26/8

Running a bit late as I'm trying to find a missing cat!!
Swedes did well yesterday for the one a day 3-0 and an early goal - trader's dream.
230 WaRWICK
BETTING FORECAST: 15/8 Marine Spirit, 7/2 Take Ten, 6/1 White Daffodil, 7/1 Ginger Grey, 8/1 Gundaroo, 10/1 Ever So Bold, 16/1 King´s Approach, 25/1 Cane Cat, 33/1 Azif, Lofthouse.

DIOMED VERDICT: MARINE SPRIT (nap) is the likeliest winner and Ever So Bold makes some appeal as an each-way alternative.

Straight 8 now and MArine Spirit to continue Godolphin good streak? Place at least? 1.18 signifies a degree of confidence here but this being a 2 year old nursery ( scene of my last losing bet on Gunner Lindley) leaves me thinking the footy is the way to go - AGAIN during this spell of poor racing

320 CATTERICK
BETTIN FGORECAST: 5/1 Harcas, Spiders Star, 6/1 Abstract Folly, Casual Garcia, Promise Maker, 8/1 Sir Sandicliffe, 10/1 Bright Sparky, Fell Pack, 12/1 Fenners, Snowberry Hill, 66/1 Treetops Hotel.

DIOMED VERDICT: HARCAS looked to have a bit in reserve when scoring at Redcar last time and he can follow up here off a 4lb higher mark.

Fav out bit why is 2nd fav as low as 6/4 - the gamble did not come off yesterday in a handicap - will this one? 1.34 to place for the gamble Spiders Star

430 WARWICK
BETTING FORECAST: 4/5 Asateer, 5/1 Herecomethegirls, Layer Cake, 10/1 Step Into Sunshine, 14/1 Love Call, Silvester, 33/1 Balzarine, 50/1 Lady Meg.

DIOMED VERDICT: HERECOMETHEGIRLS was bogged down in testing ground on her debut but is worth another chance on this forecast much quicker ground.

Odds on in this maiden and has had experience ( exposed perhaps?) 7 runners and 3 places(?) - only 3 under 16/1

What a poor day - 7 runner races (2 places) or tricky handicaps or maidens -any hope football wise? 1.12 to place and ,yes, 3 places make life a little easier. Price gapper here and typical of today's racing, is not as rock solid as the 1.79 would have us believe
BUT will he get beaten by 3 others i a 7 runner race? One is 66/1 so should be 6 runners and 3 places and there are only 3 horses under 16/1 so the bookmakers are making this a 3 horse race
Scandinavian countries cups today at 5pm see a number of very short odds on shots away from home
17:00 Sollerod-Vedbaek vs AB Copenhagen 5/1 10/3 2/5
17:00 FC Vestsjaelland vs Esbjerg 19/4 7/2 2/5
17:00 Greve vs SonderjyskE 8/1 7/2 2/7
18:00 Frem vs Koge 8/1 4/1 1/4
18:00 FC Fyn vs AaB Aalborg 12/1 11/2 1/5
18:00 Hjorring vs Silkeborg 14/1 9/2 1/6
These latter 2 games interest me Look at the draw in the Fyn game - 11/2 - compare that with the 9/2 in theHjorring game. Can we assume Ladbrokes think Aalborg are more likely to win their game because the draw price is HIGHER than that of a team 1/6 to win?
14/1 and 12/1 tell you that Ladbrokes think Fyn and Hjorring are beaten already
18:00 Lolland FA vs Lyngby 10/1 22/5 1/5
19:00 KR Reykjavik vs IBV 4/11 17/5 6/1
19:45 Newcastle vs Huddersfield 4/7 11/4 5/1
An interesting price for Newcastle this as they have been solid at home and Ameobi has found his level scoring regularly- how seriously Newcastle take the CArling Cup is anyone's guess
19:45 West Brom vs Rotherham 2/5 7/2 7/1
19:45 Doncaster vs Tottenham 6/1 10/3 4/9
The Spuds are flying and have a superb attacking force and team news will determine the worth of the 4/9
19:45 Arsenal vs Celtic 1/3
No Cesc Fabregas tonight a blow for the Arse. Celtic did beat Dynamo Moscow by the required 2 goals to progress last round but there is a gulf in quality between Premiership and Scottish PRemier LEague
19:45 Olympiacos vs Sheriff Tiraspol 1/4 9/2 11/1
19:45 Stuttgart vs Timisoara 2/7 4/1 10/1
Bundesliga teams have a habit of scoring goals so this could be a good trading match here?
19:45 Hibernian vs Brechin City 2/9 9/2 7/1
All the scottish shorties obliged yesterday - more of the same tonight

SHORTLIST
430 WARWICK- Asateer - desparate attempt to justify this as a bet - 3 under 16/1, still odds on here - has run class 2 and class 4 with a 3rd in class 5 last time out - 1.12 - 3 places - 7 runners - 1 66/1 shot makes this a 50/50 race?
And that's it folks - a short short list for the horses
Football wise, well The Racing Post tells us NEwcastle have a few injuries so I'll leave them.
THe question is which team will easily justify their odds?
Silkeborg interest me away to Hjorring at 1/6 - the market really has no liquidity -Ladbrokes offer 1.16 and there's plenty of 1.16 available at Betfair - NOT IN RUNNING
Champions LEague odds have been spot on for the shorties and Olympiakos are 1/5 while Stuttgart are 1/4 - in running this game - both take 2-0 away results back home
TEam news required for West Brom and Spurs who both look great IF strong teams are played - the latter - we can lay DOncaster at 8.4 for a 1.12 bet
ONE A DAY
I am drawn to Silkeborg here (but know nothing about team news etc) at 1.16 as long as the 1/6 quoted by Ladbrokes for an away side is a good reflection
Elsewhere the horses do not appeal (again! - patience my Son)
Stuttgart look good and West Brom and Spuds I would wait for team news - strong Spuds side and it's a lay of Doncaster in an in running match
