31/8

Should have done my research yesterday!! Germany ladies played a 2nd string, AND THIS INFO WAS AVAILABLE PRE MATCH AT WWW.FIFA.COM , hence the 0-0 at half time.
Had I known this, then perhaps I would have had a rethink
But no harm done 1-0 win
There was a great 0-60 handicap price gapper in Vital Point yesterday for anyone searching for a horse to place back, and he won.
On to today, and I believe it's bank holiday in the UK so no doubt TONS of racing
As it's a little early, I'll start with the footy because Barca make their debut this La Liga season and seeing Real Madrid winning they need to stay close to them points wise.
Dinamo Kiev v Metalurgs 1.29
Rosenborg v Lyn 1.24
Benfica 1.24 v Setabul
Barcelona 1.17 v Gijon
1.13 over 1.5 goals

US Open egins today and amazingly Federer cannot be backed on Betfair! Noone is willing to put any odds up for him!
Set 1 winner is 1.03 for Fed
Djokovic is 1.07 to win
Andy Murray is 1.04
Perhaps a double Djokovic and Murray?
Venus Williams is 1.1

Horse racing today looks loaded on quantity rather than quality
215 NEWCASTLE
BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Mr Corby, 11/4 Caldercruix, 7/2 Cono Zur, 11/2 Unshakable Will, 16/1 Sixties Rock, Starry Mount, Stratton Banker, 33/1 Drubinca, Generoso, Vittachi, 66/1 Wing Forward.

DIOMED VERDICT: Caldercruix and Cono Zur are interesting newcomers who should be monitored closely in the betting. Of those with experience, MR CORBY makes the most appeal.

Only 4 under 16/1 - 1.37 Mr Corby to place

320 HUNTINGDON
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Press The Button, 7/2 Duty Free, 4/1 Choctaw Nation, 6/1 Seader, 13/2 Wester Ross, 10/1 Tollishill, 14/1 Director´s Chair, 20/1 Mid Valley, 25/1 Escardo, 50/1 Empire Seeker, 100/1 Shannon Weir, Wee Ziggy.

DIOMED VERDICT: PRESS THE BUTTON has already had a good summer on the Flat and is a potentially decent recruit to hurdling.

Duty Free 5/2 under McCoy who can hopefully enale this one to place yet again 1.4 to place but an illiquid market

325 NEWCASTLE
BETTING FORECAST: 13/8 She´s In The Money, 9/2 Dance Club, Sanvean, 13/2 Poppet´s Lovein, 9/1 Leonid Glow, 12/1 Hansomis, 14/1 Tina´s Best, 16/1 Carnival Dream.

DIOMED VERDICT: SHE'S IN THE MONEY (nap) looks ahead of the handicapper turned out before she's reassessed for last Wednesday's narrow defeat at Catterick.

Price gapper in a class 5 handicap. Sraight 8 here 1.31 to place

340 WARWICK
BETTING FORECAST: 11/4 King´s Parade, 3/1 New Christmas, 4/1 Dahaam, 9/2 Sea Dubai, 12/1 Sundream, 16/1 Ice Viking, Sierra Alpha, 20/1 Sefton Park, Sounds Of Thunder, 66/1 Antoella, Ellen Vannin, 100/1 Draco Boy.

DIOMED VERDICT: NEW CHRISTMAS, the only one with Group entries this autumn, is given a chance to make amends for his Yarmouth misadventure.

Hmm Betty, the horse has left me in the stalls. So said Frank Spencer after New Christmas's last run. In a race with only 4 under 12/1 it is hoped a new jockey can race this one to its potential - 1.29 to place New Christmas under Martin Dwyer

345 EPSOM
BETTING FORECAST: 4/5 Firebet, 13/8 Tranquil Tiger, 13/2 Midnight Cruiser, 40/1 Maxwil.

DIOMED VERDICT: Effectively a match between likely pacesetter Tranquil Tiger and FIREBET, with the younger, more progressive horse probably still open to improvement.

