I personally will be trying over 2.5 goals but with only a trade in mind if 1-0 early or 2-0 early as the 1.36 will then plummet. Safety first though today I think.
what a pity I could not advise in play in yesterday's selection - 1-0 early concession, red card to Orient and 2-0 by 54 minutes afforded good speculative trading (laying Droylesden). 77 and 89 minute goals from Orient would have secured a good trade to compensate the match odd losses.
As a standalone bet, an unfortunate loser and Orient asserted by the 93rd minute - 3 minutes too late and kicked on for an 8-2 final win.
A frustration as Barca won, there were goals galore in the Twente/Spurs match, and the Malaysia match, over 1.5 goals in the Lyon match ( which was more galling as this match fitted in to a strong over 2.5 goals strategy I have)
2pm -Levski Sofia v Beroe - 1.31 home - Bulgarian Cup match - 2 Division 1 sides make little appeal here.
4pm - Al Wahda v Hekari Utd - 1.32 home - FIFA Club World Championship - UAE Football League Division 1 versus a team playing in the Oceania Champions League which I suspect is a little weaker than its European Cousin.
Impossible to compare either team or evaluate relative performances suffice to say there cannot be much competitiveness with the Oceania CL teams. In running - can we take our cues from the +2 asian handicap quote given which gives clear dominance to Al Wahda who, it is hoped, will win by 2 or 3 clear goals.
1.22 over 1.5 goals is surely a runner in a match such as this?

745pm - Arsenal v Partizan Belgrade - 1.11 home - top of the Premiership and through to the next stages of the Champions League, this is likely to be an easy enough win for Arsenal at home. 11 scored and 1 conceded in 2 Champions League fixtures at the Emirates augurs well, and as always with 1.11 odds, we should expect goals. 1.36 over 2.5 goals and 1.41 halftime/fulltime enhance the match odds. can Arsenal score 1 goal to no reply in the first 45 minutes at home? It was 1-1 at half time when the 2 met at Belgrade.
Arsenal have won 8, lost 4 in last 12 matches in all competitions, Partizan have won 9, lost 3 in their last 12. In good form but the Serbian league is not up to Premiership standard by any stretch of the imagination.
Arsenal have scored 2 in each of their last 3 home matches, and scored 5 and 6 in their last 2 Champions League encounters at home.

745pm - Real Madrid v Auxerre - 1.4 home - a dead rubber for Real Madrid this match with the Special One likely to ring the changes. Will Real be as good as Barca were yesterday with their 2nd string?
Real have won their last 12 at home ( could be more but that is as far as www.futbol24.com will go) and the Special One does not lose at home ( at least in the league) Is this set to continue this evening?

BETTING FORECAST: 4/6 Pirate Chest, 9/2 One Up One Down, 6/1 Last Crusade, 8/1 Alte Brucke, 10/1 Campas Bay, 16/1 Balmont Mast.Real have won their last 12 at home ( could be more but that is as far as www.futbol24.com will go) and the Special One does not lose at home ( at least in the league) Is this set to continue this evening?

Pirate Chest represents Aiden O'Brien and has experience so must be factored into calculations here despite only 2 places available.
240 LINGFIELD
BETTING FORECAST: 13/8 Norman Orpen, 4/1 Whispering Spirit, 6/1 Requisite, 7/1 Headache, 15/2 Yankee Storm, 10/1 Dingaan, 12/1 Salient, 16/1 Rapid Water,
DIOMED VERDICT: The drop back to 7f is not expected to inconvenience the lightly raced NORMAN ORPEN and he can add to his Kempton win on his debut for his new connections at the expense of Whispering Spirit. Norman orpen is the one they fancy in the betting market, now all red and 5/4 for this class 4 handicap. Of concern is the fact the outsider is only 12/1 which signals a tight old handicap. 5/4 - - - - -6/1 price gapper and Frank Spencer booked . 250 KEMPTON BETTING FORECAST: 11/8 Copper Canyon, 3/1 Duke Of Florence, 4/1 Ivan Vasilevich, 9/1 Heavenly Music, 12/1 Larimar, 14/1 Rosaria, 16/1 If What And Maybe, 40/1 Blaze On By.

