28/6

Cornish Rose won, but as an odds on lay, we are effectively backing over evens. faraway flower was a significant early mover and won. Silvanus race was won by Amicus Meus. Rio Royale won. Autumn blades was a very short price lay but won and really no great losses! Well Great Knight lost again - looks the type of horse to bottle it! I got out at 1.30 in running but didn't profit as all my profit was on great Knight
The 655 was won by the fav, but throughout the day there were many races where backing the outsiders in a dutch would have paid off well - Silvanus 'race being one of them

215 CHESTER
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Every Second, 3/1 Mazzola, 9/2 Countrywide City, River Rye, 7/1 Missus Christie, 25/1 That Boy Ronaldo, 66/1 Ballarina, Rock On Ciara .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: EVERY SECOND is compiling a record of seconds but he has plenty going for him from a decent draw here and can enjoy a change of luck. Entitled to reverse Windsor form with River Rye at the revised weights, he could find Mazzola his most dangerous rival.

A bottler like Great knight? Booked for a place I would imagine albeit at restrictive odds - is this Every second's day today to produce a 1 to accompany all of those 2's?

640 DON
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Doctor Crane, 11/4 Tarzan, 7/2 Thunderball, 5/1 Royal Executioner, 10/1 Pilot Light, 12/1 Ruud Revenge .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Very little in the way of a form guide and the betting should be informative. THUNDERBALL turned in a satisfactory effort when unfancied on his debut and is the tentative choice to beat Doctor Crane

tarzan worth laying if you can get odds on in a maiden where there's no form to go on

550 LING
BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Bridgewater Boys, 4/1 Kyles Prince, 5/1 Just Intersky, 6/1 Missie Baileys, 8/1 Soldiers Quest, 10/1 Soundbyte, 12/1 Thermidor, 14/1 Competitor, 20/1 Thirtyfourthstreet, 100/1 Ello Lucky .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Kyles Prince would have an obvious chance if back to form, but that's quite a big if and a better option is the in-form BRIDGEWATER BOYS (nap), who can be relied upon to run a big race at this level over a C&D that suits wel

Won 3 of the last 5, and now in a seller, again if I can engineer an odds on lay, I'll take on Bridgewater boys

650 LING
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Marie Louise, 3/1 Mezzanisi, 4/1 Soggy Dollar, 6/1 Sensible, 12/1 Kimbolton, 14/1 Miss Carlotta, 20/1 One Oi, 25/1 Sponge, 33/1 Harting Hill, Ubiquitous, 100/1 Eau Sauvage .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The experienced pair Mezzanisi and Soggy Dollar set a fair standard, but they lack the scope of MARIE LOUISE, who looks sure to build upon her solid debut fifth in a race that's worked out well.

Lay the fav if I can get odds on - a maiden race which looks messy

Scoop 6 at Newcastle signals perhaps a dutch of outsiders as spoken about yesterday

155 NMKT
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Weald Park, 4/1 Worth A King´S, 9/2 Africa´s Star, 5/1 Imaam, Reaction, 16/1 Howard, 25/1 Al Mukaala, Silent Hero, 33/1 Dazinski, 40/1 Are Can, 50/1 Ocean´s Minstrel .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: It will be interesting to see how the newcomers Imaam, Reaction and Worth A King's figure in the betting but this is a race Richard Hannon has virtually made his own in recent years and WEALD PARK, with the benefit of a previous run behind him, may be equal to the task. Africa's Star is also expected to improve on her debut effort and may get in the money.
Weald Park " may be equal to the task" - some newcomers - again would be good lay if getting odds on

IRISH COMBOS ARE AT THE CURRAGH

A Satrday and my attention largely turns to laying rather than backing. As long as the lays can be got at odds on, then we're effectively backing at odds against.