A 2 horse race? 1.14 the front 2 to place in a 50/50 race - well really a 3 horse race if we can get rid of Maxwil

405 CARTMEL
BETTING FORECAST: 11/10 River Ripples, 11/4 Getinbybutonlyjust, 11/2 Stoneriggs Merc, 17/2 Merry Path, 16/1 Feeling Peckish, 20/1 Dasher Reilly, Jballingall, 33/1 Iloveturtle, 50/1 Silver Dagger, 100/1 Good Man Again.

DIOMED VERDICT: RIVER RIPPLES (nap) bounded back to form last time and has a strong chance of following up in a weak contest.

Big move for Stoneriggs Merc for the Vaughan yard, now 7/4 but I am not too keen on a 7l claiming jockey taking over from a true pro -1.48 to place

440 CARTMEL
BETTING FORECAST: 6/4 Rockys Choice, 13/8 Spellchecker, 100/30 Wor Rom, 8/1 Madman, 33/1 Run Free, 66/1 Bocciani, 100/1 Bombie Boy, Night Reveller.

DIOMED VERDICT: SPELLCHECKER gets the marginal vote ahead of Rockys Choice and bumper winner Wor Rom.

Only 3 really under 16/1 should be the ones to concentrate on albeit in a maiden hurdle 1.13 Rockys to place in an illiquid market

SHORTLIST
From a horse racing perspective,325 Newcastle, 345 Epsom and 440 Cartmel are my 3 to focus on. I am drawn by the 345 Epsom in a race with a clear outsider leaving 3 horses and 2 places, but we need to e confident that the front 2 will be the ones to finish 1 and 2 .
Elsewhere, Venus Williams at 1.1 looks like a great bet in the US Open
Barcelona at 1.17 this evening should click into gear with ease and , if scoring first, trade at 1.04 or thereabouts . They really HAVE to win, at home, with Real winning last time out.
ONE A DAY
Must be Barcelona again at 1.17 to win this evening. 345 Epsom, Tranquil Tiger and Firebet are both 1.14 to place and should dominate this race. I would plump for the live market favourite here to place, but as things stand, it really is Barca as the very strong ONE A DAY bet

Sunday 30 August 2009

30/8

Delegator won as did Queen of Troy and Chelsea and Rangers
Again today, nice and quick. 1.15 for Germany ladies v Icelandic ladies today. The explanation behind this bet is at http://www.soccerbettingmoneymaker.blogspot.com/
Pure coincidence that there are a number of football one a dayers - it's just the way the cards have fallen -the key to success is the ONE strongest bet of the day.
Nice relaxing Sunday for me. I haven't looked at the racing - why don't you try it yourself and see if you can nail a place only bet or 2 yourself.

Saturday 29 August 2009

29/8

Swedish ladies - they're great! as Tony the Tiger would say.
Looks, today, again, as if another one a day selection is likely to come from the football. As long as they keep winning I really don't mind.

225 DUNDALK
BETTING FORECAST: 11/8 Queen Of Troy, 100/30 Nubar Boy, 11/2 Miss Faustina, 6/1 Rock Pipit, 7/1 One Set, 8/1 Chelsea Lately, 10/1 Dinger Belle, 12/1 Dreamalittledream, Sharp Steel, 16/1 Don´t Linger, Mianach, 20/1 Bahamian Dove, 33/1 Antonius Park, Nightsinwhitesatin,

No SP's yet, but Aiden O'Brien Queen of Troy should improve enough to at least place again

235 GOODWOOD
BETTING FORECAST: 6/4 Urban Poet, 4/1 King Of Wands, Mourilyan, 10/1 Classic Vintage, 12/1 Free Agent, Oasis Knight, Victoria Montoya, 500/1 Star Of Pompey.

DIOMED VERDICT: A taking performance from the highly promising URBAN POET could see him earn a supplementary ticket for the St Leger.

7 runners and 3 places here -3 under 10/1 should be the ones to concentrate on. Urban Poet for Frankie has the hint of price gapper about it but King of Wands and Mourilyan are close in the betting at time of writing

240 CARTMEL
BETTING FORECAST: 4/5 Invisible Man, 4/1 Any Currency, Shanballa, 9/1 Eastern Surprise, 16/1 Once Before, 25/1 Putitawayforayear, 66/1 Liz´s Dream, 250/1 Sawyer´s Gold.