BETTING FORECAST: 4/9 Alexander Pope, 11/2 Elusive Express, 6/1 Hope Of An Angel, 8/1 Bendzoldan, Final Recovery, 100/1 Samsieur.
Price gapper for the Aiden O'Brien and son partnership must really be expected. This is a 2 year old race for 2 places only. The horse has not run on the all weather and O'Brien jr is a 5 lb claimer and no Johnny Murtagh!
350 KEMPTON
BETTING FORECAST: 10/11 Red Rhythm, 4/1 Papageno, 9/2 Durgan, 8/1 Co Dependent, 14/1 Intriguing Look, 25/1 But Beautiful, Gessabelle, 33/1 Dancing Again, Quahadi.
DIOMED VERDICT: Unexposed RED RHYTHM was a clear second at Wolverhampton last time and has strong claims for an in-form yard. 4/7 - - - - 6/1 price gapper here in Red Rhythmn who has run on the all weather ( Wolves) - the ground is described as Standard and I hope the Racing Post have this as accurate. This is a maiden race but historically Cumani price gappers in maidens have run well. There are only 5 horses under 20/1 SHORTLIST 4pm - Al Wahda v Hekari Utd - 1.32 home - how confident can I be in the market who gives Hekari a 2 goal minimum start? A team playing in the Oceanic league must surely face some dross! 745pm - Arsenal v Partizan Belgrade - 1.11 home - 5 and 6 in Arsenal's last 2 home Champions League matches. They are priced to replicate these scorelines or at least go near. No Fabregas genius to unlock defences. Will he be missed with Van Persie threatening a return to action. Would like to see Chamakh and Nasri on the field - the 2 clear top scorers with 15 in total for Arsenal. Over 2.5 goals is tempting at 1.36 as is halftime/fulltime is 1.41. 240 LINGFIELD - Norman Orpen is 1.28 to place and quite clearly the only horse under evens in the place only market. We must acknowlege the horse is a price gapper 5/4 - - - - 6/1 but my concern is the 12/1 quote for the outsider which signals a tight race. 250 KEMPTON - a perceived 3 horse race with Copper Canyon and Ivan Vaselivich interesting me. The latter is the market mover in the field but is also very exposed. Copper Canyon has an extra furlong. There are 2 debutants at 4th and 5th fav priced in double figures. Around 1.22 for Copper Canyon 300 DUNDALK - Alexander Pope has not run for 125 days and is an all weather debutant but will this stop him finishing in the first 2 places? Around 1.14 in an illiquid market. 350 KEMPTON - Red Rhythmn has hardened into 4/7 with next best 5/1 for this maiden. Luca Cumani's charges, when similarly profiled , have run very well . A 6 furlong maiden and only 2 runs so still relatively inexperienced. 1.13 to place and clearly favourite in the place only market. SHORTLIST OF THE SHORTLIST 745pm - Arsenal v Partizan Belgrade - 1.11 home - good news is that Arsenal need to win to ensure top spot and thus avoid one of the big boys in the next round. My only consideration is whether or not we enhance the 1.11 odds with an over 2.5 goals ( over 3.5 goals?) bet or a halftime/fulltime Arsenal/Arsenal bet. There is nothing as gauling though as a draw at halftime and comprehensive 2nd half win for HT/FT bettors! I would consider the trading option with these enhanced bets ( yes you can tradde the HT/FT bet by using the Half Time market if Arsenal score in the first half. 250 KEMPTON - can we trust the betting market here which signals a 3 horse race with the 3 under 14/1. Copper Canyon is up 1 furlong today and favourite after 2 2nd places. Ivan Vaselivich is the interesting one, being nibbled into 5/2 but looking exposed. A 2 year old maiden. 4th and 5th favs are debutants ( and naturally could be anything ) but are priced to play no part in the finish. 1.22 and 1.4 for the front 2 to place. I hate these types of races where there are 2 good horses and I have to pick one to place - the twice placed going up in trip or the exposed market mover? We have to assume that these 2 will both place. |
