4/6

Here's a bit of cockney rhyming for you.
I have had a warning from FRUGLE that I am not allowed to encourage readers the HANS BLICK on the BUSTER GONADS.
So that particular avenue of revenue has not been cut short so there is no point in you HANS BLICKING on the BUSTERS anymore.
I will need to find another way of charging which will ensure value for money. Any suggestions gratefully received. I don't want to put an hour + of my time per day for free as you can understand.
Regular readers know how much work I put in so I don't think it's unfair to charge a small fee. So stay tuned, I'm looking for alternatives

Anyway ,back to business.
Fed did the biz as did Joe Joe Star, and congrats to Lee Topliss on hs first win and a very confident ride too-well done son!

200 NEWTON ABBOTT
BETTING FORECAST: 6/5 Rockys Choice, 4/1 Aypeeyes, 9/2 Rapid City, 5/1 Mississippian, 16/1 Wait For The Light, 25/1 Hot Choc, 33/1 Living The Dream, 40/1 The Kiwi Matriarch, 50/1 Wadham Hill, 100/1 Awe.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: An interesting quartet line up here and, given his proven ability over hurdles and the fact he has joined an in-form yard, ROCKY'S CHOICE is given preference. Any of Aypeeyes, Mississippian and Rapid City might well be capable of bustling him up.[JN]

Should involve 4 horses this race, with a now odds on shot as fav under Richard Johnson, perennial 2nd best jumps jockey to AP McCoy
Not run since August 2008 though 1.15 to place - they expect Rocky to punch above his weight today ( GROAN!)

210 HAMILTON
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Rock Of Love, 100/30 Whispered Times, 5/1 Durham Reflection, 6/1 Unshakable Will, 8/1 Magic Footsteps, Sands Of Dee, 12/1 Hold On Tiger, 33/1 Wing N Prayer.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Rock Of Love took a significant step forward when going close at Yarmouth and a similar display should put him right in the picture again, but preference is for DURHAM REFLECTION, who shaped well on his debut in a race which is working out well and is expected to come on a deal for the run.

I do like Mark Johnston horses and their " thou shalt not pass" attitude. Fav looks to be progressing and I like maidens who have at least had a recent run
Preference would be for Joe Fanning in the plate, the stable's first jockey but I suppose Greg Fairley is a reasonable alternative
2 places here is the problem
4 one time outers open to improvement and 3 debutants means, with 2 places, we have to be confident 1.19 to place
Concern that spotlight gone for another horse
220 LING
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Ravi River, 7/2 Northern Desert, 5/1 Taste Of Honey, 6/1 Straitjacket, 8/1 Polmaily, 10/1 Fun In The Sun, 20/1 Hatman Jack, 25/1 Wicksy Creek, 33/1 Igotim, Miss Kadee, 66/1 Always The Sun, 100/1 Black Draft.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The return of headgear heightens interest in Polmaily but RAVI RIVER is the most likely winner if he can click straight back into the groove for his new yard after a couple of months off.[AWJ]

Fav out and 2nd fav takes over the mantle here. Originally 6 only under 20/1 but this is not reflected in the live market because the non runner is such a short price
Negatives - seller and of course they are in sellers for a reason 1.39

240 HAMILTON
BETTING FORECAST: 1/2 Legal Eagle, 5/1 Aahaygirl, 7/1 Secret Dubai, 14/1 Digit, 25/1 Aegean Pride, Smelly Cat, 33/1 Waltzing Buddy.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: LEGAL EAGLE looks too good for this opposition, though Aahaygirl is a threat if blinkers bring her back to form.[PJ]

Now battered into 2/5, this is a claimer though and there can be surprises in these claimers. Why so short then? Is it justified?
MArked drop in grade after running in better class handicaps
Formidable jockey/ trainer combo on the flat 1.16 to place

250 LING
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Swilly Ferry, 6/1 Almadaa, 7/1 Kyoatee Kilt, 8/1 The Shuffler, 10/1 Al Khimiya, Diamond Johnny G, Rodrigo De Freitas, 12/1 Dubai Miracle, 16/1 China Bay, Dashing Doc, 20/1 Amno Dancer, 25/1 New Den.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Swilly Ferry has the ability to win a maiden but is proving expensive to follow and could be vulnerable again. The betting should give an idea of what can be expected from the newcomers, but the suggestion is ALMADAA, who came in for support in a better race on his debut and can leave that running behind, despite an unfavourable draw.[FC]

