A degree of solidity at home , and losses only to 2 South american heavyweights in recent years. 2 1-0 wins over Mali and a 1-0 win over Kenya largely stopping a successful round of overs trading with Egypt at home in friendlies.

The only friendlies on record for Niger. Largely African opposition for what looks like a new footballing nation. Great boost with a win over Cameroon, but that was part of a 3 loss, 1 score draw away record in friendlies.Niger have conceded in 7 of 8 friendlies.

730pm - Croatia v Sweden - 2.12 home -
Croatia are unbeaten in their last 16 friendlies so the inference is that they use them wisely and take them seriously enough.Last 2 matches 0-0 v Eire and France.7 Croatian clean sheets in last 9 friendlies.
Croatia have won their last 6 home friendlies and 8 of last 9, only losing to Netherlands. In those 8 wins, Croatia scored 2 or more on 7 occasions at home.
Sweden have lost 2 of their last 4 friendlies against England and Denmark.
Only 3 draws in last 25 friendlies.
Only 1 draw in last 16 away friendlies, winning 9 of the matches. 8 of Sweden's last 9 victories have come without conceding. So if you see the team news and the defence looks particularly solid, then the suggestion is an away win is imminent.
A largely unders trend for the Swedes whose scorelines tend towards 2-0, 0-2, 1-0, 0-1 .
2 well matches sides . Defences to dominate? 7 clean sheets in last 9 for Croatia and Swede scorelines around 1-0, 2-0 ( either way). 2-0, 0-2, 1-0 scorelines a possible?

745pm - Germany v France - 1.77 home - more balanced than the odds would suggest? Only 1 defeat in last 12 friendlies was a 1-2 v Australia where the Ozzies won care of a penalty.
10 of last 12 friendlies over 2.5 goals see Germans scoring 1-1-2-3-2-3-3.

Found their goalscoring boots at home last 3 matches after the shock Aussie win. In friendlies, the Germans could concede at least one which could help overs. They have conceded in 5 of last 6 home friendlies.
Unbeaten in last 8 friendlies, the French, under Laurent Blanc, have obviously focussed on defensive solidity with total goals in the last 7 matches as follows - 1-0-5-1-2-1-0 ( 1-4 v Ukraine saw Frogs score 4).
5 of last 7 friendlies under 1.5 goals with the 1-1 draw v Chile a successful under 1.5 goals trade.
Since November 2000, France have only failed to score in 2 matches away from home against Netherlands and Spain. Inferes a goal at least today?
Germany have not won any of the last 4 head to heads, albeit as far back as 2005 and beyond so what relevance these have is questionable.
Germans tend to concede in friendlies and Frenchies tend to score in friendlies, so over 2.5 goals obvious but French. defensive solidity  makes 0-0 a back to lay for as long as you dare.

745pm - Italy v USA - 1.63 home - defences to dominate? 0-0 backable initially? 12 of last 14 Italian friendlies have been, guess what?, under 2.5 goals. Only 1 draw in 6 2011 matches .

Shocking home friendly form for Italy with a highly contrasting 2-1 victory over the Spanish as recently as August 2011. An obvious tendency towards defending and hoping to nick a 1-0 which is scuppered if the opponents score first ( note defeats to Cote Divoire, Eire and Uruguay all without Italy scoring)

US have won their last 3 friendlies, last 2 by an Italian like 1-0. In fact, 7 of USA's last 8 friendlies have been 1-0 scorelines either for or against.
Only 2 draws away for the USA in friendlies since, wait for it, 1999!! That is some angle in isn't it?
4 of USA's last 5 matches were 1-0 results ( for and against).
My initial knee jerk reaction seems founded. 1-0, 0-1, 2-0 possibles. I avoid the 1-1 score draw  given the lack of an away draw really in USA friendlies. Back to lay of 0-0 is very obvious in the hope defences out for a concerted period of time.

8pm - England v Netherlands - 2.7 away - experimental England side meets a Dutch side bristling with talent in all positions and who very rarely lose any international matches. The dutch just look exceptional, particularly up front with Wesley Snjeider, Van Der Vaart, Huntelaar, Van Parsley, Arjen Robben, and any others I've missed. Alongside Spain, Dutch are blessed with a generation of superb footballers available at one time for the national side. England layable initially, particularly if they score first!
I don't know how relevant past form will be for England today under Psycho and will fresh faces.
830pm - Spain v Venezuela - 1.16 home - Spain at home are usually strong but , if I recall, they have a generally poor friendly history.

Only 1 win in last 4 friendlies for Spain tells you their attitude to such matches ( and I suppose relative strength of opposition.) A 3-0 away win v Venezuela in June 2011augurs well for the home leg and is pretty much the scoreline you'd expect for a 1.16 side.
Note that David Villa is out injured.

At home it's a different ball game. Only one defeat in friendlies since 2001! Astounding. 6 clean sheets in last 9 home matches.David Villa has been a regular goalscorer for Spain in friendlies. Surely they are too good in all areas? Pedro for instance is equally as lethal, and David Silva has been scoring as well for Spain.

REcent wins against the might of, erm, Jamaica and Guatemala.
Spain should convert that 1.16 into goals. As this is a friendly, they will probably take their foot off the gas if 2 or 3 are scored, and look to concentrate on not conceding. Obvious chance for scoreline to nil. Inplay, note the Spain v Costa Rica match . 2-0 down and backable at much better odds. Please, Spain, let Venezuela go 2-0 up because I'll be backing the Spanish at better odds all day long.