DIOMED VERDICT: Some interesting contenders but INVISIBLE MAN gets a handy weight allowance and could be hard to beat.[Chris Wilson]

Only 3 under 10/1 in the betting (but it is only 915am) -soft ground the concern over 2 mile 6.

310 GOODWOOD
BETTING FORECAST: 10/11 Delegator, 7/4 Zacinto, 12/1 Mac Love, 14/1 Cesare, 20/1 Beacon Lodge, 50/1 Ordnance Row, 66/1 Smokey Oakey.

DIOMED VERDICT: The Guineas runner-up Delegator sets the standard but the highly promising ZACINTO can boost his trainer's fine record in this race.

Only 2 runners under 12/1 in this? Will they dominate? If not, who will falter as there is only 2 places

420 GOODWOOD
BETTING FORECAST: 6/4 Magic Lantern, 11/2 Ilston Lord, Kinky Afro, 9/1 Baltimore Clipper, 10/1 Cloudy City, Sandy Shaw, 14/1 Crunched, 16/1 Notorize, 20/1 Black Sapphire, Red Barcelona, 50/1 Dr Mathias, 66/1 Dinkie Short,

DIOMED VERDICT: Ilston Lord is a likely improver but MAGIC LANTERN remains the one to beat.

Head 2nd last time out is encouraging for Magic Lantern

445 BEVERLEY
BETTING FORECAST: Evs Present Alchemy, 9/2 Rainy Night, Sea Crest, 10/1 Gee Gina, 20/1 Rightcar Lewis, Romantic Bond, Tarus, 25/1 Alis Aquilae, Castlecarra, 33/1 Port Ronan.

DIOMED VERDICT: PRESENT ALCHEMY can build on recent close seconds to go one better in this weak maiden.

Price gapper in this maiden has had plenty of runs which is encouraging, including a couple of near misses

550 REDCAR
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Distinctive, 5/1 Fantastic Strike, Shi Shan, 7/1 Pepper Lane, 10/1 Cookie Galore, Melundy, 14/1 Emerald Glade, 20/1 Check The Anchor, Summa Cum Laude, 25/1 All Moving Parts, 33/1 House Of Rules, Timetowynagain, 100/1 Clumber Pursuits, Infinity World.

DIOMED VERDICT: DISTINCTIVE shaped with plenty of promise on her debut at York and won't have to better that effort by much to win this.

Price gapper but Sp's not up yet

SHORTLIST
Well Chelsea at 1.16 and Rangers similarly priced should both oblige today and look safer than the horses of which Delgator stands out
ONE A DAY
Chelsea at 1.16 should do it ( bit rushed as it starts in 5 mins)

Friday 28 August 2009

28/8

Odds nothing to write home about but emphatic is the word you'd use to describe Roma's demolition job. If only all one a day bets were that assured!
Both the 120 Newmarket, 235 Thirsk , 255 Newmarket, 310 Thirsk are characterised by one time out short priced maiden favourites and it's really a guessing game in picking which of these will replicae their initial promising run - remember they are 2 year olds and still learning.

245 FFOS LAS
BETTING FORECAST: 5/2 Sabre Hongrois, 11/4 Changing Lanes, 8/1 Prince Noora, 9/1 Havenstone, 10/1 Foxesbow, Moscow Mo Chuisle, Presentandcorrect, 14/1 Cresswell Ruby, 20/1 Invention, 25/1 Avoine, How Is It Going.

DIOMED VERDICT: CHANGING LANES has made a smooth transition to fences this summer and can follow up his latest ready Uttoxeter win. 1.39 to place
Changing Lanes runs for the Vaughan /Johnson partnership and is one of only 3 under 10/1

330 NMKT
BETTING FORECAST: 9/4 Treble Jig, 5/1 Lyric Poet, 6/1 Nizaa, 8/1 Notice Given, Pekan Star, 12/1 Suited And Booted, 14/1 Moonbalej, 16/1 Eltheeb, Royal Patriot, 20/1 Loden, 25/1 Painswick, 33/1 Best Show, Suntrap, 66/1 Captain Clint.

