11/6

Well done England - job done in a matter of minutes!

ENHANCED BETS ANYONE? Did you notice yesterday that New Zealand were leading the World Champions twice! Great enhanced bet on Italy at 2.12 at one stage ( were 1/8 before match) -I made £50 green screen on this match backing Italy when they went a goal down and trading out after they equalised. They eventually won 4-3

No football today alas, but when we get games like yesterday's we really must exploit them as the most solid methods of nailing that one a day

The class 6 handicap price gappers returned to form yesterday

125 NOTTINGHAM
BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Volito, 6/1 West Leake, 7/1 Plumage, 9/1 Chosen One, Punching, 10/1 Compton Blue, 14/1 Circuit Dancer, 16/1 Danzili Bay, 20/1 Coleorton Dancer, El Potro, Elkhorn, Flying Applause, No Grouse, 25/1 Cross Of Lorraine, Namu, 33/1 Ghost Dancer, Star Acclaim.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: This would be a completely run-of-the-mill affair if it wasn't for VOLITO (nap), who turned in a much-improved performance when winning here last week. He has plenty going for him under a penalty, with West Leake preferred of the remainder.[Emily Weber]

Here's another one, but yesterday's was in an 8 runner race. As you can see, this is a 17 runner handicap 1.6 to place
Positives - 4 places
Negatives - 16 opponents.

220 YARMOUTH
BETTING FORECAST: 4/7 Tomintoul Singer, 7/1 Feisty´s Brother, 10/1 Yawary, 12/1 Perfect Ch´I, 16/1 Blinka Me, 20/1 Bookiesindex Girl, Emma Dora, Hill Of Miller, 33/1 Keen Bidder, Winston´s Lad, 66/1 Princess Shamal.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: For all a couple down the bottom of the card are open to improvement and Feisty's Brother makes some appeal as the likeliest of the newcomers, TOMINTOUL SINGER is very hard to get away from and ought to get off the mark.[Graeme North]

Now 4/11 and very much a huge price gapper in the live market. Concern is that this horse has only had one run, albeit an encouraging one. The race is a typical maiden with one time out performers open to improvement and debutants who could be anything. Is this a selection by default though given the big price drop into 4/11 1.06 place 1.34 to win

230 NOTT
BETTING FORECAST: 100/30 Murcar, 7/2 Monte Pattino, 9/2 Shy, 11/2 Ovthenight, Rare Ruby, 13/2 Soundbyte, 10/1 Wabbraan, 25/1 Royal Premier.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: MURCAR sprang to life with blinkers applied when running away with a Newbury handicap last time and could improve again and defy an 8lb rise. Monte Pattino, Soundbyte and Shy are feared most of the rest. [David Moon]

Now 6/4 and an 8 runner field so 3 places but guess who's on board! 1.33 to place

315 NEWBURY
BETTING FORECAST: 8/13 Hidden Brief, 9/2 Brief Look, 5/1 Kenaaya, 12/1 Going For Gold, 16/1 Crocus Rose, 25/1 Bow To No One, Course De Diamante, 28/1 Mission Lodge, 40/1 Spirit Of The Glen, 50/1 Tres Chic.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: A couple of well-bred newcomers from top stables which are capable of readying a first-timer in Brief Look and Kenaaya but HIDDEN BRIEF sets a very useful standard on form - she has an official handicap rating of 95, which ought to be enough to win the vast majority of maidens - and is hard to get away from. [Mel Cullinan]

Another price gapper in a maiden race. Has had 3 runs which is encouraging but same negatives as the 220 Yarmouth 1.08 place

350 NEWBURY
BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Kinetix, 4/1 Park Melody, 11/2 Whooshka, 7/1 Chanrossa, 10/1 Red Red Rascal, 12/1 Brilliana, 25/1 Carte D´Oro, 28/1 Megavista, 33/1 Diamond Dee,

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: A couple of interesting newcomers in Park Melody and Whooshka, so market reference is strongly advised. Preference though is for the proven promise of KINETIX, who caught the eye on his first run.

Yet another similarly profiled maiden race 1.17 place

505 YARMOUTH
BETTING FORECAST: 4/6 Brett Vale, 6/1 Venture Capitalist, 12/1 Jumaana, Persian Tomcat, Windpfeil, 16/1 Valkyrie, 25/1 Hector Spectre, Hi Fling, Rowan Tiger, 33/1 Langford Decoit, Outland, 40/1 Dark Echoes,

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: In-form Brett Vale will rightly be popular if turned out after yesterday's decisive Brighton win but an each-way chance is taken with JUMAANA, who has had excuses for both runs since an encouraging debut effort and he could improve for the return to a sound surface and for the step up in trip

Price gapper in a 0-60 handicap - the race I referred to earlier. I backed this one to place yesterday and Brett Vale was imperious. 8 runner field yesterday was ideal for place only backing - 13 runners is not ideal.
Not convinced with an apprentice up today though. 1.26 to place

