From a horse racing perspective, Ermine Sea looks to have an outstanding place only chance given the non runners
If you put faith in SPotlight Ireland, then Chevalier Country is" close to unopposable" and it will be a" colossal shock" if Apt Approach does not win (so therefore his place chances are enhanced !!)

3 out of 3 yesterday - Blue Tomato consented to win a race after 4 2nds and the money for $475,000 Boscage proved decisive. Shaktar also won 2-1 so plenty of opportunity for the one a day
Now I woldn't normally entertain a maiden debutant who has never run on the allweather but I built up a good case - a $475,000 purchase so I'm guessing this horse won't end up in banded stakes races. Fanning/Johnston know their onions. 2 clear outsiders at huge odds reducing a field to 3 and Boscage well backed all day.

Izset Star another market mover sub 4/1 who won at 4/1!

Can these be discounted? Of those remaining, the Johnston/Fanning Boscage is odds on and backed BUT is a debutant with Onemix having just the one run being a near market leader.
Dare we take the chance with this debutant beating at least one of Onemix or Pyrus Time to place - if so 1.3 to place may be a risk worth taking
450 WOLVES - Blue Tomato is a consistent placer , finishing 2nd 4 times on the trot - only him and Imprimus are under 10/1 BUT will Blue Tomato place again or bomb out in another claimer? Will Blue and Imprimus both be placed? 1.34 to place shows again that this is no gimme
And that's it today in a day where I feel very uneasy getting involved at all.
ALTERNATIVES - Shaktar are 1/5 away from home to Illichevets - 1.25 on Betfair -again I am going purely by price - away from home and 1/5 - must have an outstanding chance of winning

I may actually opt for Shaktar at 1.25. I know nothing about the teams save they were recent opponents of Spurs. Home team are 10/1 to win!! We will most likely be facing this lack of quality racing up to Festival time

410 LING must be the better probability wise surely and we must have faith that the money behind a newcomer to 1) racing 2) the all weather is warranted and the $475,000 can at least beat one of the likely rivals as the outsiders run as outsiders
