME TEAM - -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Spuds

RECENT HOME FORM - LWWWWWWDWW - solid at home but note 2 of last 3 wins 1-0 .

RECENT FORM OVERALL - WWWWWWLWDWDWW - only recent loss 2-1 away to Stoke.  6 out of 7 clean sheets in home wins. Have won all matches home and away against bottom 8.

GOAL TRENDS - 50% overs at home but recently last 6 matches unders and Spurs unbeaten. Wins either 1-0 or 2-0 recently.Wolves are one of those sides which could be hard to beat so this type of scoreline might be a goer today, particularly if Wayne Hennessey clicks. 5 clean sheets in last 8 might persuade us towards another clean sheet win.

STREAKS - Have scored in 10 at home and 19 overall. No defeat in 9 at home and 6 overall.

AWAY TEAM - past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Wolves

RECENT AWAY FORM - WDLLLLLLDD - poor Wolves facing the most inform side at present at home! Yikes. BUT 2 1-1 draws against Arsenal and Bolton show a potential here if Gareth Bale and John Lennon can be kept quiet.

RECENT OVERALL FORM - LWLLWLLDDDL - now defeats 1-2 v Chelsea, 1-1 draws with Arsenal and 4-1 away loss to United suggest an ability to score for Wolves which might have to be factored into any correct score prediction.Chelsea defeat was care of an 89th minute goal so very unlucky.

GOAL TRENDS - 60% overs away from home.Overwhelming trend towards over 2.5 goals only recently spoiled by 2 1-1 draws , both successful over 2.5 goal trades. Wolves have only kept a clean sheet in 2 matches. Pervading scorelines against top teams ( all losses bar the 1-1 Arsenal draw), see Wolves conceding 2,3 or 4 ( generally 2 or 3) and scoring in 7 of 9 matches home and away against top 8.

STREAKS - 9 away without a win. Have conceded in last 17.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - Xmas saw these types of matches almost scripted. Plucky underdog performance, hold out like Custer's last stand, and unluckily succumb. Tough to choose overs or unders here as if Wolves click, they could frustrate for a long period. If Spurs click, though, then goals should be forthcoming.
If we presume a Spurs win, then 1-0, 2-0, 2-1 straddles both overs and unders. Wolves though have conceded 3/4/3 against 1st, 3rd and 4th away. So perhaps dispense with the 1-0, and go with  2-0, 2-1, 3-1.
A must win for Spurs this match as they could go joint top and heap the pressure on the faltering Citizens. Over 2.5 goals should be a goer if the Wolves matches against top 9 is anything to go by.

3pm - West Brom v Norwich - 2.1 home - immediately this for me is a toughie to call with 2 very similarly profiled sides.
HEAD TO HEADS

09.04.2007LChNorwich City1-2West Bromwich

LEAGUE POSITION - 15th v 9th. Norwich top 10 , good season so far.

HOME TEAM - -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team - WBA

RECENT HOME FORM - LLDWLWLLDL - only 2 wins at home came against bottom 6 wides 2-1 and 2-0 loss. 4 without scoring in 6 against top 11 at home. And 5 defeats and a 0-0.

RECENT FORM OVERALL - LLWLDLWWDLL - last 2 wins away to Blackburn and Newcastle.Last 3 matches 0-0 v City, 0-1 home loss to Everton and 1-0 away loss to Spurs.

GOAL TRENDS - 40% overs at home. Last 3 matches under 2.5 goals but 6 /7 prior to those were over 2.5 goals. WBA have failed to score in last 3 matches.

STREAKS - 4 at home without a win, 3 overall.

AWAY TEAM - past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Norwich

RECENT AWAY FORM - DLWLDLLDDW - a good away run sees draws, score draws, against Everton and Wolves and a 1-2 win against QPR.

RECENT OVERALL FORM - DDLLWLWDDLDW - only 1 defeat last 5 was 0-2 at home to Spuds.Norwich scored first in 2 of the recent score draws, and the fact they were score draws suggests a battling quality and an ability to score.

GOAL TRENDS - 60% over 2.5 goals overall.Only 2 of last 5 though were over 2.5 goals. Norwich have conceded in all matches this season, hence the prevalence of score draws I suppose and this is a good angle for reactive traders. If it is 0-0, or if Norwich take the lead, we should expect a goal concesssion at some stage. Norwich have failed to score in only 3 matches this season which again explains score draws.

STREAKS - have scored in last 6 away and conceded in last 20 matches overall.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - surely Norwich's goal figures by themselves would suggest a 1-1 starter scoreline for trading purposes. If they have failed to score in only 3, but have conceded in all this season, then this is the logical trading starting point. I do not think Norwich are a "true" Top 10 side, so I would take WBA's home record ( 5 losses and a draw) against top 10 , with a pinch of salt in this context. West BRom are tough defensively and this could further enhance the 1-1 as a starter scoreline. As I said at the start, a toughie to call but I feel the trading angle is based on Norwich's stats.

