15/6

How prophetic! "old George Clooney in goal making an arse out of himself." I wrote yesterday and the Greek keeper /Hollywood A lister did exactly that, handing victory to the Russians. Laying the draw proved profitable there.
Torres first goal = nice pay out there . Spain scored first so I traded immediately on the match odds. 1-1 half time meant overs was very tradeable. Draw/Spain came in .
From a horse racing perspective, Musical bridge placed, Little Lu lost for a great lay at a very short price, Gap PRincess found one too good for another great lay, Little Pete placed, Seventh Cavalry bombed out despite massive support, Maxwil was another lay coming 3rd, and ASk the Butler at 15/8 in a big field apprentice ridden handicap was just asking to be layed and duly came 4th.
My lazy each way on Ancien Regime came good with a placing and stakes returned. All in all a good day with one loss on Seventh Cavalry.

CORK - tempting to drive down for the meeting and cheer on the irish combos were it not for this being newsletter week!
255 - Smullen on board Spring Tale - 4/1 currently backable each way - 2 to place
330 - Portofino BAy each way
405 - Great Rumpus cat and Kingsdale ocean currently each way prices - the straight 8 here
440 - profound Beauty, Ice Queen and Love to Dance. The latter 2 O'Brien outsiders who could surprise at big odds?
510 - Alaneed

435 DONCASTER
BETTING FORECAST: Evs Factotum, 9/2 Erdeli, 6/1 Drum Major, Herrera, 16/1 Hellzapoppin, Maori, 25/1 Faraway Bay, Syriana, Thankfully, 33/1 River Danube, 66/1 Enderby Light, Enderby Princess, Miss Serena, 100/1 Doctor Delta, 200/1 Tot Hill .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Whether FACTOTUM deserves his official rating of 85 is a moot point, but he still looks to hold the aces here and will take all the beating in a race in which plausible opponents among the younger generation are surprisingly thin on the ground. It could be that fellow 4yo Erdeli will give him most to do.

A maiden the negative - form 032 is progressive - top RPR by some distance - top topspeed. -price gapper

210 STRATFORD
BETTING FORECAST: Evs Golan Way, 7/4 Sendani, 10/1 Motarjm, 12/1 Johny Scruff, 20/1 True Star, 25/1 Global Guest, 33/1 Frankly Fantastic, January Man, 50/1 Kingoftheswingers, 100/1 Night Reveller.

Motarjm each way looks the bet here in a probable 2 horse race

455 - slight mention for Collinette - 20/1 - 14/1 -perhaps a throwaway each way bet here incase this is a market move? Collinette is also a Guernsey surname so a tenuous link!

FOOTY

Czechs versus the Turks tonight is the only game of significance
The Portugeuse are likely to field a 2nd string although with players of the calibre of Nani falling into that category - it ain't bad! No motivation for the Portugeuse at all and ,if motivation were the only factor, then the Swiss would win, but without Frei, they have no threat.
The draw is only 3.15 , the 2nd lowest price in the match odds market - indicative on what market makers think.
CHance on the 0-0, 1-0, 0-1, 1-1 dutch for me correct score market
Under 2.5 goals at 1.62 looks tradeable, although it's interesting to note the slight rise - usually 1.55 when unders ARE expected.

SANDOWN
155
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Maxwil, 3/1 Premier Danseur, 5/1 Blue Spartan, 6/1 Stock Market, 8/1 Legislation, 10/1 Steele Tango, 14/1 Hustle, 16/1 Seattle Storm .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Maxwil made an encouraging reappearance at Newbury and should give another good account despite the drop in trip, but PREMIER DANSEUR confirmed the impression that he could be suited by this sort of trip when a game winner at Pontefract last time. He looks to have more to offer and can follow up her

5/2, 3/1, 3/1 currently - lay the shortest priced as prices indicate it's competitive?

215 YORK
BETTING FORECAST: 11/4 Ask The Butler, 6/1 Secret Dancer, 7/1 Jeer, 9/1 Aureate, Philanthropy, 12/1 Bazart, Chocolate Caramel, Wing Collar, 14/1 Nawamees, Step This Way, 16/1 Cruise Director, Risk, 25/1 Murfreesboro, Oddsmaker, 33/1 Maslak, Resonate, 100/1 Calzaghe .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Backing Luca Cumani's representatives in this race has been a licence to print money in the last three runnings and, although all good things come to an end, this year's standard bearer ASK THE BUTLER does look to have plenty going for him and he is taken to confirm recent superiority over Jeer. Once-raced, well-bred 3yo Secret Dancer is firmly in the could-be-anything category at this stage and is feared most

ASk the Butler layable at 13/8 if that price is translated to BEtfair - Lady amateur riders and big field

325
Ancien Regime each way - I'll be lazy and follow the hype

Watch as the usual Saturday mayhem occurs and all my lays win and all my back bets lose!

FOOTY
Spain tonight will be backed by me to turn the Swedes into turnips. Over 2.5 goals in this instance is perfectly justifiable given the class of Villa and Torres who must be any Premiership manager's dream pairing!
Torres and Villa dutched to score first appeals too -5.8 and 5.7
1.67 to back and hopefully lay off after the first goal.
Spain/Spain and Draw/Spain half time/full time leaves profit for level stakes dutch
Spain win both halves at 4 appeals to me
All eggs in one basket here leaning very much towards Spain

Greece were poor last time with old George Clooney in goal making an arse out of himself.
A match to lay the draw I think as victory is required by both sides

Not a match that sets the pulses racing