DIOMED VERDICT: Interesting to see what the market makes of the newcomers but TREBLE JIG looks likely to step up considerably on his debut run and should not be far away.

Another to join the list of one time outers - Ryan Moore/ Stoute, and odds on and "all red" 10/11 - - - - 6/1 price gap in the live market and yet again based on only one run! 1.3 to place

415 THIRSK
BETTING FORECAST: 7/4 Saga De Tercey, 5/1 Dolly Penrose, 6/1 Danzatrice, Inchpast, 8/1 Baan, Ragamuffin Man, 12/1 Sphinx, 20/1 Red Wine.

DIOMED VERDICT: The improver in the field is SAGA DE TERCEY (nap) and he can confirm the promise of his excellent second at York last time.

5/4 - - - 7/1 in the live betting market BUT the "outsider" is only 10/1 which relays the tight nature of this 2 mile stayers handicap 1.28 to place

650 NEWC
BETTING FORECAST: 10/11 Awesome Surprise, 5/2 El Ameen, 14/1 Dance Card, Tiddliwinks, 16/1 Fine Silk, Mr Rainbow, Tobrata, 20/1 Duke Of Bothwell, Pure Heir, 33/1 Cruciform, 50/1 Tongalooma, 100/1 Clanachy, Freddie Bolt.

DIOMED VERDICT: The well-bred AWESOME SURPRISE has shaped well on both starts and has been found a suitable opportunity to take centre stage today.

6/5 and 2/1 the front 2 and at least these maidens have had a couple of runs
Tiddliwinks the big mover 1.21 and 1.36 the front 2 to place

735 WEXFORD
BETTING FORECAST: 5/4 Themoonandsixpence, 7/2 Here Comes Sally, 6/1 Major Decision, 10/1 Rickardstown, 12/1 Montauk Highway, Recovery Man, 14/1 Ballylanigan, Barneys Honour, 16/1 Inoneearoutdother, Misty Isle, 20/1 Our Western Boy, Persisting, 25/1 Rossbro Hall, Take Your Mark, 33/1 Joey From Ardrahan,

A certain Ruby Walsh is riding at Ffos Las this afternoon and makes the effort to return for this ride on Themoonandsixpence. Take the hint? Market not formed yet

FOOTBALL
Swedish ladies convinced at 1/3 previously and are similarly priced to overcome the Azzuri 1.34 again exactly as before when they won convincingly
19:45 Barcelona vs Shakhtar 2/5
Those who saw the match against Man City ( which city won by a single goal) will have seen Barca in full flow, hitting the woodwork with venomous shots giving their 2nd string a game.
We will see the full force of Barca this evening and an attacking line up weakened slightly by Eto'o's absence and the unconvincing ( in my eyes) Ibrahimovich. Still this is mouthwatering and Barca are big at 2/5 in this Super Cup game. 1.41 on Betfair. 1.18 for over 1.5 goals is tradeable and it involves both sides.

SHORTLIST
735 Wexford is the only one that really appeals today simply because Ruby Walsh is returning from Ffos Las to Wexford, and it's not for the good of his health on a Friday evening.
Swedish ladies impressed at 1/3 and more of the same is expected at the same price. Italian ladies beat 10 man, erm, woman England 2-1
Sweden have not conceded in a long time so expectation is that if there was a goal, it would come to the Swedes.
Barca at 1.41 will be tempting tonight with a full squad out perhaps with their La Liga fixture moved to Monday evening to allow this PR exercise match to take place
ONE A DAY
I will chance the Swedes again today with the trading head on - hope they score first and get out after that - just hope the 1/3 quote is reminiscent of the 3-0 beating at 1/3 they handed out to the Ruskies last time

Thursday 27 August 2009

27/8

A bit too cautious yesterday with the horses despite both placing with ease. Silkeborg won 2-0 and I also personally got involved in the Spuds afte reading the team sheet at www.sportinglife.com - it was good reading! And they battered Donny as a team full of confidence should do.
I got 1.21 for Silkeborg which was very welcome indeed given the best odds I could have got when writing the blog was 1.16 - so paid a bit more than the bookie. All of the Danish shorties obliged yesterday and it is a thought at least with all EARLY ROUND CUP GAMES in whichever country they may be, that the shorties oblige - perhaps an accumulator bet in future?