640 UTTOXETER
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Baren De Doc, 7/2 Havenstone, 9/2 Across The Divide, Rutba, 6/1 Crackerjack Lad, 14/1 Photogenique, 16/1 Musical Weld, 20/1 Rocky Lane, 25/1 Lough Beg, 33/1 Allnite, 50/1 Wonderwinder, 100/1 Little Squirrell, Safeguard, Shady Olive.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Market confidence behind interesting debutant Across The Divide or fair Flat recruit Rutba would catch the eye but a safer call might be BAREN DE DOC, who's produced enough over hurdles and fences to win a race of this calibre.[Ben Osborne]

Solid placed form for the fav and Richard Johnson retains the ride. Again a maiden hurdle and these are not ideal race types 1.32 to place

730 FONTWELL
BETTING FORECAST: 6/4 Light Yield, 15/8 Postmaster, 9/2 Smoke And Mirrors, 13/2 I´m A Legend, 16/1 Drombeg Pride, 40/1 An Fear Liath.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Postmaster deserves to shrug off his bout of seconditis but he may have to settle for minor honours again if LIGHT YIELD, who was of a similar standard over hurdles and is 1-1 at Fontwell, builds on the promise of his chasing debut.[Steven Boow]

2nd last 4 times but a couple of those 2nd's he was 17 lengths 2nd!

A 2 horse race perhaps here? 1.36 ad 1.42 the front 2 to place
820 hAYDOCK
BETTING FORECAST: 13/8 Sunshine Always, 9/2 Hail Promenader, 11/2 Deadly Encounter, Floor Show, 9/1 Doric Echo, 12/1 Big Apple Boy, Foreign Investment, 14/1 Richo.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: This race largely revolves around whether a mark of 79 underestimates impressive Wolverhampton winner SUNSHINE ALWAYS (nap), who is by far the least exposed runner in the field. The overall impression is that he looks well up to the task as he seems very likely to progress and is just the type that his astute trainer will do well with in handicap company. Hail Promenader may be able to improve a bit further for the drop back to 7f.[Steven Boow]

Price gapper in an 8 runner field, but a typical competitive handicap 1.35 to place

ELSEWHERE
New Zealand to beat Ireland in the 20-20 cricket at 1.09.The Irish have been doing great but should face there match here surely? I'm no expert of course and team news/injuries to either teams may prove decisive?

SHORTLIST
220 YARMOUTH. The very fact that Tomintoul Singer is now 1/3 this early in proceedings with 2nd best at 12/1 should surely signal a comfortable win for the horse. 1.06 to place is far too short alas and perhaps a rare foray into the win market at 1.34 given the huge price gap may be an option? I would back at 1.34 and perhaps lay at 1.18 (using keep bets) in the win market to create a 1.16 equivalent bet.

The risk/reward ratio for the place market is far too high.
Analysis of last race
"Tomintoul Singer, a 25,000gns first foal of a 6f winner, travelled better than anything but did not quite see her race out. She should be extremely hard to beat in a similar race over this trip next time."

315 NEWBURY
Hidden brief has had 2 runs this year which, for a maiden, is always a good sign. Ran in a class 1 last time out - this is a class 5 so a marked drop in trip explains the 2/9 quote in the live market.
Again 1.08 to place is unappetising but, I suppose, reflects the horse's chances.

3 debutants are 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the betting market and are a niggle.

505 YARMOUTH
Brett Vale was superb yesterday winning as he liked under Seb Sanders going away from the opposition with the utmost of ease.
Quickly turned out again today to take advantage of lenient(ish) handicapping, he concern is the apprentice rider Rosie jesspo who claims 7 lbs.
Maintains his 4/5 odds on status in this 13 runner handicap.
It must be said that yesterday was an 8 runner race -3 places and the horse was far more confidently talked about yesterday.
IF you get involved here you put your faith in Rosie Jessop as there is nothing presently wrong with the horse.

New Zealand at 1.09 look enticing against the Irish in the 20-20 cricket .

ONE A DAY
A very difficult day today with short prices in maidens with debutants and one time out performers.
Will Brett Vale produce another stunning performance today under an apprentice jockey? 1.26 is enticing odds.
My one a day? New Zealand v Ireland at 1.09 looks the best bet of the day .
Personally I will back the favourite in the 220 Yarmouth at 1.34 IN THE WIN market and trade in running.
I am pleased with all shortlisters today and may get involved in all on a race by race basis. Brett Vale is the riskiest purely because of the apprentice female jockey on board but has a great chance of placing at least given the superb run yesterday.1 mile 2 furlongs does mean that the jockey plays an important part in ensuring the horse is placed correctly ( especially in a 13 runner race) and is put out for a run at the right time
CONCLUSION. NO BET for compounding target profit per day, but for level stakes I will be getting involved in the New Zealand match and backing Timintoul Singer in the win market to trade out in running
Remember this is my decision - it's my money and I am ONLY responsible for my losses and no-one else's so please make your own decisions.I am not responsible for what you do with the information given.
I only say this as I am willing to take a greater risk today and am prepared for a loss should it happen. I know nothing about the 20/20 cricket - form or otherwise but I do know that New Zealand are better at cricket than they are at football!!
ONE A DAY- NEW ZEALAND
HORSES -TIMINTOUL SINGER TO PLACE BUT ODDS ARE VERY SHORT FOR REASONABLE INVOLVEMENT
