23 AUGUST

Broadband is back up , and I missed out on Authorized and Peeping Fawn at York in the last few days. It was amazing the slating Authorized got for not beating Notnowcato - strange as he won HIS race on his side . Oh well - onto today
EACH WAY BETS
USing just the betting forecast I'll try to find some nice prices in the hope they'll place or better win!
610 CHESTER - BETTING FORECAST: 11/2 Plane Painter, 6/1 Prelude, 13/2 Bienheureux, Red Lancer, 8/1 Acuzio, Stretton, 9/1 Luna Landing, Sporting Gesture, 10/1 Thorny Mandate, 11/1 Advancement, 14/1 King´s Ransom, 16/1 Mr Aitch.
Look how tight the market is - these prices are not the usual prices for outsiders. 16/1 - this indicates a wide open affair. I will ignore the first 5 in the betting here and chance Luna Landing and Sporting gesture each way - both sitting mid table , hinting that they will be competitive for a place at least
810 CHESTER - BETTING FORECAST: 11/10 Red Blooded Woman, 7/4 Wells Of Badr, 12/1 Johnston´s Glory, Slip Star, 16/1 Musical Chimes, 20/1 Lady Johanna, 25/1 Chicamia, Little Red Roaster, Littlemissdynamite, 50/1 Briery Blaze, 100/1 Mistblack.
Maiden fillies race and 2 quite obvious candidates - I'll opt for Slip star each way incase one of the main protagonists falters
725 FONTWELL - BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Knocker Jock, 4/1 Bollitree Bob, 5/1 Alina Rheinberg, 9/1 Nesnaas, 10/1 We Got Him, 12/1 Beautiful Night, Royal Stardust, 16/1 Pan The Man, 25/1 Tashkandi, 33/1 Secret Glen. Nesnass here eachw ay for me - just outside the obvious rivals to the market leader at 4/1 and 5/1 hinting that he may be competitive for a place
225 LINGFIELD - BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Perfect Paula, 3/1 Zippi Jazzman, 10/1 Splash The Cash, 14/1 Attribution, 16/1 Flying Indian, Jennifers Joy, Lord Deevert, Maybe I Wont, Structura, 20/1 Evenstorm. A 5 furlong nursery - I will opt for 3rd and 5th betting forecast favs here in Splash the cash and Flying Indian
215 STRATFORD - BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Dream Castle, 7/2 Not Today Sir, 8/1 Arabian Moon, Pips Assertive Way, 11/1 The Glen, 12/1 Be Positive, 14/1 Monte Major, 16/1 Worth A Glance, 20/1 Adjami, 25/1 Elaala, Hunting Lodge, 33/1 Pop Gun, Thieves´Glen, 40/1 Lunch Was My Idea, Sargentos, 50/1 Grey Shark. -The Glen and Be Positive each way - just outside the main 4 contenders
545 STRATFORD - BETTING FORECAST: 8/11 Super Fly, 5/1 Magical Wonderland, 6/1 Baker´s Girl, 11/1 Nelson, 12/1 Themanfromfraam, 14/1 Ushnu, 25/1 Another Chat, Max Yasgar, 33/1 Aliby, 66/1 Simplyirresistible. A 6 horse race if betting forecast is accurate so any of the 6 only have 3 to beat to place. Nelson and Ushnu(just before the preceived outsiders) for me
425 YORK - BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Wannabe Posh, 11/4 Winter Sunrise, 11/2 Brisk Breeze, 10/1 Gull Wing, Mussoorie, 12/1 Les Fazzani, 14/1 Dance Of Light, Dash To The Front, Guilia, 20/1 High Heel Sneakers, Oh Glory Be, 500/1 Restless Soul. With such high quality horses on show, it's difficult to oppose the market leaders - here though the betting forecast indicates Brisk Breeze looks competitive to at least place.

PROGRESSIVE STAKING/PLACE ONLY BETS
Are there any selections today of the calibre of United NAtions?
There may be an opportunity in the 810 Chester for Wells pof Badr to at least plce in what , on apper, is a 2 horse raec, but selecting which of the 2 market leaders will run as their price suggests is difficult.
FONTWELL - I am always mindful if selecting a good bet that my money has to go over obstacles and sometimes over obstacles over 2miles 6! - no ta!
400 STRATFORD
BETTING FORECAST: 4/5 Tension Point, 5/2 Strikeen, 9/1 Realy Naughty, 14/1 Marquee, 16/1 Citrus Chief, 33/1 Cobra King, Homecroft Boy, L´Oiseau De Feu, 40/1 Good Luck Chip, 50/1 Art Of Being, Clare Park, 66/1 Best Warning, For Eileen, Lap Of The Gods .

SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Most of the Flat refugees already look in the last chance saloon, the most notable exception being Strikeen. He could prove a live contender but TENSION POINT has the form in the book and a return to the effort he produced over C&D last month would make him hard to beat.[JN]
Those words "hard to beat" again! This looks like a good place only opportunity for Tension Point. You will notice Strikeen is very close in the betting forecast, and one thing I look for is a significant price gap ( eg United Nations evens - 2nd fav 7/1)
This means that I am reluctant to have Tension Point for the win.
We have missed the big price gap horses at York like Peeping Fawn and the banker place only bet in Authorized.
There are no candidates although there is a noteiceable price gap in the ,erm 20 runner 135 York
BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Dark Angel, 9/1 Cosmic Art, 10/1 Dedo, Drawnfromthepast, New Jersey, Philario, 12/1 Berbice, Cee Bargara, Gypsy Baby, Johar Jamal, 25/1 Mister Hardy, 33/1 Apollo Shark, Grylls, Pelican Prince, Quest For Success, 50/1 Fast Feet, Mazzanti, Nine Stories, Russian Reel, 66/1 Mymumsaysimthebest. Dark Angel's price gap is worth noting but so too is the size of the field