On to today and already there's some juicy bets this evening on the football (agaiN!!) for the one a day with Roma standing out v Kosice ( they were 3-1 up in the away leg and managed somehow to end up dawing 3-3) This proves that they can score against Kosice and it also shows the possibility for us trading . 1.15 at present tells you that home advantage really should ensure Roma put this tie to bed. Goals look a good call too? 3-3 so Roma of course have the away goals and need to not mess around and quickly finish any hope Kosice have this evening

250 LINGFIELD
BETTING FORECAST: 11/4 Hawk´s Eye, 5/1 Navajo Nation, 13/2 Swift Chap, 7/1 Inis Boffin, Wilbury Star, 10/1 Squad, 12/1 Red Reef, 14/1 Pyrus Time, 16/1 Arashi, 20/1 Noble Dictator, Officer In Command, 25/1 Naheell.

DIOMED VERDICT: HAWK'S EYE (nap) looks a shrewd recruit for this yard after winning so well at Windsor and he can follow up under a penalty.

Now 6/4 for the Mike De Kock yard ,and 2nd fav out - a potential chance for victory ( and with it a place?) 1.36 to place

310 AYR
BETTING FORECAST: 11/8 Electric City, 4/1 Happy Dubai, 7/1 Hold On Tiger, 8/1 Fantastic Strike, 10/1 Hot Spark, 20/1 Goodison Goal, Kai Broon, Kristen Jane, 25/1 Fourlanends, Pavement Games, 33/1 Lilyannabanana, Sumay Buoy, 40/1 Shegarrdi.

DIOMED VERDICT: ELECTRIC CITY's 66-1 third in a Newmarket maiden last time gives her very strong claims at these advantageous weights in this weaker race, though a note of caution is advised on account of this ground being altogether different.

Soft ground here is the concern - as is the fact this is a maiden. Only 4 under 25/1 indicate potential deadwood and I am a little wary as to why Electric City was priced up at 66/1 originally - a flash in the pan that run? 1.28 to place

350 LING
BETTING FORECAST: 13/8 Rakaan, 5/2 Adele Blanc Sec, 8/1 Almadaa, 10/1 One Good Emperor, 12/1 Blushing, Flotate, 16/1 Calm Storm, 20/1 Foxtrot Delta, 25/1 Kildangan Girl, 33/1 Cat Hunter, 50/1 Casanova Kid, 100/1 R Woody.

DIOMED VERDICT: Rakaan is proving disappointing and ALMADAA looks a viable each-way alternative.

The market tells us 3 are under 14/1 - perhaps the ones to concentrate on - all characterised by their relative experience in maiden company. Adele is " all red" at 6/4 but has only had the one run - although Diomed sees Rakaan as disappointing the only blot to the horse's placed form came in class 1 company - this is class 6 indicating connections want a 1 in the form book quickly!1.26 and 1.29 the front 2 - I would opt for Rakaan's experience

410 AYR
BETTING FORECAST: 4/1 Hettie Hubble, 9/2 Future Gem, 6/1 Miss Pusey Street, Nimmy´s Special, 13/2 Pokfulham, 9/1 Calypso Girl, Duke Of Urbino, Kings Ace, 10/1 Nchike, 20/1 Fitzolini, 25/1 Fifth Amendment, 33/1 Madame Jourdain.

DIOMED VERDICT: In the hope that Monday's good run over 1m in heavy ground hasn't taken the edge off her, HETTIE HUBBLE is taken to make the most of a 5lb lower mark here. The return to 6f can help too.

Mention must be made of Pokfulam. now 9/4 in places and all red, albeit in a competitive handicap 1.63 to place

515 BELLEWSTOWN
BETTING FORECAST: 2/7 Lucky Wish, 5/2 Fairwood Bob, 20/1 Holy Road, 25/1 Barndeh, 33/1 Chasing Clouds, 50/1 Mister Castlefield, 100/1 Spot Hill.

