9/6 UPDATE

355 SALISBURY - Aromatic has a penalty to carry but 2 wins recently show a progressive profile. 1.41 to place

445 REDCAR
Luc Jordan is now odds on shot.1.18 to place and 2 recent 2nd placers do encourage place only backers. 4 horses only under 14/1 should be the ones to concentrate on surely? IS this a potential probability bet if we just focus on these 4, with 3 to place.
Proud Times has had 3 2nd places too. The top 4 all look open to improvement - the hope? luc Jordan has MORE scope for improvement than the others AND there are no dark horses amongst the double igure odds contingent

515 REDCAR - Ethics Girl is the classic price gapper in a 0-60 class 6 handicap and merits attention on that score alone. Very good run in a class 5 0-70 last time out, trainer hopes this slight drop in grade will get the win. These price gappers tend to place 1.34 to place

700 STHL - must be of interest with 4 of the top jumps jockeys on 4 of the best horses ( price wise anyway) in this race.Papuan prince is 7/1 but the other 3 are really tight at the head of the market.

815 CHESTER - the obligatory 5 runner race and 3 places allows a great probability opportunity. This is a typically tight handicap and nothing can be discounted. Again, do we opt for the live market favourite by default or the original betting forecast favourite?

FOOTBALL
Surely, even with the fact this is a friendly, Spain at 1.16 against Azerbaijan looks an outstanding bet if they play the stars.

Russian under 21's are 1.12 to beat the Faroe islands under 21 side. This looks a steal surely?

ONE A DAY
From a horse racing perspective, it is the 700 Southwell which is of interest to me. I would place back the live market favourite nearer the off - this, I hope, will capture the horse the punters and bookmakers feel has the best chance of a win
815 CHESTER offers an outstanding opportunity to pick a horse at big place odds who WON'T get beaten by 3 horses in a 5 horse race. It really is a difficult race to pick one - again nearer the off perhaps place back the live market favourite.
From a footballing perspective, Spain at 1.16 look outstanding and will be my one a day official selection.Off at 5pm, this game will be finished by 7pm so hopefully Spain will have won and there will be no need to get involved in the 700 Southwell
An even safer bet would, I suggest, be Russia's under 21's versus Faroe Islands. 1.12 looks great value here considering the population base of each respective countries and the larger pool of players to chose from.
SO IT'S SPAIN V AZERBAIJAN FOR ME AT 1.16
