17/12

Foreman placed 3rd for each way backers so stakes returned yet again. Jazz messenger won at 2/1.The 2 under 2.5 goals trade were both successful and allowed plenty of opportunity to trade out for the trader, or let run for the gambler. I suppose I'll have to give PAtrice Evra a pat on the back for ensuring unders, Van De Saar looked like he'd been on the mulled wine! Good results though

305 AYR
BETTING FORECAST: 15/8 Viking Rebel, 2/1 Berwick Law, 11/2 Original Fly, 10/1 Justtheoneforyou, Simonside, 12/1 Etxalar, 14/1 Sadler´s Cove, 16/1 Carrick Dhu, 20/1 Inverlochy Lad, 33/1 Meertrix, 66/1 Mey Clouds, 100/1 Tinto Verano, 200/1 Moneamon, Pendragon, 300/1 Clovella.
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Nicky Richards and Len Lungo have farmed this race in the last five seasons and they have two of the major players here with VIKING REBEL and Berwick Law. The selection should have more to offer after an impressive debut defeat of Etxalar, while Berwick Law won the bumper on this card last year and will appreciate the return to this trip.[PJ]
First race of interest because 7 horses are priced 40/1 or bigger.Original Fly and Justtheoneforyou each way here in the hope this race isn't simply a 2 horse race as the ebtting suggests

155 PLUMPTON
BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Mutual Respect, 5/2 Notabotheronme, 3/1 The Apprentice, 10/1 Dawn Silk, 25/1 Cullahill, Mister Pink, 33/1 Ballygalley Bob, 50/1 Gem Mill, 100/1 Shortgate Lane, 150/1 Come On Jim.
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: MUTUAL RESPECT is well worth another chance on this more suitable ground, with Notabotheronme and The Apprentice preferred of the others.[EMW]

This looks priced to be between the front 3. Soft ground is a concern. I will chance Dawn silk each way here though 10/1 in the betting forecast now 5/1 early showA quiet day today and I get the feeling that concentrating on the upcoming football on Tuesday and Wednesday (UEFA CUP) will provide better betting opportunities than the horses which are proving frustrating with the threat of changeable ground throwing up many surprises.