Only 2 under 20/1 and heavy ground the concern but could this help the place only price? - Barry Geraghty a man you can trust
A very obvious choice of course based solely on the price ILLIQUID MARKET

FOOTBALL
I know this blog was originally place only betting, but it seems the footy is taking precedence - the reason? The focus is more on ONE A DAY - which means the best bet of the day rather than having to chose a place only selections on the horse racing

Aktobe v Werder Bremen is the first match of interest - 3-6 from the first round means 3 away goals for Aktobe so Werder not wholly safe. Looks another goalfest surely this evening? 1.43 for over 2.5 goals says it all , BUT this is NOT IN RUNNING

1.1 for Fulham to qualify looks standout with a 3-1 home win ( yes they have an away goal but all it takes tonight is a Fulham goal to leave Amkar with a mountain to climb. ) I like Fulham under Woy and expect a professional performance tonight - prices are considerably bigger I suppose given the proximity of the weekend.

CFR CLuj are 2/5 in places and have an away goal and home advantage tonight - priced to win

Fenerbahce take a 2-0 away goals lead home against Sion but the question is, will they be like Lyon and seek to kill the tie, or will they be like Stuttgart and go for a 0-0?

German ladies are 1.31 to beat the French dames today and, as we saw with Sweden, these short odds are generally accurate. A tradeable game perhaps with rading out after Germany score fist (hopefully)

Hamburg 5-1 awway goals lead exactly the same as Lyon -priced to win tonight but is there any incentive to perform?

Lille 1.4 to win - gulf in class between French and Belgian teams apparent last night with Lyon's stroll against Anderlecht

PSV take a 1-0 lead back to Holland and are 1.26 to seal things tonight - 1-0 is precarious and they are priced to nail this tie -NOT IN RUNNING

Roma are 1.14 - mentioned at blog start - should get the job done tonight having been 3-1 up at one stage last time. 3-3 means Kosice are still in this so expect a professional job tonight

Valencia at 1.27 (NOT in running) should have too much for Staebeck from a vasstly inferior league

ONE A DAY
Incentivised to get something out of tonight, Roma look good at 1.14 as the safest bet of the evening - already proven at 3-1 up against opposition, only to collapse under complacency(?) they should do the business tonight.
THere are many many opportunities tonight and Aktobe v Werder Bremen looks very enticing -the 1.57 Werder Win is tempting BUT THIS IS NOT IN RUNNING
Good luck with yoour choices. As tis is ONE A DAY, it is Roma for me

Wednesday 26 August 2009

26/8

Running a bit late as I'm trying to find a missing cat!!
Swedes did well yesterday for the one a day 3-0 and an early goal - trader's dream.
230 WaRWICK
BETTING FORECAST: 15/8 Marine Spirit, 7/2 Take Ten, 6/1 White Daffodil, 7/1 Ginger Grey, 8/1 Gundaroo, 10/1 Ever So Bold, 16/1 King´s Approach, 25/1 Cane Cat, 33/1 Azif, Lofthouse.

DIOMED VERDICT: MARINE SPRIT (nap) is the likeliest winner and Ever So Bold makes some appeal as an each-way alternative.

Straight 8 now and MArine Spirit to continue Godolphin good streak? Place at least? 1.18 signifies a degree of confidence here but this being a 2 year old nursery ( scene of my last losing bet on Gunner Lindley) leaves me thinking the footy is the way to go - AGAIN during this spell of poor racing

320 CATTERICK
BETTIN FGORECAST: 5/1 Harcas, Spiders Star, 6/1 Abstract Folly, Casual Garcia, Promise Maker, 8/1 Sir Sandicliffe, 10/1 Bright Sparky, Fell Pack, 12/1 Fenners, Snowberry Hill, 66/1 Treetops Hotel.

DIOMED VERDICT: HARCAS looked to have a bit in reserve when scoring at Redcar last time and he can follow up here off a 4lb higher mark.

Fav out bit why is 2nd fav as low as 6/4 - the gamble did not come off yesterday in a handicap - will this one? 1.34 to place for the gamble Spiders Star

430 WARWICK
BETTING FORECAST: 4/5 Asateer, 5/1 Herecomethegirls, Layer Cake, 10/1 Step Into Sunshine, 14/1 Love Call, Silvester, 33/1 Balzarine, 50/1 Lady Meg.

