5/12

Never so Blue won at 5/4 - congratulations to Confidentiality on the 4 timer - watch out for its next run in handicap company in similar class - one to avoid I would suspect. That's the thing with these multiple winners - the winning sequence will end, it's just determiningwhich race! and I was a race too early. Keisha Keyleigh placed for each way backers and we got our stakes back.
No problems at all with the under 2.5 goals in the Milan Game
1230 AYR
BETTING FORECAST: Evs Millie The Filly, 5/1 Johnny Roche, 10/1 Stand On Me, Tom´s Toybox, Za Beau, 12/1 Roschal, 14/1 Royal Melbourne, 20/1 Cavers Glen .
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The standout here is MILLIE THE FILLY (nap) who showed much improved form at this course last week and is going to be hard to beat in similar conditions from the same mark.Another "hard to beat" selection with a decent price gap, BUT we have heavy ground at Ayr - will you take 4/5 in heavy ground?

Life will be difficult in heavy ground at Ayr and I'll swerve this card
120 CATTERICK
BETTING FORECAST: 11/4 Cyborg De Sou, 4/1 Clemax, Polar Gale, 7/1 Count Fosco, 8/1 Fairlight Shadow, Notaproblem, 10/1 Sparkling Taff, 33/1 Carndale, Mrdeegeethegeegee, Young Blade .
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Clemax is likely to struggle for pace round here on decent ground, while the trip is an obvious concern with Cyborg de Sou. Several others are hard to make a case for and it could be worth chancing FAIRLIGHT SHADOW.At least 3 can be discounted at big odds, leaving 7. WIth 3 miles ahead of us in a handicap chase, it may be worth leaving the market leaders , so Count Fosco for me each way

720 KEMPTON
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Ike Quebec, 9/4 River Bounty, 11/4 Her Name Is Rio, 14/1 Coole Dodger, Mairead´s Boy, 25/1 Zahwah, 66/1 Little Finch ,
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The drop back to 6f should not be a problem for IKE QUEBEC and this proven Polytrack performer is preferred to Her Name Is Rio, who has to prove this surface is suitable, and River Bountlooks like 3 to concentrate on, so Her name is Rio each way for me
Off putting isa the fact this is a claimer

820 KEMPTON
BETTING FORECAST: 11/10 Pearl, 4/1 Red Current, Soldier Field, 5/1 Satindra, 16/1 Snake Hips, 25/1 Beckenham´s Secret, 33/1 The Slider, 66/1 Flashin Amber, Sadler´s Hill .
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: PEARL stays well, is honest and comes out best at the weights, so looks the safest option ahead of the talented-but-quirky Red Current.[A possible short list of 4? Soldier Field each way in another claimer

140 PLUMPTON
BETTING FORECAST: 1/2 Iwillrememberyou, 7/1 Ruling Reef, 9/1 Venice Road, 12/1 Spider Boy, 16/1 Abit Irish, 20/1 Lady Korrianda, 25/1 Kinetic Power, Peephole, 33/1 Wildbach .
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The shorter trip and tighter track may not be ideal, but IWILLREMEMBERYOU was hugely impressive at Towcester on Saturday and should have little difficulty following up. Ruling Reef may be the one to chase him home.[SR]
Soft ground and a long trip means we can hopefully approach this race from an each way perspective - Would you take 4/9 in this ground? Good luck! Spider Boy is a speculative each way bet - I'm hoping soft ground produces some casualties amongst those ahead of SPider Boy in the betting forecast. Not my usual each way price but worth a go.

FOOTY
Benefitted yesterday from more clear cut selections - I wish I'd put up the Leeds Half time/full time at 2.04 on Betfair - I only chose this after reading the match report in the previous game where Leeds held seige to the score yet only managed the one goal. Oh well!
Today's obvious starting point is Newcastle entertaining the Arse. One pattern of Arsenal's game recently has been goals after about the 70th minute mark.
I don't know why Newcastle are in such trouble - looking at the squad there is some quality there and in MArtins a real goal threat.
4/7 about an Arsenal away win is very appealing though given their first half performance recently.
Can we compare Liverpool's performance with the predicted performance of another of the top 4? If we can then Newcastle are in trouble. A lay of NEwcastle will cover the draw.
I will try an over 2.5 goal trade as Villareal take on Elfsborg, but will abort the bet if Villareal DO NOT field a strong starting line up ( remember Getafe!)
