Ataabas PRide won at 1/2 and Angel Dreamer came 2nd. I did hint at the likelihood of a competitive affair with this one.
Bad day with the big prices but it takes one 20/1 winenr to knock these unplaced horses for 6. It'll come sometime. Typical tricky Monday yesterday
EACH WAY
230 BEVERLEY
BETTING FORECAST: 7/2 Eager Diva, 4/1 Synergistic, 9/2 Prince Kalamoun, 5/1 City Hustler, 11/2 Flying Time, 8/1 Reel Buddy Blaze, 10/1 Bobal Girl, 25/1 Montefiore, 50/1 Blazing Mask, 66/1 Pret A Tout.
I will keep concentrating on these maidens The betting forecast indicates a tight and competitive affair at 7/2, 4/1, 9/2, 5/1, 11/2 - very tight indeed. I will go for Bobal Girl just before the perceived outsiders
330 BEVERLEY
BETTING FORECAST: 3/1 Suits Me, 4/1 Ahlawy, 6/1 Smugglers Bay, 13/2 Motafarred, 10/1 Gloucester, Our Teddy, 12/1 Neil´s Legacy, 14/1 Regent´s Secret, 16/1 El Dececy, 20/1 Dragon Slayer, 25/1 Little Jimbob, Riley Boys.
I'll go for the 2 10/1 shots here in the hope they will be competitive for the place Gloucester and Our Teddy
400 BEVERLEY
BETTING FORECAST: 4/1 Making Music, 5/1 Kings College Boy, 11/2 Lake Chini, 6/1 Hotham, 13/2 Raccoon, 7/1 Never Without Me, 10/1 Paddywack, 12/1 Henry Hall, 14/1 Cornus, Miacarla, 25/1 Steel City Boy, 100/1 Golband, Howards Princess.
A 5 furlong sprint, and with question marks regarding the principles with ground and draw again I can speculate on Cornus and Miacarla just before the perceived outsiders
415 GALWAY
BETTING FORECAST: 4/6 Wassily Kandinsky, 5/1 Final Flashback, 6/1 Mutqan, 8/1 King Of Rome, 10/1 Western Winner, 14/1 Dealmaker Frank, Kaprun, Mon Champion, 20/1 Quetzalcoatl, 25/1 Bolt Up, 33/1 Bombolini, 50/1 Buyasyoufly.
An O'BRien /Fallon hot pot ought to ensure inflated prices amongst rivals, so Western Winner and King of Rome for me
140 LINGFIELD
A race of imponderables with a short priced fav whos never raced before - Lavender and LAce and Vallani each way
210 LINGFIELD

Maiden fillies - Qauayed and Capefly each way
PRICE GAPS
415 GALWAY
BETTING FORECAST: 4/6 Wassily Kandinsky, 5/1 Final Flashback, 6/1 Mutqan, 8/1 King Of Rome, 10/1 Western Winner, 14/1 Dealmaker Frank, Kaprun, Mon Champion, 20/1 Quetzalcoatl, 25/1 Bolt Up, 33/1 Bombolini, 50/1 Buyasyoufly.
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: WASSILY KANDINSKY will not need to improve from his run at the festival here over five weeks ago in order to open his account. The son of Montjeu took a while to warm to his task before running on strongly in the closing stages to finish a neck second to the warm favourite Unwritten Rule, in the process drawing 5l clear of his shorter-priced stablemate Budapest. In the meantime, the form of his debut fourth behind Maryellen's Spirit has been boosted by runner-up Curtain Call in securing a fine Group 2 second behind New Approach.\n A low draw is not ideal for Wassily Kandisky
An encouraging write up to match the price gap. NEgative is the fact it is a maiden. The form looks good although it must be said the horse has had only 2 runs Poor draw but how significant will the draw be over 1mile?
I will back the horse if the price gap is replicated in the live market and the price is 4/6 or thereabouts
450 LEICESTER
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Not much to go on in the way of form and the betting should be informative with big stables represented by newcomers. Morestead will be a factor if fulfilling debut promise and St Jean Cap Ferrat is a likely improver, but IBN KHALDUN is the only one with up-coming Group race engagements and likely to be hard to beat with a promising run behind him.[FC] |
A very significant price gap and those magic words "likely to be hard to beat" BUT there are 5 debutants and 4 one time out open to improvement types.
Again I will take a chance here on the market leader who I hope will be around evens due to the profile of the race ( ie a few unknown quantities and a price based on reputation and future engagements)
140 LINGFIELD
ETTING FORECAST: 15/8 Insaaf, 6/1 Magical Fantasy, Red Icon, 13/2 Exodia, 8/1 Blue Rhapsody, Riverscape, 10/1 Lavender And Lace, 14/1 Vallani, 20/1 Nouvelle Nova, Sue´s Hawk, 100/1 Latimer House, Mia Haria .
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: Tricky to call with no real solid form to work with. Most of these are likely to excel over longer distances next year but INSAAF is bred to be sharper than most and, with her stable in good form right now, she may be up to the task.[AWJ] |
210 LINGFIELD
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: THOUGHT IS FREE wasn't beaten at all far in the Lowther despite finishing only eighth and she should be off the mark here. Private Code may be the one to cause her most problems.[AWJ] |
Yet another short price in a maiden race but the p[rice gap is near what I would like although the kind of price gap found with Ibn Khaldun is the IDEAL
240 LINGFIELD
BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Lord Of Dreams, 5/1 Birkside, 6/1 Give Evidence, 10/1 Hamilton House, Miss Porcia, Mr Napoleon, 12/1 Sekula Pata, 14/1 Fairly Honest, 16/1 Veba, 20/1 Fulvio, Ron In Ernest, 25/1 Mamichor, 33/1 Kastan, Rose Muwasim .
SPOTLIGHT VERDICT: LORD OF DREAMS has been struggling to get his head back in front but he's at least running well at present and this drop in class could be just the ticket.[AWJ] |
A drop in class and a decent price although a price gap , again, not in the same league as Ibn Khaldun
- No hard to beat in the verdict though
A tricky day for the price gaps today with a number of short priced horses based on a single run or potential future engagements in races where there are debutants and others open to improvement. If I had to pick one for the day to win only, then for me Ibn Khaldun is the one - as already mentioned I am hopefully of an SP around the evens mark which is indicative of the fact that there are some potential unknown quantities
.
If I'm looking for a better price, then Lord of Dreams is the one I think, provided the price gap remains in the live market environment and Lord of Dreams is positively backed for this drop oin class
