13/11

A non too exciting day yesterday as I mentioned in my closing note. Kirbybroguelantern won at 8/11, and Roaring Forte won, but at 1.08 was worth laying for £100 JUST IN CASE there was a shock, as does occur in horse racing. One betfair big hitter had £12K on the horse to win! The 2 year old claimer didn't result in Miss Solo placing and to be honest I wasn't really expecting ant positives from this poor race. " a tricky Monday you could swerve today" - hope you did!
Exeter full of small fields, some hurdling newcomers and 2-3 horse races judging by the betting forecast. A cake walk for Twist Magic at Kempton but at 1/4 over obstacles a no play for me. Might try and nick a 0.10 point trade by backing before the race and laying in running.
100 SEDGEFIELD
BETTING FORECAST: 4/7 John Dillon, 5/1 Nota Liberata, Strobe, 6/1 Akiyama, 33/1 Into Action, Rain And Shade, 66/1 Malguru ,
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Strobe should have a future over hurdles but this trip round here could be a bit sharp for him and he'll do well to conquer JOHN DILLON, who is comfortably the pick of those with jumping experience.[AWJ] John Dillon Improved for a visor on the Flat this summer (won off 62 and then placed off higher) and headgear been absent for both his good runs over hurdles, latest second at Aintree representing solid form in the context of this race; very hard to beat unless blinkers have an adverse effect.
Some nice positive words and a price gap to boot in this juvenile novices hurdle.

The 205 sees Soulard in a maiden chase - the race type puts me off alas

EACH WAYS
Really a no bet day for me yesterday with one choice in a 2 year old maiden claimer- really not an ideal betting medium.

Into Action: will only run if there is rain, states trainer BETTING FORECAST: 4/7 John Dillon, 5/1 Nota Liberata, Strobe, 6/1 Akiyama, 33/1 Into Action, Rain And Shade, 66/1 Malguru,
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Strobe should have a future over hurdles but this trip round here could be a bit sharp for him and he'll do well to conquer JOHN DILLON, who is comfortably the pick of those with jumping experience.[AWJ]I do hope Into Action runs ,enabling us to keep the field of 8 and 3 the place ( although this doesnt matter too much on BEtfair, his absence will lower the place only market odds. A good each way race this , with a shortie and 3 perceived outsiders leaving Nota Liberata ,Strobe and Akiyama as the horses to chose from.
The adventurous amongst you can actually chose 2 from 3 in the hope one of the outsiders doesn't spring a surprise. I will chance Nota Liberata each way with this one caveat though - the ideal will be all 8 running, otherwise it'll be a bet where the place only part of the bet will have the greater stake than the win only part
220 KEMPTON
BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Chomba Womba, 3/1 Cantabilly, 4/1 Refinement, 13/2 Mobaasher, 10/1 Cool Roxy, 11/1 Warne´s Way, 12/1 Glacial Sunset, 25/1 Turtle Soup.4 before 10/1 and Refinement each way for me looks good to place
340 EXETER
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Roussea, 3/1 Secret Glen, 6/1 Ackhurst, Walsingham, 7/1 Nagano, 14/1 Constantius, 25/1 Working Late, 33/1 Massini Sunset, 50/1 Harrival, 66/1 Deep Quest .
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Poor fare but a decent opportunity for ROUSSEA who has run well in defeat both outings for his new connections. Secret Glen is the likely danger.[FC]A warning "poor fare" - 5 horses before the 14/1 shot. Nagano each way for me has ,potentially, 2 to beat for the place payout

Another tricky day - why? So many 5-6-7 runner fields mean that we are left with fewer races to chose from for our each way selections.
