6/7

Back to business today. Hope you had a profitable weekend. Well I was pottering about with Smoke and Mirrors yesterday and Sonny Mullen came up as a signal, at 40 to back and 6 to place back. He only fecking won and returned £184 for the win and £29 the place to £5 stakes!
Horse Racing / MrktR 5th Jul : 2m1f NHF 05-Jul-09 17:20 05-Jul-09 17:27 184.12
Horse Racing / Ayr 5th Jul : To Be Placed 05-Jul-09 17:10 05-Jul-09 17:18 30.34

215 MUSS
BETTING FORECAST: 15/8 Blue Tomato, 2/1 Glenlini, 9/2 Grudge, 13/2 Westport, 16/1 Welcome Approach, 20/1 Angelofthenorth, Princess Charlmane, 33/1 Egyptian Lord, Rue Soleil, 50/1 Throw The Dice.

DIOMED VERDICT: GLENLINI, dropped to selling company on only her third outing, has a decent chance at the weights on the form of her reappearance.

Consistent placed form in class 6 claiming and selling company for Blue Tomato 1.22 and 1.41 the front 2 to place - a 5 horse race for 3 places

300 BRIGHTON
BETTING FORECAST: 13/8 Kyle Of Bute, 5/1 Orangeleg, 11/2 Caerus, 6/1 Green Poppy, 13/2 Give Us A Song, 12/1 Eager To Bow, 14/1 Handcuff, 16/1 Sermons Mount.

DIOMED VERDICT: KYLE OF BUTE, having raced over 1m last time, will hopefully be ridden more positively here and looks the one to beat.

Price gapper in a low grade handicap - they do tend to run and place consistently 1.36 to place

315 MUSS
BETTING FORECAST: 4/6 Helieorbea, 7/2 Moon Money, 13/2 Gaselee, 12/1 Agricultural, Jobekani, 25/1 Clanachy, 100/1 Ducal Regancy Duke.

DIOMED VERDICT: HELIEORBEA is likely to stay a sharp 1m1f, for all that his pedigree isn't short of speed, and looks the one to beat on paper.

Front 3 only ones under double figure odds should dominate here 1.23 to place -only 3 under 16/1

330 BRIGHTON
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Sam´s Cross, 11/4 Caribbean Coral, 4/1 Come On Buckers, 9/2 Louphole, 8/1 Call Me Courageous, 20/1 Briery Lane, Mr Loire, 33/1 Dazzling Colours,

DIOMED VERDICT: COME ON BUCKERS could take some catching if ridden positively up the stands' side rail.

A race of 2 halves. Those 12/1 or bigger and those below 12/1
Caribbean Coral is another with very impressive and consistent form in class 6 selling and claiming company 1.4 and 1.54 the front 2 to place

750 RIPON
BETTING FORECAST: 13/8 Acquisition, 6/1 Madamlily, 13/2 Gosforth Park, 7/1 Dark Oasis, Royal Trooper, 8/1 Amethyst Dawn, Highkingofireland, 16/1 Captain Imperial.

DIOMED VERDICT: The style of ACQUISITION's maiden win last time may not have lived up to her debut promise but she did win and probably still brings some potential.

Price gapper here but tightish looking market 1.32 to place

830 WINDSOR
BETTING FORECAST: 11/8 Applause, 11/4 Insolence, 6/1 Dayanara, 7/1 Through The Forest, 20/1 Poppet´s Lovein, Seeking Faith, 25/1 Highland Lassie, Kimberley Rocks, Salamon, 33/1 Countrystyle Lass, 50/1 Stardust Memories, 66/1 Douchkette, 100/1 Action Girl, Balzarine.

DIOMED VERDICT: Both Jeremy Noseda and Sir Michael Stoute have fine strike-rates here and Applause and INSOLENCE can fight out the finish.

2 horse race , but plenty of runners and a maiden 1.33 and 1.29 the front 2 to place

920 RIPON
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Eastern Warrior, 7/2 Mustakmil, 9/2 Steel Trade, 5/1 Canyon Ranch, 6/1 Nisaal, 14/1 Meml, 20/1 Informal Affair, 25/1 Brockfield, 33/1 Skybob, 40/1 Rose Avelina, 50/1 Occasion.

DIOMED VERDICT: Others have shown significant ability but EASTERN WARRIOR is selected to end his run of seconds with a win.

String of close 2nds shows consistency for this maiden favourite 1.3 to place

FOOTBALL
18:00 Elfsborg vs Orgryte 1/4

2nd v bottom. Bottom team have been beaten 3-1 and 3-0 away from home by 1st and 3rd in league which augurs well.
Elfsburg though have tended to be involved in tight finishes - 2 1-0's and 2 1-1 draws at home signifies this

Orgryte have lost all away from home this season. Indeed they have not won a match this season
1.3 to win

SHORTLIST

215 MUSS - a seller is not ideal nor is the fact this is a top heavy market with 2 dominating and usually one of these 2 will not place. So which to chose? Well, for me, Blue Tomato has he consistent form whenever he has run at this level.

315 MUSS - 3 horses under 16/1 and ideally we need to check the market or any moves as this is a maiden with a couple of newcomers. As things stand, primary focus should be on those 3 under 16/1 with Heleorbea at 1.23 reasonable enough with placed form last 2 runs

330 BRIG - 8 runners - 3 at 25/1 or bigger.Like Blue Tomato, Caribbean Coral is the one with the great placed and winning form in class 6 claimer and selling company.Again, though, a poor race type and top heavy market 1.54 to place is not a wholly confident price though

600- Elfsborg v Orgryte. Should be a comfortable home win in what is a tradeable football match and a good alternative in a day of poor sellers and claimers and maidens. 1.3 is a good price in a match where we can reverse out if Elfsborg score first

750 RIPON - Acquisition is a price gapper in a straight 8 race - 5 to beat to place, but a long time til race time.

ONE A DAY

At this stage 315 Muss - Heleorbea looks to have one to beat to place if, indeed ,this race revolves around the 3 under 16/1 in the betting. A risky race given it is a maiden and 2nd fav is looking well favoured in the market. ALso 2 places, but looks the pick of the afternoon shortlisters
Elfsborg at 1.3 is very enticing indeed against a team yet to win this season either home and away ( of course I expect they will break this losing sequence eventually, but today - against 2nd in league? Hope not. Cue 3-0, 3-1 victory if we compare Orgryte's performances against 1st and 3rd in the league)