11/8 now and 2 3rd places, one at Chester where the draw is king and can mean horses not drawn favourably can produce results not reflective of their abilities
Pleaced form in class 3 and 4-this is class 6, but is a big field maiden race and quite a few debutants 1.35 to place - they're non too confident to back this one -have I missed something? Good form in better class races

330 NA
BETTING FORECAST: 4/6 Silver Point, 5/1 Bingo Des Mottes, 6/1 Trevian, 13/2 Another Bottle, 25/1 Psychological, Shrewd Dude, 33/1 Hurstpierpoint, 50/1 Montrose Man, 66/1 Cover Drive, 100/1 Ten Hour Lunch.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Bingo Des Mottes may be better served by taking this by the scruff of the neck but it is still hard to work out why he can reverse last month's form with SILVER POINT, who should have learned a lot from his promising first effort.[JN]

Price gapper here with good looking flat form in France although that form is not transferable to England is it so we don't know the merits of those runs
Good 2nd in first hurdle race recently. Another maiden hurdle and maiden hurdles do bring surprises
odds on and only 3 under 16/1 1.11 to place - if odds are to be believed, this is a 3 horse race. BUT remember jumps mean horses must not fall, unseat or get puled up for us to collect

340 HAM
BETTING FORECAST: 15/8 Mountain Cat, 3/1 Tanforan, 5/1 Singora Lady, 7/1 This Ones For Eddy, 11/1 Bourse, 14/1 Bold Indian, Pianoforte, 16/1 Forzarzi, 50/1 Bright Falcon.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Tanforan, back on song at last, is 4lb ahead of the handicapper and has an obvious chance of going one better than at Chepstow last week but another quick run on fast ground might not be ideal and there is a plausible alternative in MOUNTAIN CAT, who also emerged of character with recent for m from the doldrums last time and will be suited by the return to 1m

Rpice gapper in a class 5 0-70 handicap BUT I am concerned that he " suddenly sprung back to life" - could be read as having one run out which may be a fluke given his recent poor form?
1.42 to place
350 LING
BETTING FORECAST: 4/6 Flame Of Gibraltar, 4/1 Tisifone, 6/1 Monaco Dream, 7/1 Chicora, 14/1 Lush, 25/1 Maid Of Stone, 40/1 Full Blue, Sadaska, 50/1 She´s A Model, 100/1 Arabian Moonlight, Risky Lady, Urban Bounty,

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Hard to look beyond FLAME OF GIBRALTAR, who shaped well in a stronger contest at Newmarket recently and still holds an entry in the Ribblesdale Stakes. Tisifone and Monaco Dream can fight out the minor honours.[SR]

2/5 in a big field maiden must be handy? But after just one run? That's a lot of faith! 1.12 to place
Dad is Rock of Gibraltar ( respect!) and this filly cost 900,000 euros so they must get the win if the Ribblestakes entry is to be justified
420 LING
BETTING
FORECAST:
11/4 Jafaru, 6/1 Dr McFab, 8/1 Amwell Brave, Barbirolli, 10/1 Casablanca Minx, Compton Charlie, 12/1 Hathaal, Ridgetime Anna, 14/1 Le Corvee, Looks The Business, Muffett´s Dream, 25/1 Mid Valley, 33/1 Amarillo Slim, 50/1 Spartan Dance, 100/1 Newmarket Story,

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Plenty of runners but few serious contenders. The solid option is JAFARU (nap), who is proven in the conditions and comes here in good heart, unlike most of these. Casablanca Minx could be the chief danger.[SR]

Price gapper in a class 6 0-55 handicap and these are great. BUT not quite Cwm Rhondda is he? More pronounced in the live market though with fav at 5/4 and 2nd fav at 7/1
POSITIVES - Ryan Moore in the plate and 4 places on Betfair for 14 runners 1.33 to place -ONLY 3 PLACES is a surprise as it was originally 16 runner handicap

510 HAMILTON - 8 down to 6 and a 50/50 race so chose one horse and hope 3 don't beat him, but a look at the market and this is wide open - a real lottery but a lottery where you have a 50/50 chance