5pm - Galatasaray v Karabukspor - 1.15 home
HEAD TO HEADS
21.09.2011D1Kardemir Karabükspor1-1Galatasaray SK
05.03.2011D1Galatasaray SK0-0Kardemir Karabükspor
01.10.2010D1Kardemir Karabükspor2-1Galatasaray SK

well 1.15 is not reflected if we look historically.
LEAGUE POSITION  - 1st v 16th - I have mentioned it before . galatasary really seem to have clicked this season, hence the odds I suppose. They had a very poor season last season .

HOME TEAM - -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team - galatasary

RECENT HOME FORM - WWWLDWWWW - loss against 14th rather anomolous 2-4 and 0-0 v 8th. Have conceded in all bar 2 of the home wins Only played 1 of bottom 4 and won 3-1

RECENT FORM OVERALL - WDDWWWWWWWW - superb overall form spoiled by 2 0-0 draws so a 0-0 saver for the ultra cautious. Have drawn 1-1 with today's team already this season.

GOAL TRENDS - 67% overs at home. 2 out of every 3 matches played will be over 2.5 goals. 7 of last 11 matches have seen over 2.5 goals. Have scored in all of last 8 matches. Gala have scored 3-3-2-1-4-4 recently so have the capability for turning 1.15 odds to their goal equivalents ( 3/4 minimum) - indeed they have scored 3-4-3 against bottom 2 sides home and away.

STREAKS - 4 match winning streak at home, 8 overall. No defeat in 11 overall. Have scored in last 8 overall.

AWAY TEAM - past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Karabukspor

RECENT AWAY FORM - LLLDLLLLLL - and now we get an idea why Galatasary are so short. Do note though 1-0 defeats away to 2nd and 3rd which brings a questionmark re the galatasary 1.15 quote .

RECENT OVERALL FORM - DLLLWLDLLLLW - 4 wins only this season have all come at home.

GOAL TRENDS - 60% overs away from home ties in somewhat with galatasary's. 7 of last 10 matches over 2.5 goals. Have failed to score in 4 of last 6 matches. Have kept a clean sheet in only 3 matches this season.

STREAKS - 10 away without a win. No draw in 6 away. Have conceded in last 6.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - This looks Galatasary's to lose, and normally we could increase the odds with an over 3.5 , 4.5 goals trade. Perhaps this is still a goer, along with a 1-0 cover bet incase the away side replicate performances against 2nd and 3rd away. Coupled with 1-1 head to head this season, and there is a slight niggle regarding what is expected ( 3/4 goals scored ?y the home side).
So which side of the goals trends will you fall on?
PART 3

530pm - Olympiakos v Levadiakos - 1.11 home

05.04.2009D1Levadiakos1-2Olympiakos Pireus
Last 2 matches inparticular fit in nicely with the 1.1 quote.
LEAGUE POSITION  - 1st v 15th of 16 but again we have a team who have played 6 matches fewer than the rest.

HOME TEAM - -past fixtures, forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Oly

RECENT HOME FORM - WWDDWWWW - draws against 2nd and 8th both score draws.

RECENT FORM OVERALL  - WDLWWWWWWD - great recent run coincides with imperious defence.

GOAL TRENDS - 50% overs at home. Have scored in all matches at home. 7 consecutive clean sheets. saw 6 wins and a 0-0 draw.Have only failed to score in 2 matches this season.

STREAKS - 4 match home winning streak. No defeat in 8 at home. Have scored in last 8 at home. No goal conceded in 7 overall.

AWAY TEAM - past fixtures -forthcoming fixtures and likely team - Levadiakos

RECENT AWAY FORM - DLDWL - tough to research a team who have played 6 games less as they are quite logically in a false position than if they had played the same number of matches as others.

RECENT OVERALL FORM - DLWDDLLWLL - 2 wins, both 1-0 against 8th away and 16th ( bottom) at home.

GOAL TRENDS - 40% overs away from home. Have scored in all away matches , albeit only 5. General unders trend this season.

STREAKS - no draw in 5 overall. Have scored in last 5 away.

CONCLUSION/NOTES/STANDOUT STATS - 1.11 should translate into 4/5 goals win as has occured last 2 head to heads. General trend as per research is for under 2.5 goals but this seems unlikely. Over 4.5 goals for the speculator. Even more speculative amongst you could opt for the 0-0 back to lay trade, get the prayer mats out and hope Levadiakos keep Oly quiet for at least 15 minutes.

Advantage benfica in head to heads and another short price which should translate into goals.