DIOMED VERDICT: HERECOMETHEGIRLS was bogged down in testing ground on her debut but is worth another chance on this forecast much quicker ground.

Odds on in this maiden and has had experience ( exposed perhaps?) 7 runners and 3 places(?) - only 3 under 16/1

What a poor day - 7 runner races (2 places) or tricky handicaps or maidens -any hope football wise? 1.12 to place and ,yes, 3 places make life a little easier. Price gapper here and typical of today's racing, is not as rock solid as the 1.79 would have us believe
BUT will he get beaten by 3 others i a 7 runner race? One is 66/1 so should be 6 runners and 3 places and there are only 3 horses under 16/1 so the bookmakers are making this a 3 horse race
Scandinavian countries cups today at 5pm see a number of very short odds on shots away from home
17:00 Sollerod-Vedbaek vs AB Copenhagen 5/1 10/3 2/5
17:00 FC Vestsjaelland vs Esbjerg 19/4 7/2 2/5
17:00 Greve vs SonderjyskE 8/1 7/2 2/7
18:00 Frem vs Koge 8/1 4/1 1/4
18:00 FC Fyn vs AaB Aalborg 12/1 11/2 1/5
18:00 Hjorring vs Silkeborg 14/1 9/2 1/6
These latter 2 games interest me Look at the draw in the Fyn game - 11/2 - compare that with the 9/2 in theHjorring game. Can we assume Ladbrokes think Aalborg are more likely to win their game because the draw price is HIGHER than that of a team 1/6 to win?
14/1 and 12/1 tell you that Ladbrokes think Fyn and Hjorring are beaten already
18:00 Lolland FA vs Lyngby 10/1 22/5 1/5
19:00 KR Reykjavik vs IBV 4/11 17/5 6/1
19:45 Newcastle vs Huddersfield 4/7 11/4 5/1
An interesting price for Newcastle this as they have been solid at home and Ameobi has found his level scoring regularly- how seriously Newcastle take the CArling Cup is anyone's guess
19:45 West Brom vs Rotherham 2/5 7/2 7/1
19:45 Doncaster vs Tottenham 6/1 10/3 4/9
The Spuds are flying and have a superb attacking force and team news will determine the worth of the 4/9
19:45 Arsenal vs Celtic 1/3
No Cesc Fabregas tonight a blow for the Arse. Celtic did beat Dynamo Moscow by the required 2 goals to progress last round but there is a gulf in quality between Premiership and Scottish PRemier LEague
19:45 Olympiacos vs Sheriff Tiraspol 1/4 9/2 11/1
19:45 Stuttgart vs Timisoara 2/7 4/1 10/1
Bundesliga teams have a habit of scoring goals so this could be a good trading match here?
19:45 Hibernian vs Brechin City 2/9 9/2 7/1
All the scottish shorties obliged yesterday - more of the same tonight

SHORTLIST
430 WARWICK- Asateer - desparate attempt to justify this as a bet - 3 under 16/1, still odds on here - has run class 2 and class 4 with a 3rd in class 5 last time out - 1.12 - 3 places - 7 runners - 1 66/1 shot makes this a 50/50 race?
And that's it folks - a short short list for the horses
Football wise, well The Racing Post tells us NEwcastle have a few injuries so I'll leave them.
THe question is which team will easily justify their odds?
Silkeborg interest me away to Hjorring at 1/6 - the market really has no liquidity -Ladbrokes offer 1.16 and there's plenty of 1.16 available at Betfair - NOT IN RUNNING
Champions LEague odds have been spot on for the shorties and Olympiakos are 1/5 while Stuttgart are 1/4 - in running this game - both take 2-0 away results back home
TEam news required for West Brom and Spurs who both look great IF strong teams are played - the latter - we can lay DOncaster at 8.4 for a 1.12 bet
ONE A DAY
I am drawn to Silkeborg here (but know nothing about team news etc) at 1.16 as long as the 1/6 quoted by Ladbrokes for an away side is a good reflection
Elsewhere the horses do not appeal (again! - patience my Son)
Stuttgart look good and West Brom and Spuds I would wait for team news - strong Spuds side and it's a lay of Doncaster in an in running match
