DAY 3

A superb day yesterday capped off with a 20/1 winner at the Curragh - much bigger price on BEtfair.
Well the new look Chelsea surprised and it was syanara to the win to nil! I wish the Special One would share his new expansive thinking with us poor punters!
On to today and the usual bad fare for a Monday but let's see if we can salvage anything
EACH WAY SELECTIONS
Superb yesterday with big priced winners and placed horses. Taking on the obvious market leaders, especially in maiden fillies races is a good policy and outlay when compared to potential rewards makes this worthwhile
215 STRATFORD
Hot zone at 1/3 in a novices hurdle event - I'll have Come into the space and Davidia each way
555 THIRSK - 5 furlong maiden dash and the market principles are not priced up to suggest a shoe in - Know no fear each way
655 THIRSK - 6/1 the field - worth the speculative each way bet on the 2 nearest the outsiders in the betting forecast - Baby BArry and Beamsely BEacon
745 WINDSOR - Waymark and Indigo Rose each way - 3rd and 5th betting forecast favs
300 WOLVES - Snake Hips and Cool isle each way in a seller where the fav can be taken on
PLACE ONLY BETTING
LEt down by Mr Muffin Man yesterday
535 Ballinrobe - Cheddar Island - we should get slightly better place odds because its 7 runners
515 Stratford - Wheelavit
300 Wolves - Annambo
PROGRESSIVE STAKING
2 from 5 yeaterday is perfectly acceptable for this progressive staking experiment
515 STRATFORD - Wheelavit
555 Thirsk - Sophies Girl
815 Windsor - Down the brick
300 Wolves - Annambo
Not too confident in theses- ready preference is to use the live market but I want to see how it goes with just the betting forecast
LAYS
Biggest field of the day
635 Ballinrobe - LAdy causeway - 16 runners
835 Ballinrobe - Dicey dancer - 16 runners
655 Thrisk - Blue Empire, Fairy monarch - 18 runners

Don't forget to check the betting forecast fav in the 1st race of the day

MY LAYS
I will use only the betting forecast here for selection purposes and look to get favs in predicted competitive fields - yesterday was great with all going down
500 Wolves - Desert Hawk
545 Windsor - Pixies Blue - 6/1 the field and very tight knit at the head of the market
645 Windsor - Evident pride
655 Thirsk - Blue empire
245 Stratford - Salesin

The idea for all of these is to trade in running because it's highly likely the prices will rise above their pre race backing price at some stage during the race - each race looks competitive enough judging by the betting forecast only so I am hopeful of success

SIMPLEX
2 wins for the simplex on the first day of the season. Begins again on Wednesday

It was nice to get the under 2.5 goal trade in the Man Utd match yesterday - you just got the feeling reading would continue where they left off last year and so it proved.
