21/5 EVENING UPDATE

Well I'm happy to see Karashar under the Champion jockey win his race so he pressure is off me as far as my one a day is concerned.
As to he update , is there any new information to strengthen or otherwise possible selections?

530 WETHERBY
BETTING FORECAST: 11/8 Always Bold, 2/1 Tiger O´Toole, 9/2 Ashmolian, 10/1 Tribe, 16/1 Amir Pasha, 20/1 Miss Carroll.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: The free-running Tiger O'Toole has the ability to win but may struggle to get the cover he needs and is passed over in favour of ALWAYS BOLD, who's produced more than enough on Flat and over hurdles to make a big impact at this level.[BDO]

Well this race now looks interesting with the field reduced to 4 and a clear outsider at 25/1 should make this a 3 horse race.
As you saw with Coq Hardi yesterday it was only a matter of time until the inevitable faller cam
e and I have already taken a chance today on a poor maiden hurdle
McCoy is on a hatrick for the day onboard Tiger O'Toole who locks horns with always bold and cannot be separated in the betting.
The problem here is Ashmolian who. despite a quote of 7/1 cannot be dismissed a all given recent placed form.
Tiger O'Toole has the incentive of the harick bid and Always Bold comes from a stable in form
Still 3 fight for 2 places
1.21 and 1.32 the front 2 to place

550 SANDOWN
Above limit remains odds on but we must remind ourse;ves of the following
1) 5 furlong
2) 2 year olds
3) maiden
4) bad draw
5) only one run
6) 5 debutants
and we see how much negativity there is even expecting the horse to beat only 5 of the 8 to place
1.2 to place

BETTING FORECAST: 2/1 Mirrored, 4/1 Roar Of Applause, 8/1 Barbarian, Everynight, 10/1 Love Pegasus, 12/1 Fanditha, Thin Red Line, 14/1 Peking Prince, 20/1 Moon Lightning, 25/1 Al Sabaheya, Davids Matador, Fajita, Queen Of Thebes.

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Roar Of Applause is in rude health at present and has to be respected, while Everynight is another to consider back on easier ground. MIRRORED (nap) looked one to keep on the right side of on his reappearance though and there were some fair sorts in behind him on that occasion.[PSm]

4th and 5th provisional favs non runners - 2 less fancied rivals.Mirrored now evens in places here but is this the Dettori factor?
11 runner handicap and competitive as usual. Need I remind you of another handicap good thing Kayf Aramis yesterday (unplaced)
1.31 to place is enticing though

835 SANDOWN
I still can't get away from that hugely eye catching price gap for Leocarno with Dettori on board again but note the following
1) the horse has only run (and won) once in October 2008 ( go back to that listed race today -the 2 fancies in that were coming off the back of lengthy layoffs (400 Goodwood) and both horses were UNPLACED
2) this is a handicap and the shorties are vulnerable (reminders again of Kayf Aramis -very similarly bullish in the market but had the other Frank onboard)
3) 2nd and 3rd in the market have won their last 2 races each-now we can view that as a positive (-multiple handicap winners carry extra weight to stop the winning run) or a negative ( proven winning form and proven winning form las month NOT 6+ months ago)
1.26 to place

With all of the above I am happy I got my one a day early and I hope you followed. The only alternative I see today is in the Boca Juniors game 1.23 for over 1.5 goals (with trading in mind)
Were I to have a play in the horseracing 530 -follow the fav BUT trade I think, but I reiterate that Boca would be the ones tonight