As you can see the prices really are enticing. Perhaps back 2 at 2.00 or over and hope one places at least ( if both place you're quids in)

550 UTTOXETER
BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Any Given Day, 11/8 Emerald Wilderness, 8/1 Urban Tiger, 14/1 Strong Market, 20/1 General Mayo, Spike Wood, Stratford Stroller, 200/1 Colemanstown.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Alan King's decision to persevere over hurdles with Emerald Wilderness has to be respected but ANY GIVEN DAY wasn't a million miles behind him on the Flat and produced quite a polished performance for a debutant at Kelso.[AWJ]

we saw with Black Jacari yesterday that Alan King and Choc can win on horses with some umms and ahhs about them
8 runners, 3 places - one clear outsider but Any Given day is the odds on fav here 1.16 and 1.3 the front 2 to place

630 LEOP
BETTING FORECAST: 11/8 Mark Twain, 2/1 Waajida, 6/1 Goldarover, 8/1 Moran Gra, 10/1 One Set, 12/1 Classic White.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: WAAJIDA, a daughter of the 2005 Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Dubawi, may be good enough to beat the quintet with previous experience. The Dermot Weld-trained filly is a half-sister to several winning juveniles including Hammadi who was fourth in the Cornwallis Stakes two seasons ago and was a Listed winner over 5f in the Emirates earlier this year.

ballydoyle's A Team on Mark Twain ( the horse not the writer!) and Weld/ Smullen on 2nd fav - as we saw with the 800 Fairyhouse, dutching 2 strong market leaders from big stables returned £18 to £100 stakes
Same again here perhaps?

835 UTTOXETER
BETTING FORECAST: 15/8 Bundle Up, 11/2 Maria Antonia, 8/1 Aintnonancy, 9/1 Won More Night, 11/1 Taran Tregarth, 12/1 Chinara, Sea Cove, 14/1 Chilla Cilla, Pips Assertive Way, 16/1 Royaltea, 20/1 Happy Fleet, Miss Ladybird, 33/1 Sur La Valise, Where Now Madame.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: BUNDLE UP (nap), who escapes a penalty, is taken to follow up week's Huntingdon success, which showed that a change of scenery and drop back in distance has had a positive effect. Of the remainder, Maria Antonia is quite an interesting contender on her first outing for the in-form Alison Thorpe, particularly if market signals are positive.[SB]

Price gapper but Maria Antonia has close the gap 1.61 to place

FOOTBALL
France Youth at 1/4 surely should spank Qatar youth at 745pm 1.22 but emphasis on the word " youth" HERE for anyone getting involved

SHORTLIST
210 HAMILTON - Rock of love is now in a 7 runner race and 3 places so has 4 to beat to place,
1.19 to place - slight risk given maiden race, and 4 one time outers and 2 debutants. Hohnston horse may swing this one for me

240 HAMILTON - the obligatory shortie here in My legal eagle -1.16 to place in a 2 the place claimer means we have to be ultra confident of a good run and the race type does not fully instil that

350 LING - Flame of Gibraltar has a superb father , cost 900,000 euros and is entered in the Ribblesdale based on first run.
1.12 to place in a fillies maiden. A bad race type and middle distance, we have to put faith in the jockey to judge these middle distance affairs right.A few debutants and some possible improvers, hope here is the 900,000 euros was spent for a reason!

FRANCE YOUTH v QATAR. 1.22 Surely they are not as bad as their national firsst squad are at friendlies. I mean QATAR! Worth leaders in football - multiple world cup winners NOT.
Must be a good bet surely? Even though these are youth sides

ONE A DAY
I'll go with time order today. Rock of love surely will be competitive on his 4th run after a 2nd when the pair were clear. Hopefully a typical Johnston horse and tough to pass. A risk given the maiden status of the race and he debutants and possible improvers, BUT will 4 runners beat this horse out of the places?
France Youth look to me like a great bet, and if you fancy an alternative, perhaps risk the 900,000 euros Flame of Gibraltar even though this is a maiden.
The choice , as ever , is yours but the hope is Rock of love gives his running

Hi Clive, how about putting a Paypal button on your blog and asking for voluntary donations? Or you could promote good Clickbank products (not many, I know) like false favourites?
